Losing Weight in the Land of Chocolate and Cheese!

AOH MY GOD CATE they are NOT my shapely legs!!!! That's the model she used in the pics where I bought it! You and I have the same leg issues my dear. Tankles, cankles, call them what you like, that's what I've got. ;) good luck with the net! xxx (p.s. I did do a proper reply to your long post further up, just in case you miss it... xx)

Hi Joh, Now I feel like a total goose! :blush5: I can imagine you looking like that though. Is there a 'Learn to Love Your Legs" society or group we can join? It's a gorgeous skirt & the pendant is lovely too. You're brave enough to wear a skirt, which is a lot more than I can say for me. Even in this heat I'm still wearing long slacks! I did read your previous post. What can I say, except the same thing over & over. I am glad that there is a civilisation somewhere in the world that doesn't seem to be getting fatter & fatter & that encourages exercise & healthy living. Australia is fast becoming full of very obese humans & it's not good. You look so healthy sweetie & I'm sure you will be a slim & healthy mother with an equally healthy & well-cared for baby. Sending you lots of love, xoxo Cate

Hi Joh

How's the baby coming along? I'm back for a while. do'nt know if i will log in every day. I hope everything is great with you.

AHello to my dream team! :Angel_anim:

Sorry I've been so slack with everyone's diaries of late... I've been too bloody busy. I've got my German for four hours a day, trying to do my writing, I've had a variety of appointments (doctors, chiro, osteo, physio) every afternoon last week and will have them four afternoons this coming week too... plus furniture delivery, and just having to organise a bunch of hospital things... :willy_nilly: plus, like you're all telling me, I'm trying to not focus too much on my weight... so I haven't been incessantly hanging out on here...

Speaking of which, Dunc took your advice, cate, and he hid the scales. GAAAAAAAAAAH!!!!!!! :reddevil: :reddevil: He did it this morning, but Sunday is my official weigh day! GRRRRRRRR!!!!! He said 'You can just use your number from yesterday,' and when I continued to have a hissy fit about it, he said, hahahahahaa - "Go whinge to your fat forum". LOL. :nopity: I said that's not fair, because all you guys will be on his side anyway. He says he will magically allow the scales to appear every sunday for my weigh in, but that's it.

WEIGH DAY - 25 weeks pregnant and 93.2kg (though that was yesterday)

Andrea - HI! Nice to see you back here! Everything with the bub is going really well, even though my body is still trying to get used to it all Thanks for visiting!

Cate - Yes, we need a society. And YOU should be totally at one with your body now! That is an order! Accept and move on :) People like us, well, no matter how much weight we lose, we will never have gorgeous legs. Yeah, I still wear skirts because I love skirts... but I hate pictures of me in skirts. Weird. They can never ever expose my knees though! I love winter because I get to wear skirts with tights (cute woolly ones) underneath. I remember being my heaviest and sweltering through a 45 degree perth summer in jeans, because it was not possible to get any other pants that would be big enough and long enough for me. Terrible!

AHi Joh, just wanted to say you are a really gorgeous mother-to-be. Your pictures are so nice. I bet that from your back you don’t even look pregnant.

AHeya sweetie & Beanie

Sorry but...... :smilielol5: :smilielol5: :smilielol5: Sorry, still going...... :smilielol5: :smilielol5: I can just imagine your hissy fit, i bet you stamped your foot and everything :smilielol5: :smilielol5:
Again, sorry but i agree with Dunc. He was right to hid the scales. You are becoming obsessed hun.

As always, you look bloody radiant!!!!!

Can you post a picture from the front and back so i can decide what i think you are carrying :) I know it's a bit of a cheek, especially seeing as i have just taken the piss out of your hissy fit lol But i would love to see (blame Mady, her post made me think about it)

Lot's of love and hugs Xxx

Hi sweets & JB (jelly bean) Now saying LOL wouldn't convey the loud laugh I came out with when I read that Dunc had hidden the scales! I frightened my little dogs!

Hooray for Dunc!! :grouphug: (Although I object to his "fat forum." Are you saying we're fat Dunc?:smash: Brave man! :smilielol5:)

Now you can concentrate on everything else.

Gee, that skirt is so cute!

Furniture delivery this week? YAY!!!!!

How exciting for you sweetie. That will make you feel so good seeing your precious things around you. It will make your lovely flat be more like your home. It is such an exciting time in your life & I am thrilled to bits for you. Your darling Mum must be beside herself with excitement. Being a grandma is the best thing in the world!

What a busy mother-to-be you are. I don't know how you do it all. Hopefully after this week your schedule won't be quite so full. I don't remember that I did much at all during my first pregnancy, after I gave up work, except visit or shop or rearrange furniture.

Re: the legs...ok. I'm going to find a skirt and/or dress that covers my knees (just) & will wear it out in public in the next month. That's a promise! Maybe even a sleeveless dress....:blush5: I will do it!

:beating: Cate

AHello my lovely. I am sitting here in the internet shop with my eyes filled up with tears catching up on your posts because I have missed just SO MUCH :( And I feel absolutely awful. I can't believe how much more pregnanter you have got! You've got such a lovely bump and you look completely gorgeous. I specially loved that pic of you in the blue dress for the wedding :D

I first went awol when you went on your trip back to Oz. Of course it was hard for you to go back and you had all them emotions inside about it. It would have been hard for anyone going back after all that time, and it makes it harder that you are preggers, and I'm not only talking about the hormone side of it, just that everything is changing. It must be hard going back when things have changed.l Next time you go back you will have a cute little bubba for everyone to coo over :) Have your friends over there reproduced yet? I love those photos your sister took of you and Dunc, they were gorgeous.

If you don't feel like exercising you can always lie under the baby gym you've bought for beanie and give it a few swats, that way you can say you've been to the gym and not be lying haha. I had SPD when I was pregnant with charlie and it was awful. The pain was horrible and it was hard even walking for a few minutes and I couldn't do anything. I read stories on the net about it not going away after the birth and I pooed my pants, but luckily it did. I got iot slightly with Lily but not to the same extent. It will all be over soon my lovely x You have my sympathy though cos its horrible.

You made me laugh out loud when you said you did a fake cry to get Duncan to give you chocolate . Still laughing!!!!! I have known a couple ladies who feel completely neglected when they are pregnant and their man is out working all the time, I think a lot of men work extra hard once there is a baby on the way. I think its hardwired into them to a certain extent- mother nature gave men muscles to do the hard graft with and ladies boobies to feed the babies with, its his way of going out and making a killing so he can provide properly for you and the baby. He must be worried about all the things you need to buy for your lovely new home. I know it must be hard for you that he is so exhausted when he comes home tho. Maybe you could plan a couple of things a week in advance to make sure you get the time to connect properly x

Yay! So you got the bell necklace! Its so sweet! Love the new skirt as well.

How are you feeling now? xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Just 'bumping' this up so it doesn't disappear onto the 2nd page.

Dying to hear about your furniture arriving & how it all went. I know that you're one very busy woman but we miss you xoxo Cate

AHi team Beanie! Yes I've been AWOL but I think this will sadly be a common occurrence for a while - at least the next week. BLAH so busy... German is going GREAT though - I am loving my teacher and my class so much at the moment! And I can't wait until tomorrow, when iida and I will go to the rooftop thermal baths together in the afternoon while her hubby babysits. Special!

There isn't too much to say about my food... I haven't been great, but I haven't been too bad. I'm eating lots of veg and trying to up my protein a little so I'm not so famished all the time... I'm using skimmed milk all the time, having lots of veggie sticks with tzatziki dip, and handfuls of sunflower seeds with roasted nuts. I made THE MOST INCREDIBLE roasted veggie lasagne last night... stacks and stacks of veg, with a spinach ricotta mixture as the creamy sauce, and some parmesan on top. With salad. And then stewed apple with yoghurt for dessert. This is pretty typical of my food lately - lots of veg, can't stay away from desserts, but trying to keep them healthy. I admit, dunc made me waffles for breakfast today. And I ate about a bajillion of them. So I'm no freaking angel!

In Beanie news:
Had another scan, and Beanie is B.I.G. :D no wonder I've been so hungry! The day of my scan, Beanie should be weighing between 700 and 760grams, and Beanie was 920! ehehe. Go Beanie, Go! This also corroborates evidence to my theory that the due date is about a week out - I think Beanie is due a week earlier. I had a big test this week for gestational diabetes, which involved three hours of sitting around, having blood taken, drinking a sugary drink, peeing, drinking more, more blood being taken, etc. At the end of it all, my doctor said that it has been a very very long time since she has seen such beautiful insulin reactions. :) hehe. Go, pancreas, GO! So that's good. Beanie's furniture is here! It's not all entirely put together yet, but we are getting there. I'll put up some pics when it all happens. All of our furniture and things from Australia should be arriving in the next two weeks or so... can't wait for that!

WEIGH DAY - WEEK 26 - the scales have come out of hiding :) I'm 94.3kg today, +1.1kg from last week... when I 'should' be putting on 0.5 per week.
I talked to my gyn about how her mentioning of the magical '100kg' as a don't-go-over barrier has had me stressed, and no matter how much I try, I keep stacking on the pounds. She said that the last thing she wanted to do was to make me feel like I would have to go on a diet... she just doesn't want me to go eat cakes and chocolate and macdonalds every day, all day, and find myself at 120kg by the time Beanie comes around. I told her about my attempts at being healthy and my insane frustration at not being able to do any exercise, and she says she's happy with my progress.

Mady - thanks for dropping by and saying such lovely things! :) It made me all warm and fuzzy. :)
Kate - haha - YES I definitely stamped my foot! But your little comment there about me becoming obsessed... well, I read on your diary recently about how you've been weighing yourself every day, and how you feel like it has been keeping you motivated. So nyah nyah nyah. back at ya. ;) Just going to get my man to take more pics for you.
Cate - heheeee - I am pretty sure that I was the person that first referred to this as my fat forum, so you can only bash ME on the head for that one! hha. And yeah, it's not all our furniture that has come yet... can't WAIT for that! Have you exposed your skin yet, m'dear? You can do it! It was a huge barrier for my mum too, but now she realised when she wears this particular sleeveless dress, she always gets compliments for how lovely she looks. So she's learning too.
Rainbow - My love! HeLLOOO!!! Ah, bananaboat, don't worry - you have had SO much going on! I have missed you so much though. Thanks for saying so many lovely things, and for taking all that time to read my rantings! Thanks so much for your understanding and sympathy with my current pelvis issues! So glad to hear yours went away after you popped them out - everyone says they will. I have been to a chiro and he did wonders for me for two days... now I hurt again. So I think he will be a regular part of my weekly routine from now on!

AHello My lovely :)

Seeing as you don't look very pregnant from the front and back......I am gonna say BOY!!!

Aww sweetie, so so pleased that you are loving you german teacher and lessons :)

How come you didn't put a picture of Dunc's first effort at waffles lol :smilielol5:

And regarding your comment about the scales......Well, I am not as OCD as you are about it!!! and I'm not pregnant! so.........Nyah nyah nyah nyah nayh even louder back at ya babe :)

You are looking blooming stunning by the way and really happy. I'm so excited for you.....It has flown by, your little Beanie Boy will be here before you know it. Can't wait to see his room :)

I agree with Kate!!! (once again
smile.gif
) BOY!!!! You look radiant Joh & btw- we have matching thighs. SNAP! I thought beanie had to be big! My 1st was almost 9.5lbs. Great news that your gynie is really impressed with how you're going. Of course she is! Your arms & shoulders look really good sweetie & you definitely do not look at all fat. You look positively radiant! I laughed too when I saw the photo of Dunc's waffle successes. Te he. Was the waffle maker among your things from home? It must be fun unpacking things & seeing what's there. It will be even better when the rest arrive. So glad that you're enjoying German classes now! That's a lot less stress. It must be so much fun picking names. Will you pick a Swiss one? How exciting!!

Lots of love to you Joh & thanks for the update, xoxo Cate

PS I haven't bought a dress yet or bared my arms in public but am going shopping on Thursday & will look hard. I have committed us to going to the Launceston Cup (horse race) in 4 weeks time so will have to dress up. Maybe I'll frock up!

AHi Beanie and Mom.... and Dad...haha !! you look so healthy and happy!! I love seeing your bump pics!! So are we playing guess the bump!! haha...so I think you are actually carrying like a girl....but I have to agree.....for some reason beanie feels like a boy to me!! Maybe because thats all I know!! ;)

.....But sending hugs and love that you are enjoying your last few weeks full of excitement and contentment!! ENJOY!! :grouphug:

AHi my lovelies!
Just a quick one to say that all is well and good in the land of chocolate and (pasteurised) cheese. Running very low on time of late, so sadly this diary has slipped to the way-side. I imagine that I will no doubt be back in full swing post-beanie, when I need to get some of this 'storage' off. ;) In the meantime, rest assured that I will keep you updated if anything of interest happens!
Much love to you all xxx

Hi gorgeous! WOW!! I see a very happy mum-to-be & a beautiful big baby there. You don't look like you have any fat, except for baby. I mean it. You look absolutely GORGEOUS!!!! Of course we want to see your latest picture!! AS IF WE WOULDN'T!! Sending you lots of love & a very careful hug(so as not to squash beanie),
