Lukewarm's Weight Loss Diary

I need to lift today and I need to weigh myself. I hate the scale.

My sister is visiting this weekend, so we'll be playing tennis, maybe we'll go walking on the beach. She just quit her basketball team because although she's great, the girls don't vibe well with her. So we're going to have fun and forget about boring mean girls. I'll take her grocery shopping tomorrow, I know she won't want to eat my food. I am NOT going to eat junk.

Good on ya for the water intake Luke! Don't let the scale let you down. I was 150 last week and this morning I was 151.5. Really, I don't feel bad about it at all. It's gonna come off when it's gonna come off. But last week I did have 2 cheat nights instead of my usual one. On the other hand, I worked out good last week and upped my free weights from 5 to 8 pounds. So maybe some of it is muscle. Clothes are fitting better all the time.

Your weekend with your sister sounds great. Playing tennis, the beach and shopping. As long as you plan activities like that, I think you'll be able to stay away from eating junk.

Have a nice night!

2Skinny thanks....I love your new avatar! That's so great that your clothes are fitting better, truthfully that's all I trust lately. Unfortunately mine feel the same. I don't know. Too many carbs. My cardio needs to get intensified. I'm trying to be ambivalent as well. Well I'm not going to think about it too much today. Have a good morning!

Hi Luke Sweetheart~~ I'm happy to read your sis is coming into to town and your going to do some tennis and other fun stuff. Maybe that's exactly what the doctor ordered to get you uplifted again!! We are all in that plateau boat together, so don't get upset over it alright?? Some months we are only going to see maybe a pound or 2 gone, but it's not about that anymore, NO it's about the way we feel when we look in the mirror. It's going to be about how good we feel after we went out and got that exercise and realized it did our bodies some good. As you keep plugging along eventually your body will start moving down on the scales and the clothes and you will be so proud you kept on going. You eat so good!!! and you are trying so hard. THAT'S what weight loss is all about. So on that note, enjoy your sis and the time you can spend together. And eat really good and be proud you did! Everyone here deserves the biggest PAT on the back for just having a good eating day, because I know how hard it is just to do that alone. Your on track, so don't worry!! Enjoy your weekend !!! :rotflmao:

Sounds like it's going to be a nice visit with your sister! It's great that you guys have plans to be together and forget those mean girls!

Hope you're doing well!

Definately forget those mean girls, and have fun playing tennis. My sister and I are trying to play...trying, mind you, but not exactly succeding. We hit it into the net, or over the 20 ft fence more often than not! :D

Have a great weekend!

Miss Ladybug We certainly are in the same plateau boat! Thanks for the support, and you’re absolutely right that this is about how we feel and take care of ourselves, and I’m going to remain optimistic. I’m happy she’s here, we do need to have a little fun. I hope you have a wonderful weekend as well! :)

M2M aw thanks! Yes we will enjoy the weekend and I hope you do the same! :)

Xorie haha That is exactly where we are at the moment too, (sometimes it feels like baseball) don’t worry…we’ll all improve! Imagine us playing doubles together…well at least we’d get our cardio in chasing all those fly balls!

It's about to thunderstorm here...which is my absolute favorite type of evening, so we're just going to chill inside and enjoy the weather. Some good movies...I always make her watch stuff she thinks she won't like, and then she's surprised. My mom is so funny, we were just talking and she's rambling about lord of the rings and how she loves the horsey part? And she's telling me how she needs to go shopping because they ran out of chocolate, and she simply can't have that...:rotflmao: she's so hilarious to me. Tomorrow we're celebrating with a bottle of wine and yes I'm going to have chocolate  and we'll be laying around. Sounds good!

hmmm... Lord of the Rings + lots of Riders of the Rohirrium...= happiness. :D I love that part in the movie.

And thunderstorms. In colorado, my parents told me that there was a daily 3:00 thunderstorm that would roll by all the time.

Xorie it actually didn't even storm, I wish it had though.

awww.. isn't that depressing? It does that a lot here in Washington. You get the big clouds with the tall thunderheads... and all you get is a little drizzle while the storm moves on to the mountains...:(

how is the soy milk? Do you like it?

Hey, sorry I haven't been on for a couple days, been so busy with mother's day and whatnot it's nuts!

Anyways, I hope you have a great time with your sister. I'm sorry she quit her team, but it's no fun to hang around people whom you don't get along with. So I'm sure you guys will have plenty of fun together. Tennis is so not my thing, it made my wrist hurt the last time I played it (which was in high school grade 10....lol.) I like badminton better because it's lighter and it doesn't hurt me, lol.

Have an awesome time celebrating with choclate and wine, that sounds wonderful! It'll be a great treat :D

Xorie Yeah it is sad, I love watching the rainstorms. I was on the rooftop bar at work a few weeks ago and when I first started setting up the sky was blue and the sun was hot, it was gorgeous. 20 minutes later I saw the sky darken over the ocean and literally watched the storm heading for land. It was so amazing. I barely had time to roll the computer indoors. It took 10 minutes for the rain to reach the beach, it was really cool.Oh yeah and I love the vanilla soy milk. I never liked cow milk much anyways, it grossed me out, but I am in love with soy milk. Total love.

Risty hello! Yeah I know I have a lot to do I shouldn't be on here posting. Yeah she's a funny mellow girl. She doesn't play the 'cool' game, which makes her cool. We have fun. I hope you have a nice mother's day as well.

I'm going to try and like soy milk again. lol It's so damn healthy. And they say Japanese women have very few menopause symptoms because there's so much soy in their diet, so...

Have a great Sunday Luke!

hmmm... maybe i'll go and get some tonight. It sounds good enough for me to try, and I know that since it's different, my brother won't even think about touching it. :D

2Skinny I know! I never wanted to try it either, until one day I happened to pick up a carton, and I've now converted my mother as well. So yum! I never realized there was a correlation between soy and menopause symptoms.

Xorie There's a benefit for sure! How many siblings do you have?

I spent Mother's Day shopping and cleaning to be honest. I wanted to go visit my mom but she got home too late and asked if I'd come over tomorrow instead. So tomorrow we'll spend time together. I made fried rice tonight....I know I know....but it's so good....I saved half for tomorrow night. You should see the beautiful chopsticks I found! I love chopsticks, they're art.

My place is really clean though. My sheets and all that are clean as well. It feels so nice. I promised Mom I'd clean for her tomorrow and do her laundry for her. I'm her taxi for the week as well, it is my sister's and step-brother's last week at school and I'll be picking them up so my Mom doesn't have to chauffer.

I have one problem with today. I DROPPED MY LAPTOP! I'm so sad. I broke off some of the plastic and I've had my computer for 2 years now so the warranty is up and I'm really scared to send it in to be fixed. I can't spend more than 30 minutes at a time on it because something is wrong with the fan. But if I do send it back to Toshiba to get fixed, I won't have my laptop for at least 3 weeks. Which means posting via my school's library computers, which I don't actually mind, but it's just so convenient to post as I go along with the day, whenever I have a minute. I am not sure....it could be worse, I could have totally shattered it. Have a good night everyone :)

There are four of us.

Chris-19
Me- 17
Danielle- 15
Eric-13

then, my mom and dad, a dog, and a few "adopted" siblings. (aka, friends that come over a lot and can just walk right in without knocking or saying that they are coming over)

Morning Luke!! Sounds like you had a good weekend, MINUS the computer drop. We had a computer malfuction at our household this weekend as well. Okay, my son took his computer to a friends for the weekend and as usual it came back not working, hmmmm how does that happen. Anyways, they have another one in his brothers room, but I'm still ticked it's going to cost us ANOTHER 150.00 to get it fixed (AGAIN) yep it got fried over the summer during a storm. So it's like, not again!! HAHAHAH But all in all it was a good weekend. I hope your week is a good one. I'll stop by later today if I get the chance. SEE YA!
Kim

Hey, sorry to hear about your computer! Man that would really suck. I broke something too... I damaged my car a little, AH! I was stupid, I was doing this u-turn in our parking lot of the apartment and I really thought I was gonna clear this little brick trim around the place and I didn't. I was soooo upset, I've never done anything like that before. I'm never gonna do that again, I don't care if it looks like I'll clear it I'm gonna back up a bit and then move foward, so stupid! Now I have a dent on my front bumper, it really sucks, lol.

Too bad your mom got in late on Mother's Day, at least you can do something today with her. It'll be just as nice.

I've never tried Soy before... I don't know what the benefits are. I like my skim milk so that's not an issue. I just don't know if there's enough benefits to it to make me start drinking it is all, lol.
