Sara, you are a very caring bright person. That clearly comes across in your posts. I truly dont understand why some people think they must state things that are negative without any beneficial reason behind this. I mean, you're already on a weight loss plan and she didn't even find that out before criticizing. And to let you know how that she and her husband were commenting amongst themselves about you is really rude. What is HER weight?? Aaaaaaaaah, perhaps she's jealous of your youth

I think its great that you've decided to do the weights. I started them when I was 24 and it was the best thing I've done (I"m now at the end of the next decade so its been a while). I started out doing full body circuit training on the machines for about 12 weeks. So I think that's an excellent place to start for you. For the first few sessions, dont worry about the weight or increasing it, just get the motion down and let your muscles get used to being worked. Sometimes we get sore even when we could've lifted a lot more, so go easy at first. You will be surprised how much better your body starts to look and how much stronger you become in every day life from using weights.
