Thanks you guys. It was a really fun night. The spa, then supper, then clubbing. The third club stuck, a little Irish pub called D'Arcy McGee's. Well all that to say, I didn't stay on my eating plan at all yesterday OR go to the gym.

Three glasses of wine, three beer, and a shooter somewhere along the line ... LOL So um. Yah. Over caloric limit!

Today after a soak in the tub, I'm heading right back to bed to sleep this headache off with some Advil. hahaha

I'll check in later to report food/exercise ... zzzzzzz ....

Good morning WLF and friends. Well, Friday and Saturday were a little goofy for me on account of socializing with old and new friends, but it was all worth it. I made a new friend at a policy course I took a week ago and last night we went to an excellent chinese restaurant in Ottawa and then a movie. I had popcorn which is a lot of calories. He and I are going to audition for a play week after next.

A co-worker told me she's joining a non-competative co-ed volleyball team for people aged 25-45. I want to build my confidence in team sports but I haven't played since elementary school and I think it'd be too challenging for me. I think theatre is enough.

I only made it to the gym 3Xs last week but starting the week off right, by heading to the gym today. My jeans are fitting a little more loosely, I've had some excellent sleep yesterday and last night, so I'm getting on the treadmill and lifting weights today! Then I'm heading to the grocery store to pick up fruit, veggies, soy milk and some chicken.

Have a healthy day everyone.

Excellent food choices and workout today at the gym. I did the treadmill for 30 minutes, sit-ups and free weights for the upper body.

I'm having chinese food leftovers for supper ... YUM.
Have a great night all.

Awesome job on the food and exercise!

Chinese food... that's asking for trouble! lol At least for me that's the truth, lol.

Well, nothing deep fried thank god, but the sauces were prolly high in fat.

The scale was downright rude to me this morning and I was tired and had stomach upset all day. I didn't go to the gym after work and once I got home, I ate a chocolate bar, bag of chips and ate fries for supper. WTF???!!! Can you say D-E-R-A-I-L-E-D !!

Sigh. Tomorrow is another day...

I love your candor!! Too funny about the fries for dinner!! I love fries!! At least you are honest!!

You had a fun weekend!! Good for you! I hope you have a good week.

Thanks MJ. Emotionally, it's been a tough week. I didn't eat enough a couple days this week so by 4 pm I was an emotional MESS and felt incapable of doing anything other than going straight home. Hypoglycemia...need protein throughout the day, much like a diabetic. So I'm reminded to take eating enough seriously. I'm back on track yesterday and today so going to the gym tonight. Wow, does self-care have to be so friggen' hard ??? lol

Okay good day today. I had a killer workout at the gym last night and today I ate on plan desite a goodbye luncheon and eating out for supper. I ordered tofu cashew and vegetable stir fry and the portion was sensible.

Working out at the gym tomorrow. The scale is still being a real asshole, but what can you do? A friend asked if I'd go to Vegas with her first week of May so now I have extra reason to get that scale needle to MOVE. lol

I just gave myself a reality check. I've only been at this for three weeks. In 12 weeks I'm going to Vegas so I've made a new goal for myself. I'm going to reach a weight of150 pounds by then. I look and feel pretty darn good at that weight, although I'm determined to get to 140 after Vegas.

I find jogging gets my metabolism and weight down faster than anything, so I'm switching from the elliptical trainer to the treadmill. I'll keep up with sit-ups and upper body weights but I think it's time to add lunges and squats OUCH.

The woman I'm going with is a platinum blond bombshell, she's only a bit younger than me, but could pass for 30 and has a gorgeous body that she doesn't mind showing off. LOL So if I don't want to feel like chopped liver next to her, I better get busy!! Let's get the party started.

I didn't not realize protein can benefit hypoglycemia. Interesting! I always feel better when I do low carb high protein meals. I have had sugar issues myself. As of this moment my hands are ice cold, I need to eat breakfast.

I have not been tested, but diabetes runs in the family.

I hope the self-care gets easier for you! I know what you mean, it's not simple and takes discipline.

Have a good weekend!!

Woo to squats and lunges (did that yesterday and my bum feels it!) lol

I think it's good to strength train both the upper and lower body. Make sure you give at least a day between the same body parts though. So alternate upper body and lower body. Also for the ab workout don't do it everyday either, it's a muscle like every other and it needs a day's rest too! I know for my P90X the ab workout is on day 1, 3 and 5. Then it alternates upper body and lower body workouts.

Good luck to your switch up in routine! I'm sure it'll help :)

Well I had a heart to heart talk with my self tonight and I realize why I'm not loosing weight. In the last three weeks I ordered pizza twice and had junk food (chips/chocolate) 3 of those nights. I'm just not taking this seriously enough. And now that I'm going to Vegas early May, I have literally 12 weeks to get to 150. At least I've been working out quite well, and my clothes do fit a bit more comfortably. But I'm consuming far too many calories and can do way better.
Here's my plan:

Tomorrow I'm filing out an application at my gym to hire a personal trainer.
Drink more water.
NO more pizza or junk nights. NO MORE CHEATS.
Eliminate morning coffee and alcohol completely for the next 12 weeks/84 days because it messes with my blood sugar levels and strenuous exercise already does that so I need to bite the bullet and cut them out.

I'll keep y'all posted. :) lol

There's nothing wrong with the occasional piece of pizza! As long as your portion controlling it for a meal, but not eating it all week. Plus if you make it yourself you can control what goes on it. It's easier not to eat it for sure, but learning to do your fav foods in a healthy way can only be a benifit for the long run!

I cut out coffee mostly. I haven't had it for weeks, and I'm sure I'll have the odd one here and there but I can't drink it as much as I used to either because I add too much other crap in it and that boosts up the calorie content.

Cutting out alcohol will be awesome. It's just not good for you period. I'm glad I don't really drink! So many empty cals. Good on ya for cutting it out :)

I'm doing an 84 day countdown to my holiday.
Day 84:

Drank my water
Ate within caloric range: soy milk, boiled egg, porridge, apple, peppers, Lean Cusine, almonds, baked fish, steamed squash and potato.
30 minutes treadmill, 1.5 incline, and speed of 5.
biceps, triceps and my 112 sit-ups.

Walked around the block at lunch and from my bus stop which is five blocks.

I also contacted my personal trainer. I know she's gonna put me in boot camp, the bitch (kidding) so I looked up class schedule in my gym and they have boot camp 3 Xs week, along with Zumba, cardio kickbox and a bunch of ball, skip and core classes. I am going to be hurTING! Tomorrow I audition for a super funny Irish play but it's at 7pm so I'll have time to workout between work and the audition. I've got loads of cut up peppers at work.
Hurray for day 84!!!
