TODAY was rest day. Thank God.

But I didnt post yesterday's workout so here it is.

All rest periods 90 seconds unless otherwise noted.

Superset with full rest:
Barbell reverse grip bent over row 55x6,60x6,65x6,65x6,65x6
Barbell Bench Press 55x6,60x6,60x6,60x6,65x4

Supserset wtih full rest:
Wide grip cable seated row 50x6,50x6,55x6,55x5,55x6
Dumbbell incline bench press (palms facing) 5 sets of 25 x 6

Dip on assist machine
40 lbs assisted (I weigh 125) 5 sets of 6

Swiss ball crunch
3 sets of 12 holding 15 lb behind head
 
Just catching up on your journal. Looks like your doing very well, nice job :) I'm surprised/impressed to see a female on NROL.

That's pretty creapy about that weird guy. I say not only get headphones...but find the biggest, toughest guy thats in the weight room often and tell him to say something to the guy. I mean, I understand a guy checking out a girl in the gym, but theres a difference in being a total creap and checking someone out.

Looking good girl!! I'm not Tony but when I did HT-1 I added stuff at the end of my workouts to hit areas I needed a little extra work on. Great numbers you got going on!
 
Thanks Jenn. I will be adding stuff for sure then! More isolation exercises at the end?? If Jenn says do it, it must be good! :D

Today was HIIT sprints. As always, I thought I was going to die! :rolleyes: But I made it somehow!;)
 
I just do things like shrugs, face pulls, external/internal shoulder rotations, and pushups. Just to keep the shoulders strong.

I dont add anything like bicep curls though, but to each his/her own.

Snatch grip deadlift
3 sets of 12 reps at 65 lbs

Superset w/ full rest
Dynamic Lunge
3 sets of 12 at 45 lbs (barbell)

and

Step up
3 sets of 12 each leg holding 15 lb DB in each hand
______________

Hanging Leg Raises instead of incline reverse crunch (because my thong was playing peep show I had to do this instead)
3 sets of 7 or 8

Then I added at end:
Calf press
4 sets at 90 lbs

I seem to be having an issue on the conventional deadlifts... My knees seem to almost buckle inwards or outwards when I begin to come up. But 65lbs doesnt seem to heavy,, I am really trying to watch my form, but in the mirror it looks like they are ever so slightly going inward towards the raising. Feet are straight ahead and shoulder width apart. Any suggestions?
 
Where are your hands placed for the deads? What I mean is, are your hands outside of your legs? Or do your arms go over your legs? If you are doing snatch grip (and even regular conventional deads) obviously your grip should be wider (outside legs)...especially with the snatch grip.

Also, are you squatting down far enough? Make sure you are getting down low and getting a good push off.

You could try the snatch grip off of a box as well, or maybe eventualy...

It is snatch grip so my hands are outside my legs.. wayyyy outside.. as far as i can reach on the bar..i am squatting all the way down til the plates hit the floor and then back up.

Well, I would try altering your stance/footing position a tad to see what works best. Sometimes I pull better when I get my feet closer together. Really focus on getting a great push off, like a squat... with the bar in your hands though obviously

Haha, thanks, or wait, you're welcome...I don't know what to say... I'll find some good videos of deadlifts and shoot em back to you so you can just get a comparison, maybe it'll help. Whenever my form is sucking on any lifts I go down to a light/easy weight and just nail the form, and then immediately go back to my real (work) sets, maybe try it out, it may help.
 
Well today is a bummer. I dont know why, I just feel depressed as can be! I didn't work out today, but its like the first day all week that I havent, so I know my body needs it.

I feel so good when i workout that its hard for me to take a day off. I feel like a lazy fat slob today and my clothes feel tight. Im totally feeling the stomach pooch and all that great stuff. I feel like I ''feel'' all my flaws when I dont workout. It drives me batty! And when I get depressed I do bad on my diet at night time.. night time is the only time i do bad on my diet.. but that doesnt help things. Calories add up. It's like how I cope and find comfort with the pressures in my life, school, work, stuff... after a long day,, eat too much but then i feel bad anyways.. ugh. :mad:

Today was pictures at work day. :( Just a head and shoulders shot basically. They took my pic, I saw it, and I thought 'gag' just keep the old one that is 2 yrs old. I hate my new red hair and well just yuck yuck yuck. Can't wait for it to fade!! Ok enough of this depressing talk. This can't possibly help my mood. I need to go home after work and take my dog on a walk or something. Maybe that will help. But I dont really feel like being social and my dog always gets attention so I may have to wear headphones. The universal ''I cant hear you'' look! :D
