Lucy's Diary

Wow, could you imagine how much easier losing weight would be if you won lotto? You could have a staff of people making sure you're doing everything correctly- chef, nutritionist, trainer... you could have a home gym in your new mansion too lol. I'd get skinny from all the cardio I'd be getting while out shopping :smilielol5: In reality though if I did win I'd drop everything and spend a year travelling. *sigh* That would be amazing.

Well I was incredibly good yesterday, stuck to my plan 100% foodwise... didn't do yoga though. Got home from work feeling particularly exhausted and made dinner (eeee, the curry was a LOT spicier than last time... good for me, but when hubby tried it I thought I'd killed him) then we just crashed on the couch. We were both so tired we didn't even talk, just watched tv. I had to send him to bed at like 8pm because he kept falling asleep and snoring really loudly lol. We are going to watch a movie tonight, he really wants to see Book of Eli so I agreed... have no idea what it's about or anything but hey, I don't mind. I have Sunday and Monday off too, so :hurray: He has tomorrow off so might drag him kicking and screaming around the river in the morning... Monday I might finish baking (I couldn't the other day- ran out of room in the freezer!!) O how boring my life sounds :smilielol5:

Todays plan:
Food
Breakfast: 2 pieces wholemeal grain toast, 2 eggs, 3 chicken chipolatas
Snack: Banana, serve of sesame and poppyseed crackers (these are yum! taste like salted peanuts in a weird kind of way!)
Lunch: Wholemeal grain sandwich with cheese, tomato, 1 cup spinach
Snack: 1/4 rockmelon, homemade banana choc chip muffin (used the same recipe I did last time, but with bananas and minus the almonds... they are sooo nice)
Dinner: Prawn curry with basmati rice

Exercise
1hr walk, 10min jog (decided to start counting my gym warmup), 30min gym with trainer

Have a great weekend everyone!!!

I had to send him to bed at like 8pm because he kept falling asleep and snoring really loudly lol.

lolololz This made me laugh toooooo much lol!

I <3 to travel! If I won the lotto I would do the same and pay for all my schooling. I think first stop would be Belize, then Egypt then India :D Where would you start?

I had curry yesterday and today. I bought Thai red curry shrimp yesterday and am eating it now, and my husband made curried chicken today. Have you ever tried Thai red curry Luz? DEEEELISH!

Yummmmmmmmmmmmmm I love ALL curry!!! Well, to be completely honest, if I wanted to travel I would want to go everywhere eventually... but I haven't even travelled Australia yet so I would start there!! Then would spend many months in Europe- would LOVE to see Italy, Spain, Greek Islands, France.... Ugh, EVERYWHERE!!!! And America too, would LOVE to spend an insane week in Las Vegas partying hard, check out LA and NY... then Canada... Really want to see Japan too, I think Tokyo would be insane. Seriously I haven't even been to Bali!!! I want to go everywhere!! Too many places, too little money!!!

I've been REALLY good today, super dooper proud of myself. And I convinced Ash to watch Iron Man 2 tonight instead, so YAY!! Can't wait to see it!!! Hope everyone is doing well this weekend!!!!!!!!

I would want to go everywhere eventually...

That's how I feel! Hubby and I have even talked about it. If we won the lotto, we'd have a nice house and new cars, sure, and we'd help friends and family and donate to some worthy causes and save a bunch. But a bulk of the fun money would be used to travel. We'd see the world!!! There's really no place that I don't want to go.

Good morning weight loss world!! Ok so it's Sunday morning... I was getting all excited about my little mid-week weigh in... I turned on the scales, it said "LO" then turned off. And won't turn back on!!!!! SO I need to buy batteries today and will weigh myself tomorrow. I'm so pissed off!! I'll make sure I get rechargeables this time!

Todays Plan:
Food
Breakfast: 2 pieces wholemeal grain toast, 2 eggs, 3 chicken chipolatas
Snack: Banana, sesame and poppyseed crackers
Lunch: Sandwich with cheese, tomato, 1 cup spinach
Snack: Apple, homemade blueberry muffin
Dinner: Honey soy stir fry with veal and egg noodles

Exercise
1hr 45min walk

:hurray: For days off!!!

Too many places, too little money!!!

I hear you on that one! When I *used* to have some money before they got rid of me @ work I was traveling. 'twas fun! Now I just think of where I want to go when money comes again and check the airfares online lol. Sometimes airfare is so cheap! Especially when you're flying from the east coast of the United States, and there are so many cool places near here. My husband wants to go to Australia lol (just thought I'd mention it since you live there).

In the United States I've traveled mostly along the East Coast. Anyways you can see my diary for the rest :p I'm not trying to take over your diary here!

Sux about the scale...it could at least give warning! Hope your day is going good as planned!

Hey lucy :) hope all is well with you. congrats on getting into the 140's!

Thanks Sunshyne!

I've always wanted to travel more than anything Xe, can't wait till we can finally get out and do something about it!

Just thought I'd let you know I'm doing really well today. Didn't walk round the river, Ash wanted a change of scenery so we went to Kings Park instead and walked for an hour up and down INSANE hills. Then walked around the city for a while and stopped for a coffee :D So to make up for that instead of having a sandwich at lunch I had a wrap instead. Don't know what to do this arvo, I'm thinking of sitting in the picnic area outside where I live by the water and catching up with everyone over the phone. SUCH a nice day outside, it's a fine and sunny 25 degrees celcius. Nice autumn day. Can't believe it's nearly winter! Doesn't feel like it yet!

So ate pretty bad yesterday... what's with me and weekends? It was just the one day, so shouldn't affect me too much... Couldn't actually weigh myself this morning either, I completely forgot you have to actually CHARGE rechargeable batteries before you can use them... so they are charging right now. I don't really think there's much point weighing myself Tues morn as my weigh day is Thurs... so I'll just wait it out.
Had a pretty bad sleep last night, was having really freaky dreams which hasn't happened to me for a LONG time.
Oh well, I have today off today to get myself feeling positive again. There is absolutely no bad food in the house at ALL so nothing for me to snack on either!

Todays plan:
Food
Breakfast: 2 pieces wholemeal grain toast with 2 eggs and 2 beef chevups
Snack: Banana, prune and zucchini muffin
Lunch: Tuna quesadilla
Snack: Apple, homemade blueberry muffin
Dinner: Soft rye wrap with cheese, tomato, 1 cup spinach

Exercise
10mins jogging, 30mins gym with trainer

Gym was abso-fricken-lutely insane this morning! I've never been so close to vomitting during a workout EVER! Did my usual jogging warmup, then did 3 rounds of fitball squats, the last round I was holding 12.5kg dumbells in each hand. Then I did this circuit- 5 assisted chin ups, 10 pushups, 15 squats- and had to do as many rounds as I possibly could in 10 minutes... just about killed me towards the end!! The squats were like my rest station!! Only managed 9.5 rounds, was a bit disappointed... really wanted to do at least 10! Anyway after that, did a heap of boxing with jumping lunges and box jumps thrown in in between... and then finished with crunches with this stupid inflatable disc thing behind my back, and then plank for 45 secs... with a 10kg weight on my back. Needless to say I'm a bit exhausted right now!!!
Anyhoo got home and remembered that self-hypnosis cd that I never tried and threw it on. It was an interesting experience- never been hypnotised or anything so don't know if it worked or not lol... it was weird though because when it finished, it felt like I had been lying there for an hour or so... but I got up and the track was only 9 mins long!!! I was like :ack2: Tripped me right out. Oh and now I feel like I actually had the best night sleep EVER when I so totally didn't. So it recommends to do it 3 days in a row and then when needed, so will do it tomorrow and the next day... don't know if it'll help with overeating, but it makes me feel really rejuvenated so that's a big fat plus in my book!
Also I sent hubby a txt this morning saying no more junk food- and he replied saying he wants to be healthy too. I think he got a bit upset yesterday when the jacket he wore all last year was a bit too tight for him to be comfortable in. Oh well now we can be good together!
Now just got to get motivated to do some house cleaning and baking today... still got some of those overripe bananas to make some more banana bread with :D

:seeya:

You are doing really really well. Now your hubby is on board with the weightloss too. This makes a world of difference, actually. Because you can motivate each other, keep track together, and exercise together. it is always nice to have your partner work for the same things you work for. Yay! Good days ahead....

He won't exercise with me (apart from the odd walk here and there) but yea having him being healthy foodwise is definitely going to be a big help. Did a heap of baking today- made more prune and zucchini muffins, wholemeal banana bread, and made some more oaty fruit slice with sultanas, mixed peel and glace cherries for something a bit different. Still have choc banana muffins and blueberry muffins in the freezer too, so have enough snacks to last for AGES. So was quite a productive day :D

I would love to hear my hunnie say he wants to be healthy too and actually stick with it! That would help so much! I wish I had today off too - I didn't get any house work done this weekend I was supposed to! Have a good day - your weekend looked great!! Your also motivating me to get a PT because your work outs sounds so great! - now I just need to convince my hunnie I need one!!

My PT is a lifesaver- because I've always booked and paid for my sessions even when I've had a few bad days I HAVE to go... it's usually what pulls me out of having a whole bad week! Plus he's great- I work harder in half an hour than I would by myself in twice the amount of time. Cuz he pushes me heaps too I do so many things I just didn't know I could do. Or would even think of doing. And every session is different so don't get bored... and the group sessions on Thurs are SO much fun! :D
We'll see how Ash goes being healthy... he says he wants to do it at work too, so THAT is what makes me think he's serious. Before he ate whatever at work and then was healthy as soon as he came home. He wants to keep Sunday as a junk food day though and I'm ok with that, usually turns out that way anyway. Just got to be a bit more careful with my cals on Sundays!!
Yesterday was a really good day, hooray! So straight back into it... I'll be super proud of myself if Sun is the only bad day this week! I know I can do it! Though my group weigh in on Thurs could have been SO much better- as long as it hasn't gone up I'll be ok with it. Really got to start trying a lot harder with my food intake!! Why does food have to be so good?? At least now I have a big variety of snacks in my freezer... I'm thinking of getting wholemeal square pizza bases and making pieces of pizza and freezing them too for savoury snacking. Might do that today :D

Todays plan:
Food
Breakfast: 2 pieces wholemeal grain toast, 2 eggs, 3 chicken chipolatas
Snack: Banana, oaty fruit slice
Lunch: Wholemeal grain sandwich with cheese, tomato, spinach
Snack: Apple (LOVING the pink ladies!) homemade blueberry muffin
Dinner: Roast chicken breast (skin removed), stir fried veg
Snack: Protein shake made with water

Exercise
30min walk, 2.5hr dance class

Yay dancing tonight!! Been looking forward to going again all week! Have an awesome day all!!!!

Completely forgot to mention this as well... did some cleaning the other day and found an old notebook that I kept when I lost weight before, just tracking what I weighed in at every week- I think there's something about being stuck in the 68s... I was stuck there for 5 weeks last time too!! Like fluctuating down to 67. something then up again. I'm SO not going to relive it again lol. I'm OUT of there this Thurs and then absolutely REFUSE to be in the 68s again! Actually I'm planning on the week after being incredibly insanely good and getting down to 66. something by Thurs next week! :D Feeling super motivated again, gotta roll with it!

Luz you should really open a bakery! Heck if there was a bakery nearby that sold the things you make I would be in there all the time!

We can be super good together :-D I want to be 251 by next Monday so we can stick it out and cheer each other on :p

I love baking!! One of those things that puts me in the best moods... No idea why lol. Don't know how the public would go for it though, Ash is too scared to try most things that I bake because he thinks they are too healthy... mind you he LOVES my wholemeal brownies (mostly sweetened with apple sauce too) and the wholemeal banana bread I make which is half bran, half wholemeal flour and sweetened with honey and of course just the natural sweetness bananas have. Mmmmm :D

Yay I'm SOOO up for being super good!!! Todays plans changed a little bit, Wade isn't feeling up to dancing tonight. SO walked home from work, which means walked for an hour today, and the lady from the gym group who was interested in dancing tonight is instead meeting me at the gym for a cardio workout. I plan on jogging for 30mins and biking for 20. Had to up my food intake slightly then as well- so dinner was roast chicken breast in a rye wrap with tomato and spinach, and I will have a protein shake with water when I get back from the gym.

Just thought I'd update- got back from the gym, jogged 15mins at 10kms p/h (would've done more but there was only 1 free treadmill... got there early but I was meeting someone there and I hopped off when she arrived), biked for 20mins, then jumped on the elliptical for 6mins (lol, would've been longer but I wore her out, she's not quite as fit as me) I'm glad I went though, had a great girly giggle which I haven't had for a really long time. TBH I probably went more to socialise than exercise :biggrinjester:

Hey, so long as you exercised also, it doesn't matter why you went. I wish I had a friend in town I could go to the gym with, that would be a lot of fun.

I actually don't really know anyone around here- the lady in the apartment block next door goes to the Wed night group gym sessions and my PT has had us partnered up on a couple of the 2 on 1 sessions on Sat. She was really excited last week when I told her that I'd started dancing and she was really keen to join us, so she was planning to come out... I asked her if she wanted to meet me at the gym instead. I just click with her really well- even though she is much older and so different, we manage to regress to giggly teenagers lol. I really appreciated it though, I don't really have any girlfriends up here, only Wade... but even though he's gay, it's just not the same thing! I love him to bits but I really miss my ladies! Must organise a weekend for them to come up and visit sometime.

Ahhh was SO tempted to jump on the scales this morning!! I just had to tell myself- weighing myself today is NOT going to affect what I see when I weigh myself tomorrow!! I just have this terrible horrible feeling that I completely stuffed up my week with Sundays bad eating. REALLY hope not!! I have all my fingers and toes crossed that I'll be 67. anything tomorrow! I actually didn't realise how slack I'd become with my exercise (outside my training sessions) I don't think I've been in to the gym to do cardio at ALL this month- which is really stupid of me since I have the endurace test tomorrow. I think that since getting home to do yoga never happens I might start doing cardio a few times a week after work instead. Oh saw my PT at the gym last night- our group sessions are officially continuing on, YAY!! Just changing to Monday nights instead of Thursdays. I'm considering changing weigh in day to Mon instead as of next week then, only because we are still going to get weighed in every month. Maybe it'll inspire me to behave on Sundays :biggrinjester:

Snack: Banana, prune and zucchini muffin
