Lift, Train, Fitness

Well done on the good food day & well done to your son! Re: loose skin on the belly. I wish I could get that done too Tru, but I don't think I'm prepared to go under the knife to do it. That's the only thing I dislike about my body now, which is a big step for me.

baseball is finished for the day, I am a touch sunburnt where I am peeling from last weekend but is should be brown tomorrow. I have markets tomorrow.

today has been ok

on the forum I often see people looking for a basic workout routine, I wonder if it would be helpful for me to put together a basic beginners workout routine that does not require any equipment to do? along with a basic routine which can be done with gym equipment commonly found in a basic commercial gym. specifically using exercises which require little to no input from a Personal Trainer to learn how to do them.

That´s a very handsome offer Tru, if it doesn´t take you too much time and effort I´d be really interested.

I will start putting some thought into it LaMa

Yesterday was Bench Day

Warmup followed by

Bench Press 6 X 3 @ 77.5 kg (171 lb)
Board Press 3 X 5 @ 85 kg (187 lb)
Incline DB Press 3 X 6 @ 25 kg (55 lb)

Today is squat day

Looks like I have been sucked in to helping with coaching Baseball. Working with the kids on fitness and agility drill at the start of training.

First Draft

Ok, this is the first draft of a basic home strength circuit which requires almost no equipment (a table or solid bar you can lay under is needed for the last exercise) this circuit will also get the heart rate up and could also be considered cardio, in particular the Steam Engine exercise when done with speed will get you huffing and puffing like a steam engine.

Links are provided for videos of each exercise which also lists the muscles used.

You are very Impressive! Great Accomplishments

I hope you will rest better tonight and I will start praying for your mom!

Tru, you are very generous with your time & effort for us all. I'll check out the link when I get home. I'll be thinking of you & your Mum & I wish you all the best with her op. I feel so fortunate to stillhave my Mum. I'll ring her today, even though I really won't know if she knows it's me. Sending you lots of love, xoxo Cate.

It has been a long weekend, Saturday was a 2.5 hour drive each way to Brisbane for Day one of the State Chess Championships, followed by the same again on the Sunday for both Chess and My sons lifting comp. The pic next to me is a bit deceptive as he is standing on a lifting platform wearing squat shoes lol, but he lifted well and hit the numbers he needed for National Qualification.

We are all exhausted but was a good weekend.

I have spent a lot of time catching up on sleep today, the weekend took its toll but feeling more with it this afternoon

Good to hear that you have re-charged your batteries Tru. Me too. Supporting can be exhausting!

doing great with the exercise :) how is your portion control going ?

Thanks! ;)

Portion Control last week was a mix of on track/then a couple of 2nd helpings. :leaving:

I just cook too darn good. I have got ta start burning stuff!

I did well last night and measured everything. Kicking off the start of week with self-control. :)

I just completed the first online module of

Exercise Physiology: Understanding the Athlete Within

being run by the University of Melbourne, so far so good, passed the module quiz

course is aimed at those who already have a degree in human physiology which I don't have although I have done a lot of independent learning, so having a crack at this will be tough going, but I think it will be worth it.

Howdy :waving:

Thought I'd come in and give your diary a look. I haven't read through the entire thing because it's 15 pages long, but I'll start reading now! :)

The online module sounds interesting. It sure sounds like it'll be worth it!

Take good care!

It was a quiet day yesterday for my birthday, and not much happening today...... so far

going to be another quiet day, will hit the gym shortly for a bench assistance work.
