Lili's Diary

A good day

Hi weight loss buddies. You're right Luke, I was a bit too low yesterday and I think it affected my sleep. Today I got them up to 1415 calories so that's good. I don't know what my wig will look like but I imagine it won't be anything as pretty as Pocahontas because I'm a farm wife from the 1930s. Wah!

Breakfast; Oatmeal porridge 340 calories, medium apple 80 calories
Lunch; 2 slices flax bread 170 calories, 3/4 can tuna 100 calories, 3 tbsp mayo 90 calories, granola bar 110 calories
Snack; 10 rice crackers 83 calories, 5 almonds 35 calories
Supper; chocolate strawberry soy smoothie 192 calories, 2 cups mixed frozen veggies 215 calories
Total = 1415
Walked the dog a couple K today and carried a really heavy bag back from the grocery store. lol

Good morning Anna! How strange calories affecting sleep! It is amazing what affects us!! I had a wierd episode in the pool last night. Normally I float like a piece of styrofoam but yesterday when I tried I sank right to the bottom!!!! Wierd side effect of weight loss. Not as much fat to keep me afloat... if I knock myself unconscous then I will just sink to the bottom and drown!! I better be more careful lol!! Hope you have a good day!!

Aw, shucks, thank you Cannon, what a nice thing to say. I earn a good salary, have a house, friends and family that love me, live in a free country, etc. etc. so there is just so much to be grateful for, I simply can't let life's bumps get me. I'm convinced although we often can't control things that happen to us, we can control how we choose to react to those things. Blah, blah, sounds good in my post, don't it? Putting it into practice is sometimes the hard part.

I love this post, and I admire you--you've been through so many hardships and you still have a great attitude. It's worth looking up to--I want to always keep that frame of mind. Have a wonderful day!! :hug2:

I share your life's philosophy. When you live in a city with so many homeless and down and out people, its truly hard to feel sorry for oneself over our daily ups and downs which are so minor in comparison. Gotta keep it in perspective. The play sounds really fun!

Fat floats and muscle sinks? Misheeeeee don't drown. lol Yes, lack of calories affects my sleep, my mood and ability to handle stress, because low calories messes with hormones and I'm in menopause...too much info? lol
You're married to a farm? I didn't know it was one of those art films.
Round these hare parts, tharz a lotta farm wives, don'tcha know? :rotflmao:
Who says a 1930's farm wife can't be outrageously sexy????
Ohhh I like that. I'm gonna make her a sexy busybody farm wife. ha ha

Aw thanks CG, but I doubt I've been through anything more than anyone here...I just whine a lot. LOL hugs right back!

Oh my god, no kidding. We don't have any street people where I live because it's too cold but that would really bring it home too, no doubt. I'm in a film this time, not a play. I'm looking forward to seeing the premiere with the cast and the post production party-yah!

Breakfast; Oatmeal porridege, medium apple
Snack; 10 almonds
Lunch; bowl of chili and bannock
Supper; Falafel pita sandwich
Dessert; Freezie Pop
Total = 1300

Walked 3 Km to work. I'm not getting to the gym yet, there's too much going on at the home front with one kid figuring out how to pay off his student loan and the other is buying a car and BOTH are looking for a house, and I've got guys coming over to clean up my backyard and haul crap to the dump...etc.etc.etc. Excuses, excuses! ha ha ha I'm still planning to help the boys move out and buy a little place without yards. My mom said I could live with her for a while which I would love, she's such a cool old gal! And then I could have the boys over to mom's and feed us all supper, which my mom would LOVE because she hates cooking and would love to see the boys and they would love to see Rufus. And, and, and, will somebody STOP her!

Ok now. I know I said I'd tell you when you need to step it up and get to the gym Anna but you are busy girl and I think that at 1300 cals, your walk to work and such is sufficient. Also I'm a little bit confused...so you are planning on taking the confusing job offer? I'm sorry, I must have missed something!

Oh, sorry for being confusing, NO, I'm not taking the goofy substitute job offer (they haven't even given me one yet), I'm selling my house because my dear boys are still getting a place on their own. Then I can pay off some debt and start saving for a kick ass retirement and take trips every year! :jump:

Oh, no I just didn't read correctly, haha you had JUST explained that in your previous post! That's WONDERFUL! I think that's super exciting. What a change...is your house going to sell quickly then? It seems like you've made serious progress on selling.

Wow it sure sounds like there is lots going on with you, and you're doin great with cals and exercise and humour too? You're too much. Too much talent for one gal.

Good morning Anna! Sounds busy. I am glad you are still getting a change! It's great that you would be excited to live with your mom. I moved in with my mom after I sold my house and lived with her for a year. I loved living with her but I hated living in her house. She is a very messy person and not just clutter messy but there are things that haven't been cleaned or dusted in 20 years!!! It is very dirty and actually affected my health!!! So I moved into an apartment but I still loved living with her and spending the time with her:) I will be nice for your boys to have their own place:) I am excited for them! I hope you have a beautiful day!! oh and no worries on the tmi;) These are things I have to know!!! :p ha ha ha;)

I wish! About the only thing I have left is my humor, I tell ya! I have been wanting to get over to your diary ... SOON. Thanks for popping in :)

I love it, my mom doesn't cook, your's doesn't clean, how refreshing for a change.

Breakfast; Oatmeal porridge, medium apple
Lunch; 10 almonds, whole wheat pita with refried beans and red/green peppers
Supper; fish with pineapple/salsa topping, 2 cups spinach
Dessert; DQ fudge bar
Snack; 7 cups air popped popcorn no topping

Walked to work and home, 6 Km.
Exhausted. Went to see a house, cut the kid's hair, the other kid had a tantrum because all the pita pockets were eaten. Sigh. All in a day's work.

Great job 2Skinny, I think that it's fantastic you're able to eat so well even while working so hard and helping your kids find a new place. I'll say it again, moms are amazing :)

Funny how kids can be old enough to be buying a house and young enough to have tantrums. :D Mine are younger. I thought things would change by the time they reached their late teens but then my sister told me that her three - 22, 18, 14 - were still fighting over who would sit in the front seat of the car! :D

It is all in a day's work isn't it? :) Much kudos to you for still making that walk happen. :)

Good morning! What a great disciplined menu!!! That fish sounds so good!!! You are doing well! lol I love the big kid tantrum:D he he he. Teaching high school I have seen that big kids aren't very different from little kids sometimes.... they just think their all mature. lol. Seriously give a teenage (even 18yr old boy) a latex glove and watch em go!!! It's even better if you have access to water!! lol My kids crack me up:rotflmao: Girls have a bit more reserve but they have their moments too;) Have a wonderful day!!!

My mom does neither of the above. Can i swop pls?
Cute. What the heck does your mom do? Besides have cute babies?

ha ha just when I read that today, I thought oh oh, I had a Big Mac and Fries and a chocolate bar and a bag of chips todaaaaaay.

My philosophy is animals got the right idea...they don't make their offspring dependent until they're 20 years old, they cut 'em loose after one or two years.

Thanks Mish, hope you had a good one too. My menu was as ridiculous today as it was good yesterday.
The support you give on this forum is so awesome. I would just love to meet you.
Oh Kelly, you are so kind. I might be taking a job in Vancouver now, so maybe we will meet!!! Wouldn't that be great? More about that later...
Hey Anna, here's to kickass retirements with lots of trips. They're highly underrated.
I know! I can't believe when people tell me they'll keep working at age 55 or 60, I think wtf? Are you insane? LOL Course I think my friend has it right, the other day she said life is backward, we should be retired from zero to age 40 and then have to work until 65, because who wants to sit on the beach nude all wrinkly and saggy? Cute.

Breakfast; Oatmeal porridge 300 cal
Lunch; Big Mac, Super size fries 1000 cal
Snack; chocolate bar, bag o' chips. 500 cal
Supper; didn't have one because I plain wasn't hungry.
Well that was an interesting anti-fruit, anti-vegetable sort of day! Good lord.
Can't even say I exercised today. sigh
I phoned our Vancouver office to see if there's any positions there and the Director told me they had a resignation yesterday and I should send my resume and call the Manager of the program. It's not a raise, promotion or anything like that, just a lateral move. But it's in my beloved Vancouver, where I was raised and where my brother and best friend live. So I doctored my resume, and sent it off and called my friend who works there who's been trying to get me to come there for years. And she faxed me the job description so I could tailor my rez to fit. I need an adventure. But real estate is insane there so I'll likely be living in a cardboard box. A very ... wet ... cardboard box.
Get home, it's freaking HOT outside, I buy the kids McDonald's and take one of them to see a 1992 Honda Prelude...nice car! Gotta run. Luv ya, I'm surprised I have friends on here since I haven't been posting in your diaries. Soon!!!!
