Looking to lose an extra human I apparently picked up along the way

205 yesterday, 206 this morning.

Anyhow, just popping in to share a first for you guys. I've posted pictures before, but this time I have a video. I'm not in the video (my voice is), but it's a short video of the view from the top peak on the trail I like to hike. Unfortunately it was not a clear day yesterday, but you'll get the idea anyway:

Enjoy!

Wow! You have done an amazing job. Your dedication to losing weight and to writing about it for a year now is very impressive. And you do look GREAT! Don't you dare avoid mirrors now :)

206 this morning, back from health club.

Need to get going on my XMas shopping or else it's lumps of coal for everyone...

207 this morning as I've hit a bit of a plateau. If this continues, left arm amputation remains an option on the table. I don't know how much it weighs, but it's got to be a lot. The arm I mean, not the table. Though I suppose the table would weigh quite a bit too.

Drastic measures Mr Vee, very drastic indeed, but fyi-
"How much does the average human arm weigh?
The average human arm weight about 5% of a person's total body weight. The exact amount will also depend upon how much fat a person has in their arm. Some people have more fat in their arms than others."
Plateau Schmateau! Your plateaus are not like most people's. Yours are just that. A minor stall along a very determined & steady path! Thanks for the compliment re my crazy hat! I am so not a dress up/hat person, but it was fun to get into the spirit of the day! Cheers, Cate.

206 this morning, which means I did not decide to lose 10 pounds the easy way.

I'm thinking tomorrow might be a new low. Just a hunch. Off to go work out.

204 this morning. And that's a new low.

Tuesday will be my last weigh-in before I head out of town and away from the ol' Health-O-Meter. I was thinking what I might do if I have a 201 weigh-in from now until then, whether I'd go through the same moves as when I was gunning for 299. I probably would, because I'm out my mind like that.

I'm also now in size 36 jeans, waist is probably around 37 inches though I've found it's kind of difficult to measure accurately.

Looking through my thread at the above link and saw this benchmark test around New Year's:

Crack 300 in the morning: January 5. - January 2 was 299.75.
100 pounds lost: March 24. - March 16 was 274.
Weight below 250: June 20. - June 13 was 249.
One year on program (July 1): 246.8, 128.2 pounds lost in the year. - July 1 was 245, 130 pounds lost total.
Birthday weight: 235. - Was 232.5 on August 17.
Under 25% Body fat (by model): December 23. - This is one is hard because there's no real easy accurate way to measure and the model I was using before wasn't accurate on this. My little handheld thing says 25.8% right now.

Here's the graph with the current model, the actual weights, and what the model predicted on New Year's Eve last year:

So I've overachieved a bit, and the old model seemed to have more of a flattening effect than what actually happened.

Wow! Great job MrVee! You really hit your goals! Seems I won't hit a single goal this year, but maybe next year I will :) You really are an inspiration!

Mr Vee, you have been so consistent & if there was an award in this forum for that, it would be yours. Bloody awesome! Well done! Played golf again today & played better than the other day. I hit my best drive ever & got a nearest the pin. Happy with that, although a little consistency in my golf would be good. I love it though & must play more so that I can get better. Cheers, Cate

208.5 this morning as the dreaded plateau continues. Left arm still not amputated though. I think it would probably put a damper on the holiday festivities.

Anyway, I think I'm going to try out the pool at my club today. For the last week or so, my left hip has been acting up a little on impact exercises (jogging, basketball, etc.) and my legs are also quite weary at the moment. As long as I have trunks on, I suppose I won't look too bad and I'll be in the water most of the time.

I leave for New Mexico tomorrow morning and so my normal schedule will be thrown out of whack for a week, so I should probably get one last workout in before I leave. The last time I flew was early June, and back then I marveled at how much easier the flying experience was at my new weight. That weight was around 253 pounds. So I'm really going to fit in the seats much better. It's only an hour flight with no connectors so this is light traveling in any case.

Shot an 88 on the golf course yesterday (44 and 44). Drove the ball better than I probably ever have, but my short game still leaves a lot to be desired.

Thanks Cate.

Out of town so no scale so no weigh-ins. Saw some relatives for the first time in a while, and they were shocked at my current size.

Happy holidays to all!

I would expect nothing less than shock with how much weight you have lost, good for you! Just wait until you reach your goal and they see you again :)

Great job Mr. Vee you are such a inspiration. I have a question for you did you take any vitamins or supplements at all? Reason being I am looking for something to give me that extra push to get me motivated and excited to go to the gym everyday.

Good to hear about the improved golf swing. It amazes me, along with the airline seats, the things we begin to take as a normal condition eventhough they should not be, until we change and feel the improvement. Enjoy the traveling!
