Looking to lose an extra human I apparently picked up along the way

Whatever your BP is exercise and losing weight is what you need so it should be improving.
It should be, it just doesn't seem to be. But then those store BP monitors could be nonsense. One of them had a body fat thing where you put your hands on sensors, and it said 28.9% body fat which I'm pretty sure is nonsense, so...

In any event, I can get my heart rate up into the high 160s without feeling any discomfort (other than being tired). It seems to be taking longer to get to that point, and drops back down much quicker. All of which are good things. It's just the blood pressure that is weird.

I've decided not to add salt to anything this week and see how that goes.

Wow! Great drop!! I have no idea what any of those blood pressure numbers mean but if they aren't where they should be I hope with your continued weight loss they will get where they should be!

My BP cuff fit now! I had an average of 134/86 (n=4) with a HR of 91bpm. I had had a high salt meal and lots of strong tea before these measurements and I will try to remember to measure in the morning and work up an average over time.

Either way we are both in the pre-hypertension/borderline range. It means we should work on things, but it isn't anything a Dr. would medicate for. My monitor was under $20 if you wanted to track it regularly. They make a cheap wrist monitor as well which would make arm circumference a non-issue (which your weightloss already has I'm sure).

263 to start things off on a Monday.

Bought a new pair of jeans yesterday and have another pair coming tomorrow. My lower half now seems to be shrinking quicker than my upper half. This is good, it needs to. With my waist now at 43.8, I'm less than 10 inches away from a 34 inch waist. Considering I started at around a 58 inch waist, I think that's progress.

Hey you, you are doing well! Those BP machines don't seem to be quite accurate.
Yay for the new jeans! My lower half always shrinks more than my upper half. Lol.

Keep up the good work!

Congrats on the new smaller jeans!! 43.8 waist is HUGE progress!

Unfortunately I don't have time to check in everyday like I used to in winter but when I do check in, you just seem to lose buckets of weight. Great going Mr Vee!

Okay, I'm back. Thanks for checkin' in on me guys.

There were no problems, the "MrVee Self Improvement Plan" continues apace. This morning's weigh-in was 262.5 and the model said 262.6 so all is good. Also my inaccurate body fat monitor thing gave me my lowest body fat reading ever today. I'd be more excited if I had the slightest amount of confidence in the device.

Got my teeth whitened on Wednesday and that was fine except every hour or so out of the blue I would feel the most intense tooth pain in my life for 10 seconds and then it would go away, even after I left the dentist's office. Apparently this happens. Was fine the next day.

Continued to make all of my personal training appointments, I remain at a 100% attendance rate for almost 10 months now (the only times I haven't gone three times a week is when I've been out of town).

As usual, the problems I've had rest squarely in the large empty space between my two ears. Getting a little unproductive with the thoughts for the last week or so and when that happens, it affects me a little more than I would like. I really need to work on my problems with patience. I also need to get out and socialize a little more to avoid getting stir crazy. Must not wallow when my goofy body chemistry goes into "goth" mode.

The good news: during my absence an HTML help site was able to help me with the code for this nifty little webpage. Watch the pounds fly off me in a real time update of my current model weight:

It's weird, it's like I can suddenly feel the evil fat-spirits leaving my body as I watch my weight tick down...

Thanks again for checking in and after my basketball today I'll try and catch up on some diaries.

Hey MrVee, amazing how in-sync your results are with the model!! That's soo cool - can't believe you have stuck with the personal training 100% - it is paying off!
I have been thinking about teeth whitening too - maybe next year.

I just checked out that link you sent...I was like shit - I put on weight - I don't know why the minute I saw the number i am like: gosh how does it do it? does the website see me & weighs me trhough the screen? Lol - I was in the 260s way too long - for a second I forgot my current weight.

OMG you are almosst at your next milestone. You are so amazing. lol @ your lack of confidence in the device haha

261.5 on Sunday morning. It's a new low. The 250s are within sight.

Going to the parents house across town for a BBQ/pool party (high of 97 degrees today). Have been busy with work so haven't seen them in a while. Should be some fun. Not really worried about the food selection at this point. I've got a pretty good handle of how much I should eat now, so as long as I don't snack I'll be in the ballpark of what I need to eat.

No planned exercise today, though I'll probably get a little in the pool and chasing my parents' dog around. Probably will go with them on their walk after the sun goes down and it cools off a little. Back to the serious stuff tomorrow, though the three days off from the rigors of personal training was quite helpful.

That webpage is pretty nifty. You'll be in the 250's before you know it! Oh, and I hope you're enjoying that 97 degrees. Keep cool! :D Sorry, couldn't resist... lol.

I hear this. I just got myself out of a hermit phase where I basically saw no one socially for three weeks. After having spent some fun time with people over the weekend, I feel more energized and much better off.

MrVee, you are such a nerd! *Is proud

I love the website. Also sorry you've been feeling goth lately. The black lipstick will really set off those whitened teeth though. :biggrinjester:

I went to an outside shindig myself today. It's good to socialize and this was my first social outing since December 8, 2012.
