Looking to lose an extra human I apparently picked up along the way

From the videos, are the shirts a little on the baggy side? Maybe time to look into something more fitted to show off the guns (the arm kind, not the breast kind!)?

You did well to avoid hitting on the waitress with your mom there, but maybe you go back in a few days?

Easy for me to say, of course, being married and 2500 miles away. If I was in your shoes, I'd be happy with a pleasant good-bye on the way out the door!

This is what I saw for hack squats, complete with how I feel I look when lifting. Lucky for me I don't have mirrors in my home gym.

LJ,

You know there's some artist who is like: "alright he's in the middle of his rep, I gotta put an expression on this guy's face like he's really straining. Okay facial expressions aren't my strong suit, but I think I nailed it this time!"

178 again this morning, 17.7% on the BF% monitor, 32 waist measurement.

Cardio day. My crazy schedule last week and St. Patrick's day has caused the weekend to get here very rapidly this week. I can't believe it's already Thursday. Friend in town this week (again, if people tend to come to Phoenix once a year, it's usually in March), and he's gonna give me a call today and we'll try and meet up either today or tomorrow. He's here working so he's been busy the last few days, but we'll catch up at some point.

Ha - funny you mention that, I wasn't even looking at his face, just the muscles. I think he was inspired by Phil Dunphy from Modern Family.

Glad your dinner went so well. That sandwich sounds very tasty! Not really sure on the whole dating thing. I'm sure you'll find what you're looking for, probably when you're not even looking. :)

Never hit on the waitress! If she´s even remotely goodlooking she´ll be sick of clients mistaking her professional friendliness for something else and handling her "no, thank you" badly. Have fun with your out-of-town-friend :)

This is correct. I have a rule: "don't hit on the help." You're a customer and they have to be nice to you and interact with you. It's rude to take advantage of that.

I'm glad you're feeling better even when you are feeling poopy.
If you have a another date in 4-5 years you'll be doing better than me in the dating department! Go you! ;)

So that time I drunkenly asked the bartender at Coyote Ugly to marry me - she said no out of professionalism! I feel better now. She bought me a shot, so I felt better then, too.

178.5 this morning, 18.3% on the Body Fat and 32.0 waist. Could be far worse as an out of town work friend called unexpectedly and beers were consumed last night. I'm thinking by Sunday morning my work social obligations will be over for the spring and I can finally detox. As long as I behave myself during the day until then, damage should be minimal.

Lifting today.

Have a charity event I'm going to tonight and in some ways it kinda signals the end of my seemingly never ending string of social functions this last two weeks. Happy to be done with it all as it really is draining to have to do so much, but a little sad that the last of my out of town friends will be leaving soon.

It sounds like you have lots of out of town friends V. The fact that you have so many friends says a lot about you. Re. your job- are there not many women that you mix with when you do have these work-related functions/conferences? Having a social life is draining, but well worth it, except maybe when we get on the scales.

Usually there are almost none. The percentage of people who work in my industry who are male is probably close to 90%. Just one of those things.

Tonight will probably be different, but it's not gonna be a very good environment for that sort of thing I don't think. It wasn't last year.

I love the social events to an extent, I just wish it wasn't an entire year's worth of events crammed into three weeks in March. :)

Pity! :(
There must be a better way of finding someone than this awful dating system. Are there not clubs, like Apex, Lions, Rotary etc. where you live, where you get together with lots of people & do community work & get to meet other people & expand your friendship circle. Ha- just had a thought. Look up book clubs. Almost all the members would be women. No....they'd all be too old......thinking.........there has to be a better way, without all the anxiety. It almost always was the work-place that couples met when I was younger. I met G on my 1st day of work. We didn't date until 8 months later. It's so much better to get to know someone well before you even think about going out with them. Other than basketball is there another interest that you have that is not almost exclusively male-oriented? Another question- How do waitresses ever get to go out, if no-one asks them? Poor waitresses!

You are the exact opposite of me. I cringe when I need to be in a social situation like that. Mingling with others just isn't my thing. I'm a pretty big loner and prefer just being at home. Happy things are settling down for you. Now you'll be able to refocus on you and what you need to do.

You know what it's time for again..........................
yes it's the Australian call.................................................
......Cooeee! Hope things are OK with you, V!

Very, very rough week, but not really diet (at least post Saturday which wasn't good) or weight wise. The whys and wherefores I'd just rather not go into here. Sorry.

175.5 this morning. Trending down. Video:

Will try and update regularly (daily if I can), but not sure how well I'm going to be able to swing that. Free time will be at a premium for a while.

Sorry to hear you´re having a hard time, I hope it gets easier soon and that the lack of free time means something interesting (rather than something unpleasant) is happening.

Sorry to hear you had a rough week. Glad to see the diet has not suffered though.
