Lift, Train, Fitness

ok a bit of humour, my 21 year old son has just finished complaining bitterly he could not go to the toilet because there was a wolf spider the size of his hand sitting on the flush button :rotflmao: needless to say I caught the spider and carefully deposited him out in the garden where he belongs.

I have also selected my subjects for next semester, Advanced exercise prescription, which has part of it's focus on strongman lifts, how to coach them correctly and of course delving deep into the programming aspect of exercise (this is a 3rd year subject)

Due to a lack of other good elective subject choices for Semester 1 next year, I have chosen to do a photography unit. 1 it should be fun as photography is a hobby, and 2. hubby seems to think there is work available in sports photography.

I have finished all of my core units, so it is just electives I need to complete.

Poor spider thought it had found a quiet place! :D
Advanced exercise prescription sound really cool, I'll be interested to hear your opinions.

The families voting cards arrived in the mail yesterday for the state election at the end of the month, we don't actually have to have them with us when we vote but it makes crossing our name of the list much more efficient by scanning the Q code.

we don't bother with early or postal voting as our local booth is very small and almost never has a line.

There are 8 candidates for our division and I have no idea what most of them stand for, not that it matters much this is a very safe conservative seat.

One candidate is obviously there only to try and get his snout in the trough as he runs in every election (council, state. federal)

Your course has always sounded really interesting. Doing photography as a part of it sounds like a bonus :)

Thanks cate and LaMaria

it has been a stressful week so far and still have one more exam this week, and another in a couple of weeks

It is raining outside tonight for a change, we really need it.

one bit of good news, the grade for my outdoor studies from last semester has finally been posted after completing the last of the practicals, received a credit, 4 marks short of a distinction i guess that means I am now qualified to lead hikes, canoe, kayak and camping expeditions.

Good news on the rain! And great job on passing that class. Do you plan to actually make use of that qualification in the future?

I have not been posting much as I am in the exam period for uni, completed the last of my sports psychology exams today with another 80% mark covering aggression and leadership in sport. so depending on my mark for the info graphic, I am on target for distinction.

one exam to go !

Little miss is 3 on Monday, still have to assemble her new bike. Tomorrow morning will be cake baking time, not a great option for someone allergic to wheat but little miss likes cooking and she will take the cake into childcare on Monday morning.

This arvo the plan is to do some meal prep to streamline my eating, I will be weighing the prepped raw ingredients and freezing them so I can just pull one out each night to cook without having to think too much about it. my fat levels have been going in the wrong direction with study stress and needs to be pulled back under control, with portion control being the biggest issue because I am only eating non processed foods.

I hope just handling (and breathing in) the wheat flour doesn't cause you any problems. Unbelievable that little Miss will be 3 already!

So do I, it may be better if hubby makes the cake with her, cake is not something that anybody in the house eats very often.

finished prepping 9 individual meals that along with a moderate protein lunch (chicken, tuna or eggs with a basic salad) will meet my minimum daily nutritional needs and keep me in keto. I will still have to cook the meals but prep and measuring raw ingredients is done, if they were fully cooked meals that only need heating then son 3 would eat them all rather than cooking for himself.

:D Ok, that made me laugh. I hope your husband will be able to do the baking, but if not I´m sure you know to glove up and wear a mask.

hubby tried to bake, it did not work out, purchased a cake this morning lol

it has been terribly hot today, it was 34 (93) degree when I went into town at lunch time.

managed a training session today after checking for snakes, there was a big eastern brown yesterday so we had to select a different place for little miss to learn to ride the new bike. (training session listed in the lifting challenge)

Better to have to buy a cake than to be in agony. Had to look up eastern brown snakes: gorgeous, but definitely not something you´d want to disturb.

not much happening today, hair cut for miss 3 then time at the park teaching her to ride her bike.

She is fast asleep now, so I can nip out and move my car to the shed before the super cell storm is predicted to arrive, suppose to be a major storm/hail event this arvo.

Hope everyone stays safe
