Sore from yesterday a little bit, but today was HIIT sprints,, did 20 intervals,, getting some of them up to 11.5 mph! Whew. Dont know bout yall, but that was fast for me.. ONce i ALMOST thought i was going to go flying across the gym. I felt my foot at the end of the treadmill. That would NOT have been pretty! :eek:
I am soo glad it is over!
 
WOW, Good job! How do you do HIIT on a treadmill though? I thought that was hard to do.
 
hey shells..
its really easy to adjust the treadmill for HIIT.

heres what i do:

my sprint is 15 sec, and the slower period is 45 sec so that totals a minute.

when adjusting my speed, i allow about 5 seconds for it to go to the speed i put it at..
for instance,
at each minute when the treadmill says 6:00 or 8:00 mins for example, this is when I will sprint,,,but in order to start sprinting RIGHT at the 6:00, i would start taking my speed up at 5:55 to make time to speed the treadmill up so that i really would have a full 15 sec sprint. and when the treadmill says 6:15, I will take it down to my slower pace. and then repeat w/ the next minute.

hmm i hope that makes sense.

I was in a super rush today and rest periods were supposed to be 90 seconds, but I didnt rest 90 sec between each set,, more like 60.

Superset w/ full rest
Barbell reverse grip bent over row 4 sets at 80 x 3 (too heavy) and 2 sets 70 x 3
Barbell Bench Press 65x3,65x4,65x4,70x2,70x2,and 70x5 spotter helped get that 5th rep halfway

Superset w/full rest
Wide grip cable seated row 60x3 and next 5 sets at 55x3
DB incline bench 5 sets at 25x3 and one set 30x3 barely!

Dip Assisted Machine
22 lbs assisted 5 sets of 3

Then was supposed to do Ball crunch but short on time so:
Hanging leg raises 3 sets---8,6,5
 
i have tried dips w/out the assist machine and i can only do like a half of one! hahhaa.. not there yet! hopefully soon!
 
Just a half dip, huh ?? :) I'm a bit surprised. Your numbers in your workouts are decent. I thought maybe you could get a couple of BW dips. You'll be cranking them out before you know it. :D
 
I feel like dips don't really carry over to comparisons to other exercises, or at least most of the time, or maybe that's just me...

Sometimes it just takes some getting used to for your body to become adjusted to the full range of motion.

You could try a negative dip type of deal. Just slowly lowering yourself into the position, then dropping. Or the opposite, starting from the lowered position, and just trying an explosive movement (pushing up) to get one full dip. I really think you'd be able to do one.
 
Thanks for that tip AJP.. gonna try that next time. the motion kinda freaks me out when i try to do it without assistance. i will like im going to fall or something!

Pull Ups: 3 sets of 1 (thats all i can do with my own weight)
This is the first time I have been able to do a real pullup all the way on my own..Without assistance, jumping, whatever.. EVEN if it is only ONE!!! IM STILL EXCITED!

Well today was beautiful outside .. so me and my husband conquered some major hills on the bike. Whew. Trying to catch my breath at the top of the hill was a killer! And I have asthma and didnt have my inhaler.
So on to bigger and better things

GUESS WHAT?! IM PREGNANT! :D :D :D :D

My DH and I are soo happy! We have been trying for a while! Im about 5 or 6 weeks along! My hub returned from a 2 week work trip. I had been dying to tell him but didnt want to tell him over the phone so I finally got to tell him yesterday! He is sooo freakin happy too!
