Looking to lose an extra human I apparently picked up along the way

197.5 this morning. Comparison pic time. 1st pic is July 1, 2012 (375 pounds) vs March 1, 2014 (194.5 pounds). I'm noticing a subtle difference between these two:

2nd pic has more body involved and is a comparison from December 2, 2012 (310.5 pounds) vs March 1, 2014. It's pretty hard to tell much of a difference between these two:

Hopefully as time goes on we'll be able to see more of a physical change than what we see here.

Such a comedian! If it wasn't for the face and setting no one would think those are the same person. There's defintley more body in the FIRST pic.

Dang, you are such a handsome guy!!!! Plus you look about 10 years younger now. Congrats Mr. Vee!

You are doing awesome as usual! Great pic, and seriously huge change. Almost don't believe it's the same person in both pics!

195.5 today.

Thanks for all the kind words guys. Ewan McGregor? Well we're both Scottish and the same age (I'm about 5 months younger). He has blue eyes though.

Have friends coming into town tomorrow whom I haven't seen since last March (I was between 275 and 280 then). They know I've been losing weight (they complemented me last March on my successful work at that point), but I wonder how they will react.

So it's pretty clear I'm insane. Played basketball at the gym and played a little too long (played about 85 minutes). So when I got home, it was a little late to make dinner, so I got cleaned up and had dinner at the local restaurant bar. Lingered a bit too long and my planned two beers became four beers.

So when I left it was around 8 pm, and my gym was still open for another two hours. So I went back and played more basketball to burn off the extra beers. For the first half hour my jump shot wasn't quite as straight as normal, but the sweating eventually sobered me up and I played better the second half hour.

I do wonder how I would explain these sorts of things on my online dating profile: "Likes long walks on the beach. Plays drunken basketball over an obsessive concern about calorie consumption. Leo."

I don't think your friends will recognize you, at least not at first. Good job with the extra workout! But you are nuts. LOL.

194 this morning. I believe that's my new low by half a pound.

Lately been trying to increase the protein in my diet in an attempt to add or at least preserve muscle mass. My pet theory is that when people say someone looks "too skinny" what they're seeing is someone who has lost too much muscle mass relative to fat loss and they look a little unbalanced. Trying to avoid that.

That's a lot of basketball, and drunk too! Wow!! Great job on the new low! I wish I got to say that anytime in the near future, but I'm afraid it will be a while yet!

193.5 this morning. And if the 194 wasn't a new low, this one definitely is. For the last 30 days, the linear slope comes out to about 1.3 pounds lost a week.

Haven't done one of these in a while, so here's the chart with the model weights and the actual weights graphed:

The post Christmas plateau is there and I'm still about a pound behind the model. The model no longer looks as dead on as it looked for a very long period of time as the current trend of it being too low is matched by about an eight month trend from last year of it being a bit too high.

What jumps out at me is that your last major blip above the curve was the same time last year. Some seasonal change in your body or habits perhaps?
