Just was a shocker last night, because while you were gone, I wrote you lol thinking you were going to come back lol such a nut I am. but I did miss you quite a bit. lol I really did. lol

I also wrote a couple other peeps who disappeared, than suddenly I disappeared and than when I came back.. I found I didnt remember my password, but things have changed so much in my life, it was time to move away from the old Natalie and work on the new one, learning that I have problems that cant be solved overnight, but a lifetime, is ..ugh ..but its true ... everyone goes through things like that ......

things have changed so much in my life, it was time to move away from the old Natalie and work on the new one, learning that I have problems that cant be solved overnight, but a lifetime, is ..ugh ..but its true ... everyone goes through things like that ......

Hey Nat-Jo; It seems like everyone re-creates themselves in life, you're right. And you're darn tooting right, we all go through accepting some things we can't change in life. My struggle with over-eating and certain ailments will be life long too :)

I've been keeping busy re-locating for a job promotion and all that entails, sell house, buy house, deal with real estate agents, lawyers, mortgage brokers, contractors, etc. etc. And then learning my new job which is so-so. I'm a full fledged bureaucrat now. hehehe I work on policy for social programs for the Aboriginal people of Canada. Some days feels like you're feeding the machine and other days feels like you're actually contributing. :hurray:

I went to Vegas with a girlfriend last spring and that was a highlight in 2009. What a blast. I plan to travel much more but also saving for my sons' education.

The scale was not kind today ... I'm at the same weight I was a week ago. But then I know the gym and lifting weights has meant I add a little muscle to replace that fat I must be losing based on my diet. Anyhoo, we're in this for the long haul, not a measly week. :gnorsi: Just got back from an excellent workout at the gym (30 on elliptical trainer, 112 sit-ups, 3 sets of 15 for prolly 8 diff upper body and leg with the weights.

Thanks Risty. You're right, of course. Today I did half hour elliptical trainer and then 1/2 hour hill climbing, followed by a three mile walk with my mother. I'm exhausted and going to lay in front of the telly now. LOL

Eating on plan, groceries bought for a week of healthy eating.

I really need to start planning and making sure I have things at home, and healthy things, so that I'm not tempted to go out and eat. However, my husband and I have cut back a lot on our eating out, so it's already an improvement.

Anyone who feels badly, you are ONE workout away from getting back on track. I was thinking while at the gym, the trick for me is to pack that bag and get ass to gym!! The rest takes care of itself once I'm there.

That's exactly how I feel. Once I'm there it's a good time (so to speak). The hardest part is just getting out the door. I've adopted Nike's slogan lately, "just do it."

It's very chalenging to mothers of young children to take time for exercise and it takes a tremendous amount of mental energy. You will suceed and there's a time and a place for everyone I believe.

I'm amazed by all you people who put in the work and have kids. I can't accomplish ANYTHING when my nieces or nephews are over.

Hello Darling Natsky; hey that's cool to journal about transformation. I love it. I write in an Overeater's Anonymous workbook and it basically walks a person through the 12 steps. Admitted we are powerless over compulsive overeating, came to believe a Higher Power can restore us to sanity, etc. etc.
I'm not a staunch 12 stepper by any means, I believe there are many roads to recovery. But I like how the book makes me think and write.

Today was good, ate on plan, worked out hard at the gym. I think it's time to start jogging again. And it was confirmed by Risty's comment in her diary to switch things up, that's it! I'm going on the treadmill tomorrow. Oh my lungs! hehehe

I have a date tomorrow night and meeting a friend Friday night and will have to keep my suppers to chicken salads with dressing on the side. Luckily, I live in a super dooper health conscious city where most menus have real healthy food. Hey, but I'm getting a life now that my mom is going home. :party: :party: LOL
 
have fun on your date! It's nice that your town caters to healthy people. There are pockets here but it's hard to find and I love eating out so healthy options would be great!
Good luck with the treadmill! I love it but working out out side is the best and I can't wait for spring!!

I'm glad my comment may have helped your decision to change things up a bit. The body does get used to exercise, they say to not do the same thing for more than 6 weeks. I think that's why I'm doing P90X, they have 3 weeks and then a week break, and then the next 3 weeks is something different, then a week break, then 2 weeks (of what the first 3 weeks were), then 2 weeks (of what the 2nd 3 weeks were) and then you can do the rest week. The rest weeks are basically not weight lifting it's more like cardio, yoga, things like that. I know it probably sounds confusing, but basically it changes it up is what I'm trying to say, lol.

I thought about doing the 12 step program, but I was never much into .. I dont know, just didnt seem to suit me. I do think I overeat because of an addiction to food, and an overwhelming problem with finding what to do daily sometimes, like boredom, but thats only been the past two days ...

but I know I can eat out of stress and saddness. but I am learning how to control it. I dont reach for the fridge when I am stressed, its sad, I hassle my man, Derek to come and talk with me. I like to keep a line of communication open, but I make sure he goes to karate, except for day, I am in a mood... but for the most part I have a wonderful relationship, because instead of eating and not talking, I started talking to different people about issues ...

I feel good ...

And I am happy you have a date! Congrats. Dates can be fun, and than there are dates you hope would end quickly. I hope yours turns out fun!
And about the health food places, sweet deal. The only restaurants here diet for the people who want to gain poundage. So I stay away from them now .. lol

Good day, ate on plan, jogged on the treadmill for 20 minutes and fast walked another 15minutes. Ate salmon, brown rice and a salad for supper. Feels good :)

Not much to say tonight. Oh. One of my best girlfriends emailed today to say she's in Montreal and might stop over in Ottawa tomorrow ... man, I hope she does, that would be great. And I'm looking forward to Friday when I meet another friend for supper and drinks. He's in theatre and going to connect me to the scene here in Ottawa. So that's all good.
