Baaaaaaaaaah my bike ride this morning was terrible... first of all I forgot my sunnies, and was already out the gate by the time I'd realised so there was no point turning around. Then the path I take was crowded with runners, there was some kind of event on that I hadn't heard about... and it was against the wind the whoooooooole way. Seriously I was so close to jumping off my bike and walking SOOO many times, just so my legs could have a break (I didn't though!)
Work was insanely busy too, so glad I only had 3 hours today. It's 37 degrees celcius today too, sooo hot inside. Hahaha it's all just combined to make me feel super cranky right now!!!
Well tomorrow will be my first official start day. Going to weigh myself and post my measurements etc and set a mini goal... WOO! Until then :waving:
 
Good morning to all!!!!!! Just stepped on the scales at 69kg... was feeling pretty ok with that, just coming out of Christmas and New Years. SO. Today is going to be the official start of my first mini goal.
As you can see by my ticker, my long term goal is 60kg. My first short term goal will be 66.5kg (or less, the calories I'm eating and will continue to do I should be losing around 800g a week- which means I'd get to 65kg... but bodies don't always listen to numbers lol) by the time classes start again Feb 7- so 5 weeks.

Here are all my stats:
Weight- 69kg ~ 152.1lbs

Measurements
Bust (around fullest part)- 97cm ~ 38.2inches
Waist (around smallest part)- 77 ~ 30.3inches
Hips (around fullest part of bum)- 97cm ~ 38.2inches
Thighs (around fullest part, right under butt cheek)- 61cms ~ 24inches
Arms (midway between shoulder and elbow)- 30cms ~ 11.8inches

Plan is I'm going to keep exercising as I have been (cardio every day, gym every second day) and eat to an 850calorie deficit which I've already been doing. Already drinking over 3L of water a day with the heat and don't really eat takeaway or anything... actually generally eat pretty healthy. Don't really have any other food goals :D

Breakfast: 2 soft rye wraps with nutmeat, cream cheese, tomato, spinach
Snack: Wholemeal date honey and carrot cake, tinned pineapple
Lunch: Wholemeal sandwich with cheese, carrot, tomato, spinach
Snack: 2 rows wholegrain rice crackers, homemade raspberry popsicle
Dinner: Brown rice sushi with 2 eggs, 1/2 tbsp mayo, red capsicum, spinach

Total cals 2148= 856cal deficit

Exercise
1hr walk, gym

Doing a lot of small things today, have to go and do some shopping and clean up a bit... going to be baking and making sushi again today too. Didn't do any dishes or anything yesterday (ick) as it ended up getting up to 40 degrees yesterday and was WAAAY too hot to have to put my hands in hot water lol. Seriously, we have no air con, just ceiling fans... so pretty much as soon as the sun comes out we shut up the whole house, pull all the blinds (yea, it's dark in here all day) and it only makes the house a couple degrees cooller than outside. Boo!! Had the worst sleep ever last night, it was sooo hot. I got out of bed at 6am cuz I couldn't take it anymore and the weather thing on my computer said it was already 26 degrees :coolgleamA:

Anyhoo... I'm off to exercise now!!!

Total cals- 1809= 818 cal deficit

First off... O.M.G. It's raining!!!! It's been MONTHS since it rained!!! Actually there's thunderstorms going on right now, which makes me SUPER excited!!! :biggrinjester:
I saw rain was forecast so I actually got up 30mins earlier this morning and went for my walk, then went to the gym... and it was pouring down when I left so yay, good timing!!

Dinner: Sushi with brown rice, crabstick, carrot, cucumber, and cream cheese (out of mayo!)

Decided to work my legs a bit more today. Grr this really annoys me- the gym across the road doesn't have an olympic bar. So I don't usually do deadlifts (I LOVE deadlifts) just because if I'm going to, whatever weight I choose I actually have to pick it up and carry it from the weight stack rather than just slipping weights onto a bar in smaller increments. Like I normally deadlift 40-45kgs, but I can't carry that much weight across the room to deadlift it... so I just grab a dumbbell I know I can carry, deadlift, and put away without issue. It's just a pain in the bum!!!

It's my husbands birthday today!! We aren't doing much, I'm just going to make the house look schmick by the time he gets home and I'm cooking him his fave pasta dish and making a cake he requested (which I won't be eating. Lemon cake, ew!) The pasta dish is healthy too so no biggy! I'm having a friend come round this arvo too which will be cool, haven't really caught up with anyone for almost a week! She's staying for dinner too.
I wasn't too great yesterday, TOM came today so that would be why... I ate 2 hot cross buns (damn hubby for bringing them home) and a couple of pieces of plain bread. I think I ended up eating to maintenance so wasn't TOO bad... feel pretty ick and bloated this morning though!!

Yay, so made myself go for a walk. Glad I did, felt so much better afterward. SO nice outside today too!!!
Spent the whole morning cleaning the house, chopping up veg for dinner and baking hubbys birthday cake, and just chilling out this afternoon.

Think I'll be having a glass or two of wine with dinner I think, it's a special occasion and I won't be eating any cake. Still have 150 spare cals for the day too :D

When I was doing my workout last night I thought about you and how if you were my personal trainer you would be telling me to do one more set. I think it's so cool you are working your way to a career you are going to love - I would love to be in your shoes!
 
Hey Lisa!! Haha I actually do have a bit of a reputation for being a hard-ass... love it lol. I can't wait until classes start again, they're a lot of fun... 6 months and I'll be getting paid for it!! :D
You know it's never too late to change your career path...?

Last night was SO much fun!!! I was really good, had the right serving of pasta and couldn't get through it all while I was drinking anyway. Ended up having half a bottle of wine, could've been a lot worse though... the friend that came over drank it with me and she brought champagne with her!! She got into that and I was quite content with my water :D
It's my birthday in a month too, so hubby and me and a few friends are going to this outdoor cinema outside the casino for this Heath Ledger tribute. Think they are going to play the Dark Knight and his family will be there saying a few words, a few celebs are listed as making appearances too. We are getting a double VIP pass which includes priority seating and cabana chairs (haha that we get to keep afterwards!) a bottle of wine, a gormet picnic hamper, and a couple of icecreams. Haha that movie was like my husbands favourite EVER so there was no way we were going to miss it!

Your workout yesterday sounds great! I wish I knew more of those exercises. I'll have to google them.
I was telling my hubby last night I would love to be a trainer but I have so much to learn and my focus for the next year after my honeymoon is to work on starting a family so the timing isn't the best. Maybe one day though. I always want to be fit and I know that would be the best start. For now I will just live through you!
Your plans for your birthday sound like so much fun!! I loved Heath Ledger too. So sad.

Hey guys, sorry for disappearing off the face of the planet again, the past few weeks have been craziness and drama...

I think in one of my old diaries I mentioned my bestie Wade, who had cancer? Well he was in remission for a few months toward the end of last year. We found out a couple of days before my birthday that it was back, and now it's terminal. It's in his liver again, completely inoperable... His doctor says he has around 5 years, and he's on really insane meds and will have to have chemo every 2 months for the rest of his life.
I used to work at a cafe with Wade (he was the manager, he gave me the job cuz I hated mine lol) and we discovered we worked really well together and we talked for ages about opening a cafe. Anyhoo, we always wanted to do it and we were thinking several years from now... but obviously Wade may not have the luxury of time anymore. SO... he rang me a couple of weeks ago after he told his parents about it- and they've given him the money to do it now! Hahaha he's actually buying the cafe we used to work at (it's shut down since then) Business names have been applied for and waiting on paperwork to go through... I'm doing it with him of course, and it felt like what I wanted/needed to do. So I dropped school (if I didn't do it in the first 4 weeks I would've lost all I'd paid in fees) And I'm working parttime and hunting for another job in the meantime till the cafe is ours. It's insane buying a business, it drags on as much (if not more) than when I bought my house!

Also my job at work has changed, I'm a supermarket baker now and I start work at 5am most days... I'm only working 21hrs a week at the moment though as they have no more shifts to offer me so I'm searching for a second job. I haven't been to the gym for ages pretty much because of this- we are having the worst heat wave EVER in Perth right now, it's been above 36 degrees celcius every day for pretty much the whole of Feb (with 2-3 days a week being around 38-41c!!). It's been KILLER. The gym I go to has dodgy air con so I'd normally go early morning before it gets really hot but any motivation I may have had has been stamped out by the weather lol. I think it's starting to cool down now though, it's forecast 32-33c every day this week which is a huge improvement!

Really want to get back into it now though, I have spare time on my hands now so I should definitely be making the most of it. I don't even WANT to know what I weigh right now, our scales died just over a week ago so I ordered some more off the net, hoping they'll be here by Fri.

Luzzzzz *hugs* I definitely remember Wade and I'm sorry to hear that his cancer has progressed to terminal. I think it's great that he's not letting it stop him from going after his dreams and it was really big of his family to help the both of you get started. I think you are really a natural and you definitely have such vibrant energy. How do you like the baking? I remember you used to do a lot of baking of your own...such healthy and delicious sounding things.

I can't believe it is 41C some days. I really cannot stand the heat...I'd prefer to be cold lol

Hey Luz - great to see you back!! Sorry to hear about Wade - I know you will make the rest of his life the best it can be though so you should just concentrate on the time you'll have together.
I can't believe you quit school - I guess the cafe is more of a dream for you and who actually gets to live their dreams! Your going to do great there and you can always go back to school!
I'm sure you've maintained - you always do well. Looking forward to having you back and kicking some butt with me! Take care!
