Lilly's journey...this time it will happen!

That's such a great thing that you have your eating already planned out. It really helps a lot. Temptation is really high when you go out with others so it's good to have a plan! At least you'll be prepared.

Congrats on the exercise for the day and the entire week!

Yep, I have to have a plan or things just get too tempting!

I had a rest day on Saturday and went for a 30 minute walk today. Will do a harder workout again tomorrow. So far so good. I have not lost vast amounts of weight so far...however this is a long term thing, so I'm not so worried about quick weight loss, rather setting up good habits is far more important.

I had a lovely weekend with two of my friends, we had a girls weekend, and spent hours on Saturday shopping. I don't think I've laughed so hard for a long time. It was a little depressing shopping with them though as they are both slim and I feel like a real fatty shopping with them...ok well...that won't be forever!

Yeah I know how you feel. That's why I avoided the mall. I could never buy pants or skirts in the mall because of my thighs and butt. So it was never a fun thing for me. So one of my goals is to be able to buy pants in any store in the mall! I still have some weight to go before I can do that, but I can't wait until I can!

Yep I have a stack of clothes that I don't fit any more just waiting for me in my closet...last time I lost heaps of weight going shopping was one of the best things, being able to fit all the clothes that looked great on the hangers was a total bonus....why oh why did I gain it all back.

Anyway exercise for an hour today, didn't really mean to go that long, but once
I started on my circuit I just kept going.

We go to Sydney tomorrow for a few days, but will fit in my exercise before we go, and am planning to make good choices eating wise. Will do a lot of walking over there to make up for the fact that I won't be on my machines.

Was terrible at getting my calories in today, ate about 900 calories that means I restricted over 2000 calories...not a healthy habit to get into I know.

This week is going to be really busy, what with our trip to Sydney and then on the weekend I am a bridesmaid for one of my friends...hopefully after that things will settle down again.

I too have any amazing amount of clothing in my closet that will oneday fit me again. :D

I loved shopping after I loss weight too. It's like really... it fits? No way! Lol.

Have a great day!

Yep it is a total novelty going clothes shopping and having them fit...or even be too big:willy_nilly:

Oh well, managed to get 50 minutes of my circuit in this morning, so feeling good for the plane...

Will be away for a few days, but will post and update points for team 2 when I get back...:waving:

Well quick update...had a lovely time in Sydney, but the best part is I stuck to my eating plan, and fitted in two walks of an hour and a half each. I also got home at about 8pm and got on my bike for 20 minutes of high intensity....am very proud of myself!

Great job. you're really kickin' butt and taking names with this challege. boy am I glad you're on my team not the opposing one! :D

O.K, life gets back to normal tomorrow....What with going to Sydney and then being a bridesmaid yesterday it has been a very hectic (but good) week. Eating and exercise has been great. Have not been hungry today, actually have not eaten as yet and it is 7.30pm....will have dinner though. Not eating made this evenings exercise quite hard and I really appreciate the bodies need for fuel...I managed to do 40 minutes circuit but it was quite an effort. I have started integrating some going backwards into my elliptical training routine....will go 2 minutes backwards and then 3 forwards...boy does it work the calves and thighs!

O.k off to check in and record my exercise today...then will have dinner

HEY! Good job with keeping on plan! :) I'm pretty sure if I was out vacationing and then a bridesmaid, I would have steered off track. Haha. I'm weak!

Is there a difference on your muscles if you go forwards or backwards on the elliptical? I just usually start moving and whatever way the machine goes, I go. I didn't think it made a difference? If it does, please let me know! Haha. I don't want to be doing the wrong thing. THANKS!! :)

O.K...I am feeling slightly defeated at the moment...have racked up about 6 hours exercise this week, and have been really good with the eating...but got on the scale today expecting a biggish loss and low and behold nothing! No loss at all:toetap05: I've got to let this make me work harder....but boy it amazes me when I feel defeated just how much my self esteem slumps...I even feel fatter when only yesterday I was feeling great:piggy:

O.k got to stop having a mope...will got down and do some more exercise...maybe I need to check out someone else's eating plan and try that.

hey lilly :)

don't worry about the scale not moving this week. you're working really hard and it will show. maybe you're just retaining some water. and maybe you need few days rest. it happened to people that they were working really really hard and no loss...then they had re-feed days or rested for few days and the weight was melting away. these things happen. you just have to be prepared for them :)

I once weighed 140 pounds for three months... It was like I was just stuck, even though I was dieting and exercising my butt off.

Then oneday I stepped on the scale, and a big 132 flashed up... I was like uhhh ok. Lol.

My point is- we all hit those irritating plateaus. Don't let it get ya down. Keep going!

Ok...yesterday I worked out for 40 minutes 20 on my elliptical and 20min on my bike. Today I did 30 min on my bike on a hill programme...I had intended to do a half hour of strength tonight, but life got in the way...oh well.

Yesterday I had 1100 cal and that made a restriction of 1700, today I had 1400cal and a restriction of 1300. I am trying to eat a heap more fruit, even though I have a good variety already I am trying to make fruit the majority of my diet up until dinner time.

Still no more weight loss...but will keep on trucking~!

The 'zone'

Hee hee, I am sitting here extremely proud of myself. Last time I lost weight...about 30lbs the real key was my workouts, I would add a substantial amount of stair running and skipping to my workout along with pilates, swiss ball, weights...the mixture of exercises seemed to be the key for me. Now back then I got to the point where I could skip for 30min and do about 3 sets of stair running which worked out to be just under 400 steps. I have been thinking about starting up that routine again, but it seemed so daunting that I've been putting it off...when I did try to add a bit of skipping into my cardio it was incredibly hard.

Well today I decided I needed to at least try to do this workout again and woohoo I did really well, skipped for about 8mins and did two sets of stair running which is 260 steps. I worked out in total for about 50 minutes...
*Arm weights and stepper
*Pilates (focus on legs)
*1 set of stair running
*Swiss ball focus on abs
* 8 min skipping
*Swiss ball focus on upper body
*1 set of stair running

So proud...I may not have lost any weight, but I think I've found the 'zone' when I'm skipping and that is a huge breakthrough for me!

Alteredimage...thanks for all your support it is greatly appreciated!
