Kureransu's Log.

thanks Alta! you're pretty awesome yourself!

catch up time!

Friday:
Wallyball was pretty darn fun, we did teams of 3 and our team went 8-0, whihc rarely ever happens. Got a pretty good workout from it as well!

Saturday:
Rest day. HOWEVER, my gf got me my belated bday gift, which was a pair of Vibram KSOs and i love them! I used them on sunday and today and they are just as i imagined they would be! for those whoa re wondering, here is a link to the pair i got

Sunday:

The workout class went pretty darn well for me! hula-hooping was successful, only dropping it twice during the 3 minute cycle. My stamina was extremely high, as i was no wear near as fatigued as i was weeks prior during the class.

Today:
Weight workout this morning. It went pretty darn well. I have decided to lay off the cardio on weight days sans wed. because i usually do a cardio activity in the evening, an i am beginning to show signs of over training. Pretty much i always feel exhausted, even with 10 hours of sleep. So soccer tonight, looking forward to the game, third session first game!

Last night was great! We dominated in the soccer game and won 8-2. i had so much energy from cutting the cardio out! there was one instance where there was this guy who decided that i was super slow due to my size, which i'll admit, i may not be all fat, but you wouldn't think me fast at all. Well a loose ball is coming and we all running for it. the guy waves his team off and yells arrogantly, i got it he starts to sprint for the ball and i'm sprinting next to him, and i look at him and replied "do you?" and took off past him to recover the ball before they could clear it. my team was cracking up! i did it a out ran a couple people a few more times and you can hear the other team saying "how the hell is he so fast!?!?" lolololol good times indeed!

today i did my cardio, but i dialed it back to level 16. After chatting with one of my good friends, who is also a gym success story, reminded me that at that resistance, i may as well be doing more weights, which thinking about it i am in more of an anaerobic state based on my heart rate at that level. at 16, i can go and a nice steady pace not over work and hold a little chat. kinda like a nice brisk jog. I did 6.25 miles and 1007 machine cals, which is fantastic. hope all is well for everyone!

RAWR!!!

I feel GREEEEAT! today was weights per usually, the routine went fairly well. i only puttered out on the second set of clean press and the second set of DB curls. I finished them, but i would kinda hang there for like 5 seconds to recover a little once i got around 15. SO the 1.5 miles in the vibrams was interesting... I felt like i was doing a foot and calf workout. it works muscles i didn't know could be worked! so i think i'll be doing 1-2 miles of running after weights and then the elliptical on the non weight days now. it varies it up and i don't run like a maniac! lol hopefully its the balance i need instead of going hard ALL the time.

Wow kureransu there's just no stopping you! YOU'RE ON FIREEEE! :D
Your diary is such a great read (I am still to read a fair bit of it!) but I just had to drop by and say congratulations on all your achievements,it's just fantastic how motivated you are! You're so active, you've got a great exercise routine.
By the way-what the heck is Wallyball!? It sounds brilliant whatever it is!hehe it made me laugh when I read it! :D

I look forward to reading your future posts, just keep up all your hard work-it's brilliant stuff!

thanks LL!

to describe it as simple as possible:
Wallyball is volleyball in a raquet ball court. you have a net and a more rubbery ball (think volleyball meets racquet of dodgeball) the difference is you can hit it off the walls and it still counts as play, as long as it only hits one wall between touch, and no ceiling or back wall. its a crazy workout playing 3 on 3.

^ Ah brilliant hehe thank you very much for explaining! :D
That sounds super fun though-and indeed, super intense!I like racket based sports, although I haven't played any in a long while which is sad.Used to love badminton. It's just getting a team of friends together who want to play to!Hmmm...I should look into that!

haha oh my goodness-yes now that does make it all the more intense!I have no idea why I assumed a racket was involved there!hehe what with volleyball being a bit of a give away!ohhh dear :D

Hey all!

It feels so good to know you've done your workout for the day and it's only 6am!!! one hour of cardio on the elliptical, level 16, 6.6 miles. not and controlled relaxing session, worked up a good sweat, but i enjoyed it thoroughly. not much to report between yesterday and today, guess i'll check out other journals!

So today's workout went pretty darn well. Usually fridays are the worst, because its the end of the week and my body is pretty worn down. But today i think i had a better workout thani have since i started this routine. First, it took 50 min to complete, compared to the hour it usually takes. Secondly, when doing the second set, there are a couple of workouts that i simply never make it to 20 reps with out having to pause due to muscle fatigue. Today i completed all 24 sets for 20 reps successfully. I'm pretty happy with that. Following i did 1.5 mile run, which i'll go into a little bit more.

So i love my gym. I go between 5 and 6 every weekday morning, and its the same core group. We all know each others name and we are all friendly and more than willing to help each other out. When i was going to run my 1.5 miles, there was a lady who was about to run too. When i told her how long i was going to run for, she kinda freaked and said she has no idea how you can go so long nonstop. So i told her we'll go at her pace and do it in baby steps. Run 2, walk 1, run 3, walk 1, run 2, walk 1, run 2. It's 12 laps per mile at my gym, and i just would give a number to run around before her next walking break. when she hit 12, i let her know that she ran 75% of the mile and she realized that it wasn't as hard as she thought it would be and was pretty excited. I felt pretty darn good about myself after that. Afterward, i ended up chit-chatting a bit and before i knew it it was an hour after i finished my run lol. I had to rush home shower, cook lunch and such, but i didn't regret it at all. I've been working out with the same people for over 2 years now, and i went from being the one asking advice all the time, to one of the ones giving it. its pretty cool.

Wally ball tonight. Definitely looking forward to running around! hopefully i can be on another undefeated team! As long as we have to work hard for our wins that is!

WOW. Been a while since my last update. i've a little bit to say!

Friday:

Friday night wallyball was pretty fun! we didn't go undefeated, but man did we work hard for our wins! I got a great burn and it was just flat out fun. I also suffered no injuries!

Sat:
Rest day. not much going on, last day of class. I'm so looking forward to this weekend coming, as the school gives a one week break after each term. It'll be nice to have my have a work free weekend!

Sunday:

Cardio class. It was great per usual, when when we got to the 3 min hula hooping station, i actually did it without fail! not one drop. I'm becoming a hula hoop master! lol We used the little ab wheel for one of the stations, and i can't believe how sore my abs are! In the class was a mom and her son. The son was a bit overweight, and he was having a hard time doing a lot of things. After the class i talked to him and the mom, and found out its 180lbs at 11 years old. I reminded me of me when i was younger, so i was talking to him and he just didn't care about anything fitness wise, so i wish him mom all the luck. She told me he manipulates people into buying him junk and such, and wakes up after everyone goes to sleep to snack on food when he's not supposed to. I hope in the next couple years he realizes that he needs to lose the weight, as i wish i was given that opportunity at that age. He is also being picked on and made fun of for his size regularly, so i wish him well.

Monday:

The weight workout was very very good. got a great burn and just enjoyed wearing myself out. I didn't do cardio following because of my soccer game in the evening.

Soccer was a blast. I was a very competitive game, and it looked like we may have been out. It was 3-3 for the longest time then out of no where they scored 2 goals! Half time was 5-3 them, and we were still positive. One of my friends who i invited to play this session, kicked a long one and it went in! it was crazy, he's like a natural, as this is his second game ever! A couple minutes later, we managed to pull off a one-timer and tied the game. So we were back to 5-5, and personally i was annoyed. Every session we end up being 3-4-1, and this tie would have but us back there, even though it's only week 2. At close tot he 2 min mark we got a break away and my gf took a shot which was deflected, and came at me. I turn for the ball, got it under control and just turn and shot... and got a GOAL!! In the 18 weeks i've been playing i've not once got a goal, so it was pretty awesome. That put us up 5-6, and we just cleared the ball for the next two minutes and took home another victory! so this session wea re 2-0 here's hoping for at least 2 more wins!

Today:

since the game wasn't over until 11 pm, no gym this morning, i'll be in this evening for my 1 hour cardio session.

Well, that's all i have you guys, hope all is well!

Yay awesome about the GOAL! That must have been super sweet! I think its great about the woman taking her son to try to get him more into fitness! I really hope to start my kids out on a good foot with that too. I hope to give them good lessons on food and hope that they stay healthy.

Doing amazing though wow 108 pounds!

Hi all!

I really need to get into everyone's journals! i just post and run! well anyway, let me get it in

Last night i went and did 1 hour of cardio on the elliptical, followed by 4 min of yoga, since there was a class going on when i finished up. good times indeed.

Today was just my weight routine, followed by 1 mile run and 10 min of hula hooping. good times indeed. Looking forward to resting tonight.
Short report. i'll be back later!

Hi all!

This morning i went over and did 1 hour of cardio on the elliptical, and then did 15 min of hula hooping with my gf. so a pretty good workout. Today is going to be the warmest day of the year here, topping out at around 68 degrees, so i am scheduled to play some tennis today! looking forward to that.

quick update before bed.(gym in 7 hours)

Tennis was an absolute blast!!!! i played 2.5 hours, and I played extremely well given the 4 months i've been off. it was like everything clicked better than it has ever before. I was hitting HARD with massive top spin AND putting it right where i wanted too! i won more rallys with winners than unforced errors on my opponents part. it was great. Even though i weigh a little bit more than i did last year, i was eons faster and had a lot more stamina. just an overall good 68 degree day. dinner i had a glass of chocolate milk, with some hummus and grilled salmon. mmmm hmmmmm!

Top of the morning to you all!

Today is pretty productive! got the the gym at 5 hit the routine without fail, ran a half mile for cool down, and i've been at work for the last hour, with only 3 to go! Going to the other side of the state with my gf to visit her friends (she lived out there but got a job here and moved. she hasn't really made friends here yet). Food seems to be going good, i dropped processed foods (chips and such) about 95% and its been working in my favor. Checked weight and i was 40, which is a 2lb loss. so looks like i'm back on track with my june goal.

OK, i've plenty to say as i am finally back in town and have a little time on the comp. SOOO

Sat:

My gf's personal trainer of old was celebrating one year of her opening her personal training facility (she used to train out of her house until a neighbor ratter her out...) So i went with her and did one hour of spin, and one hour of training, which was kinda funny, because she only trains women, but the women wanted me to participate to force them to work! so two hours of exercise that day..

Sunday:
rest, which was much needed. I worked out seven days last week.

Monday:

Yesterday was quite a day... didn't make it to the gym in the am, so i went after work. So i get there a little before six, one hours of weights, full body, per usually. It was such a horrible experience.. They gym was packed, and it drove me insane... Anyway i finish a little before seven, grab a bite, head to my soccer game, which was at 8. This was already crazy, but what the heck lol. We lose 2-3 which was fine, because it was anyone's game and i had a great time. BUT, right after the game we find out another team didn't show so the next team asks, if any of us will stay and play another game.. And i did. What we didn't know is that this was advanced league, and we got utterly destroyed. It was tot he point where it was just funny lol. Even with then just playing around we lost like 17-2 lol. I was happy about the two points. though. Needless to say when i woke up this morning i was in no shape to hit the gym for another hour cadrio session, so i'm saving that for tonight... great fun though!

Hey Hey!

So last night i did 30 min of cardio at a different gym... i hate that gym..its so unclean, so i got in and got out fast!

This morning I DID NOT feel like going to the gym... i just was not feeling it. but once i got there, it was great. I was moving along quite nicely adn it was only me and one other guy in the free weight area so i could do my circuit without interruption! him being there made it better, because ei need someone to pass me one of the dumb bells when i do decline bench presses. so all in all i am glad i went, not like i was going to skip it anyway. i would feel like crap all day if i did.... in other news, i surprised myself. i was talking to one of my gym buddies and he was telling me how he was doing sumo squats to save his back a little. He had 345 on it, and i knew my max was 405, so i figured i'd give it a whirl... And it was pretty easy on me! After wards i did another normal dead and no problems, which i can tell you that weight used to be a challenge for me, because 405 was like BARELY getting up. I was also surprised about getting it up (the weight, that is) after coming off an hour workout, where i've done 120 reps on my legs alone. go hopefully this day pans out to be a good day after all. dinner is going to be ground turkey mixed with scrambled eggs, with broccoli. if this weather lets up i may walk around the block a couple times dribbling the soccer ball for practice.. anyway, back to work i go!

Today started out as a bad day, but got progressively better. Wanted to be at the gym by 6, so i could come back home, shave and make lunch. Well the alam went off i hit dismiss instead of snooze, and i woke up at 6:30.... so i still manage to squeeze in a quick shave and make half of the lunch i wanted. had to go straight to work form the gym, which i hate. but work is going well. so i can't complain there should be out in a couple hours and plan on heading to a meeting at my old job, which is a video game company. It'll be nice to see the game and how it turned out since i worked on it for 6 months of its one year of production. so yeah. that's my day.
