Hello everyone. How are all the healthy wonderful people of WLF? I'm hoping to lose 25 pounds by summer time. 5 pounds/month, thereabouts, by reducing calories with portion control and healthy food choices and exercise ... the usual. I joined a gym and first day is tomorrow.

It will be hard so I'm going to use fitday.com and I bought a couple motivational books. But posting and reading here will help also. Good luck everyone and I look forward to connecting and re-connecting with those of you I knew on here before :)

Hope you are doing well!! This forum always helps so much but with an 8 month old I have no time to post!!! but you will succeed where I have failed for sure! :p

Hey Mishi !! I'm so glad you are on here right now also. I know, we get busy in our lives, and can't always be posting. 8 months old, wow! I remember you were pregnant first time I was on here. It's very chalenging to mothers of young children to take time for exercise and it takes a tremendous amount of mental energy. You will suceed and there's a time and a place for everyone I believe.

Meanwhile, here I am again trying to lose 25 pounds. LOL :smilielol5:

Today was a good day. I ate on plan, stayed at 1675 calories, and went to the gym after work. I'm amazed at how I feel stronger right away after my first workout. Anyone who feels badly, you are ONE workout away from getting back on track. I was thinking while at the gym, the trick for me is to pack that bag and get ass to gym!! The rest takes care of itself once I'm there.

Losing 5 pounds a month is totally doable! I'm sure you can do 25 pounds by summer! I'm glad that someone from "the good 'ol days" is back with me! lol... At first I was kinda happy that none of the same people were on, so that they couldn't see my failure and shame! But, then deep down I realized that they wouldn't care and would help me through it... but they're all gone! lol So yay! You're back :D
 
Thanks Risty and YAY to the good ol' days.

Had a couple good days yesterday and today, but didn't make it to the gym because I had a stomach flu. Still ate healthy though and bags packed for Monday after work :)
 
Hey Alta88 ! Thanks for the welcome back. I'm feeling 100% today thank goodness. I'm going to pop into your diary to see how you've been.

Stayed on my eating plan, even with a little desert today, and hit the gym after work. Did my 30 minutes of elliptical trainer, sit-ups, and the free weights for upper body.

I always use fitday.com and find it so helpful to be completely mindful of what I'm eating.
 
Helloo!! Happy Tuesday! I don't have a lot of time to pop into diaries sigh but of course had to say hello! I am sorry you were sick but glad you are feeling better! I am impressed you ate on plan. I have a hard time when I am sick lol but I guess the stomach flu would stop me a little ;) lol
Fitday was really helpful for me too but darn it!! so time consuming! lol story of my life ;) I hope you have a good week and congrats on that ticker moving down a notch :D
 
Hi Mishi and Risty, thanks for dropping by. I ate on plan today but took a rest day from exercise. Not much to say tonight about me ... very boring life. LOL
 
Another day of eating within my caloric range (maybe 50 over). For exercise my mother and I toured the Parliament buildings and the Museum of Civilization for a total of four hours which, according to fitday.com, is almost 500 calories worth. We were gone from the house from 12:00 pm to 6:00 pm but part of that was sitting on the bus and sitting down to lunch. Needless to say, I'm exhausted tonight, feet up and ready to watch Criminal Minds. I wanted to head to the gym today, but I'm tired and think I've expended enough energy.

Today I noticed my jeans aren't uncomfortably tight. They just fit nice. Progress ...
 
Yay progress!! Kudos to you for not killing yourself with the gym. 6 hours away from the house and 4 hours of touring sound tiring!! Hope you have a relaxing night!

Today was good, ate within caloric range 1700. And took my mom to another museum where we ambled for three hours. My goodness! I'm really done on touring now.

nice to see you back, obviously been back for a while. I am happy to see you... thanks for stopping into my diary.

Nice to see you back ...will keep checking your diary for new posts and parliemnt sounds like fun!! lots of walking, my favorite past time, but my goal is running too ... maybe another forty pounds and more muscle.. right now I would kill my back if I tried lol

Today was good. Ate on plan, went for a couple walks. No gym cuz mom's still here and I'm gone 9 hours in the day for work as it is. Gotta keep the mommy person happy. lol
