Heya Brawny!

Sorry I haven't dropped in on anyone else's diaries, going to try my absolute hardest after this post. Miss my laptop almost as much as I miss my husband!

I have a job interview tomorrow at 9.30am, its for a part time job in a phone/internet sales place. Only part time but enough to pay my share of rent, buy food and get a gym membership. Fingers crossed!

Exercise- did a really rough full-on full body circuit this morn, went for just over half an hour and I didn't pause between exercises or circuits. Think I'm going to walk to the shopping centre soon too to see where the shop is I'm having my interview at tomorrow. The place is huge and I'm bound to get lost and be late! So maybe a 20min walk too.

Seriously wish it would quit raining already! Haha its only been going for a day but its supposed to keep going the rest of the week. Over it already, this weather makes me want to not exercise and curl up in bed with multiple cups of coffee. Exercise is happening though, promise!

Didn't end up doing much the rest of yesterday, watched a few movies (uh, have to say the Cabin in the Woods is the weirdest thing I've watched in ages). Just waiting to hear back about this job, if its a no go I'll be printing resumes and handing them to everyone.

I got a phone call yesterday from the place that interviewed me, they were very impressed and were just going to contact my referees and do a criminal history check. Fingers crossed I'll get a call on Monday saying I'm employed!

Ended up eating a bit extra yesterday (oops) but still would have been within maintenance. Did a quick but intense workout this morning already, 10mins of boxing with a quick 10min strength circuit straight after followed by a few stretches. Really want today and tomorrow to be awesome, expecting a good weigh in on Mon!

Reached the end of the week already, really proud of this week! Food and exercise-wise, also the possibility I might have a job already is awesome! Will hopefully find out tomorrow.

Today Wade is sick, went for a walk down to the shop to grab him a bucket. Poor guy. Apart from that I also did a workout this morning.

Grr wrote a post and my phone ate it. Touch screens are a pain! Try again!

Straight back into it again, I'm excited about that loss and want to get good results every week. I'm aiming to weigh 67kgs by the time my husband gets here in 7 weeks- so that's 4.2kgs to get rid of in that time! (600g average weight loss per wk). Definitely doable if I stick to my guns! Had a much better tax refund than expected too, it'll fund two months of PT (though will only use it for that if I get this job).
Hopefully wil hear about the job soon, almost business hours here! They called me early on Fri too. Fingers crossed!

today's food plan

b 2 homemade protein bars, decaf coffee with cream
s decaf coffee with cream
l 2 eggs with 30g cheese cooked in butter
s 1 hardboiled egg
d homemade chicken meatloaf, broccoli and cauliflower with 30g grated cheese

Total cals ended at around 2550, no exercise today. They're so high cuz I ended up eating a few extra protein bars and an extra serve of meatloaf, oops!

Got both good and bad news today... Good new, I got the job! Yay! I start on Friday.

Bad news- my husband got knocked back on his transfer, which means he will have to step down to a lower position and apply again. So it'll set us back money wise and him back career wise. Its so shitty. I'm not going to let it stress me out until I know how much of a pay cut it'll be- I'm just worried me working part time won't be enough and it'll screw up my study plans. Which is the reason we moved here. Might have to do the first semster by correspondence or something, really hope not though because I could've done that anywhere, I moved here so I could actually attend classes and meet people. If I go part time then suddenly its 6+ years of study instead of 3. Argh. Will see what happens.

Ate a bit extra yesterday, nothing that'll upset my goal or anything for the week. TOM is due so I think that's related. Been going really well today, did a hard sweaty workout this morning!

today's food

b homemade protein bar, decaf coffee with cream
s post workout choc chia protein pudding, decaf coffee with cream
l 2 eggs cooked in butter, 1/2 avocado
s 1 hardboiled egg
d leftover meatloaf, cauliflower and broccoli with cheese

Total cals for the day are around 1570.

Exercise was a 30min strength session.

You are employed! I knew they would pick you! Sorry about your hubsters setback but don't worry too much till you figure the damages. Might not be that bad plus if he can just get to the new location he will probably much happier (cause he will be with you right?)
Say...how do you make a homemade protein bar?

Hey Brawny! The protein bars I'm eating right now are one of my made up recipes, going to post it on my site as soon as I get my computer LOL. They are peanut butter cookie dough flavour! Here's what's in them-

180g vanilla protein powder
375g peanut butter (mine is natural unsalted, 100% peanuts)
1tsp of salt (or to taste. Might not needed of your pb is already salty)
1 cup desiccated coconut (more for texture, you can't taste it)
100g coconut oil, liquefied

That's it! Mix it all together and flatten in a square tin lined with baking paper. Press it flat then refrigerate for several hours until solid, then cut into 12 bars. Come to around 360cals each which is perfect for me for breakfast with my coffee with cream. I use fitday to work out macros but don't have a computer for another fortnight so if you're interested you'll have to work it out yourself lol. I eat a high fat/ moderate protein/ low carb diet and they fit in perfect.

Had a really good day today guys! Went and had a little shop- needed to get some business clothes for work until my uniform comes in. That was fun, love being so close to everything! Then we went grocery shopping which I actually love just as much, haha.

Watched Man of Steel this afternoon which I was so excited to see I was so anxious during the whole movie haha! Have been desperately waiting for about a year for it though. It was not disappointing at all either, was SO good!

Got home and made pizza- wanted a lighter base though, so me having a moment of genius (or possibly a stroke) made a base with 1/2 the ingredients I'd normally use and added a packet of shirataki rice (rinsed etc) then made the base as usual. It actually worked! I premade the base and topped it before we went out then cooked it 4hours later so it was a tiny bit soggy so ate it with a knife and fork... Will definitely be trying that again though, it was a full size pizza and the entire base was just under 400cals. And it was SO GOOD!

today's food

b homemade protein bar, decaf coffee with cream
s leftover meatloaf
l 1 piece sunflower seed bread, 40g cream cheese, homemade protein ice cream
s latte at the movies
d 1/3 giant homemade pizza topped with lots and LOTS of jalapenos, bacon, mushrooms, onion, tomato paste, herbs, garlic, mozzarella and parmesan

Total cals are around 1690.

exercise 10mins of boxing so intense I had to walk around the house for about 5 mins thinking I was either going to projectile vomit or pass out, followed by a quick 5min strength circuit and stretches. Also did a heap of walking today

Congrats on getting the job!

On the protein bar, does the peanut butter overwhelm the taste of the protein powder. The one time I tried to have some protein powder, I thought the stuff tasted just terrible. Or maybe I need a different powder...

Im gonna try these bars this weekend but first I gotta get my metric conversions down...ha ha We are so behind the rest of the world.
Good job on the healthy cooking substitutions!
