Kureransu's Log.

end of day. people think i'm so weird for going to bed at 8 pm, but i feel i need to to get my exercise in. i'll report food and workouts in the morning.

Welcome back :) Looks like you've got a good plan going for yourself... kinda makes me want to schedule my workouts! I love being organized like that but I always manage to get lazy and not follow through :( Something to work on but thanks for a little motivation :D

thanks skkroll, that's why i started posting here! i stopped because i never got any responses, but i see a lot of people view it and i hope it keeps inspiring people to push forward! i can't wait to show my final results!

so update:

today's workout went really good, got in weights and my 30 min of cardio. Still doing leg presses, not chancing the back yet. So increasing my calories has shown me that that why i was at a standstill as i'm down 2 lbs from monday already! figured i'd list my food for yetserday

2 eggs, fried, and a serving of canadian bacon
grilled boneless skinless chicken breast
protien bar
two salmon patties with half slice of 2% cheese on each
piece of naan bread mmmm
bag of Krunchers potato chips (Achilles's heel) lol
1 serving of peanuts
a chicken strip ( needed something to tide me over til dinner was done)
eye or round steak and broccoli, with cheese sprinkled over the broccoli

tonight i'm showing some people who i play wallyball with a routine before we go play, looking forward to that!

SO not gaining weight last weekend made me realize something... i wasn't eating enough food for the amount of exercise i was doing. in other words i was over training. what i did was increase my intake by adding an extra meal, and you know what happened? I lost 4 lbs. so that's 14 lbs in 6 weeks, which keeps me right on track for my june goal.

showing my buddies my routine proved fruitful,a s they was super excited to begin to incorporate that into their routine now! they got a great sweat and had fun, which is what i wanted to happen. they kinda want me to do it every friday now lol.

wallyball was pretty darn fun and i ran around a lot so no complaints there. sunday's work was nice i did 40 min on the elliptical, the 1:20 min cardio circuit class with my gf. today, was back to normal, 1 hour weights and 30 min of cardio, and i'm now i'm in bed relaxing until its time to go to work in an hour.. hope all is well.

oh yeah

HAPPY VALENTINE"S DAY!

Morning all!

yesterday was a good day. I successfully surprised my Gf but have 3 dozen roses sent to her job, she was super happy about that!

Last night we had a soccer game, it was a lot of fun, we played hard, but lost by a goal, so no worries. I think my gf wants to go one more session so here comes another 8 weeks of monday night soccer! after that, back to tennis i think. who knows though, i may play both! I was super sore all over this morning, but because i didn't want to go out to the gym this evening, i forced my butt up and went in to get my hour cardio in. i did 6.5 miles, and hitting 1000 cals seems to be getting harder now that my weight is coming down, i did 1007, but i know 10 or so more pounds and i'll either have to go faster or a higher level to get 1000 in an hour. So last night before soccer we watched the movie RED with bruce willis, and i found it pretty over the top and funny! since my soccer game was so late i went to gamestop and picked up a game at its midnight release so i wouldn't have to go out my way to do it tonight, so glad i got that out the was as well. looking forward to lunch today, its taco tuesday... mmmmm hmmmm. hope everyone is having a great day!

here we go! so last night went out to pf changes for a friends birthday dinner, had crispy chicken and brown rice, not worth the money.... today's workout was rather good. I did my circuit in 30 min almost having no rest between. i suffered on the last 3 workouts and only managed to get 10 of my 12 decline bench press out. but i was very taxing on my body and i enjoyed it. moved up to level 17 on the elliptical today, dd 3.1 miles for like 560 cals in 30 min.

today's cardio..... oh man was it intense. you know yesterday i decided to turn the resistance to level 17. one notch. well it went fine, and i thought well back in the low 6's as far as miles go i'll ramp it up. well that was a 30 min session. Today's one hour session completely destroyed me. i managed 6.1 miles and 1125 cals burned, but the last 15 minutes i thought my legs were just going to stop moving. the resistance is sooo strong just one level up.. it could be since it's my 5 day working the elliptical that i'm just fatigued, but man.

in other news, i don't think i mentioned that my gf got me dark chocolate for v-day. It was ghirardelli dark. the catch is thet is was 3 types, 60% cocoa, 72% cocoa, and 86% cocoa. obviously the higher the percentage, the better it is for you, but she didn't know what pure cocoa tasted like so i decided to surprise her with a bite of the 86%. man the faces she made when she tasted that bitter bitter chocolate was a sight to see. i laughed sooo hard. I love chocolate period, so i finished it but i don't even think she could swallow it.

GIRL SCOUT COOKIES ARE IN THE BUILDING AT WORK... this is going to be problematic as long as tagalongs exist there... give me strength. good news it there are only 140 cals per serving so i know i'll be fine with "one" serving muuuwhahahahaha..

that is all for now : )

so today my job is celebrating all birthdays in january with ice cream in cake.. and we were instructed to " leave our diets at home" lol depending on the type of cake, i may have to have a slice lol. but i still ahve all these girl scout cookies, which i am doing pretty well on.

workout today was pretty intense. i was a little more tired than normal, i'm thinking because i didn't sleep anywhere near as much as i usually sleep, so by the end of this week, i was pretty broken down. definitely looking forward to tomorrow's rest day. Weights went fine. i went a little slower that wednesday, just because i was just feeling exhausted, even though i was totally pumped up. Cardio was a different story completely. it seems that i drank my water too fast or too much at one time, which i guess is the same thing essentially, but i developed a little gas bubble in my stomach. i was just about ready to call it quits on cardio due to my stomach not feeling well, then ii burped and all was well lol. As far as the actual session, it was hard, really hard... I did 3.01 miles on level 17 for 560 machine cals, which i'm am begining to believe maybe undershooting see how my gf has a cal counter heart rate monitor doo hickey that she wears to count her calories. when she did her hour session it, the machine said she burned 650 calories. her monitor said 800. I'm betting next week when i get to the cardio session i'll be much better at having rested and all.

In other news i've a friend who has been working out since last summer and has lost 52 lbs. went from 250 to 198 thus far. I find out that he has never taken a rest day, so i informed him of taking a rest day once a week and a rest week maybe 4 times a year. he was arguing me down, but i got him to listen. he was telling me he doesn't work super intense, but i told him regardless, you are wearing down your muscles and you will get injured if you don't rest them before they get tooo worn down. resting when you are worn out isn't resting, it's recovering. i told him i know when you see results like that it gets addicting and you don't want to stop, but it works out better for you in the end.. he finally gave in. i told him rest should be a part of your routine and he got it.

Hello all, I'm finally back on here to post..

Going back to friday...
Wally ball was pretty fun and i felt like i got a good workout in as well!

saturday was a rest day and i got to see a friend i only see about once a year on average at a party that night ans she looks fantastic. last time i saw her, she was like 220lbs. this yeah she was 176 and looking stunning. made me feel like i wasn't working hard enough! lol.

sunday's cardio circuit class, was VERY good! Check this, i even figured outhow to do something that i thought i would never learn in my life... how to hula hoop! What was amazing is how fast i got it. i would try for the 3 minutes we are supposed to be doing them, and the first two weeks i tried a failed miserably. the second week i did manage to keep it up for like 10 seconds, but last week it only dropped twice the entire 3 min! pretty exciting, and boy does it work your core!

Monday: sunday we were told to expect 1-3 inches of snow.. when i woke up it was over a foot. so i didn't make it to the gym on monday, i shoveled for an hour and a half instead, which i'm fine with. I did make it to my soccer game, which was fanstastic. i had three shots that were OOOOH SOOO CLOSE to being goals, but i kept catching the edge and it would bounce out off the edge instead of in! ah well, we won, and it was the last game of the session, so we get a week off before we start back up again.

Today, did my one hour of cardio! 6.15 miles, 1125 machine cals burned, and bure exhaustion! my legs will be a force to be reckoned with when all is said and done with me and this elliptical.

weight wise, i'm down another 2lbs to 242. so that's 16 in 7 weeks, staying on track keeping everything in like. i'm hoping for a 3lb loss to put me in the 230's starting march off!

man i'm slipping! almost forgot to post!

today's workout went pretty well. i've only one more before i change the exercises in my plan, and cardio was hard as it has been since i moved up a level in resistance. 30 min and 3 miles. not the best time in the world, but at least i fell my legs are benefiting from the added resistance...

THURSDAY!

so i DID NOT want to do this cardio session today. I was so blah. I got in and i did it, level 17 still, fighting my way through.. i did 6.3 miles, which is a new record! But man talk about an uphill battle! i mean i hit 6.3 miles at 60:00 lol. 1127 machine cals... relaxing and video games on the agenda for tonight, debating on what i want for dinner, i want middle eastern cuisine, but i don't know if i feel like driving.... i do have turkey burger at home though

kinda quiet around here.. hope everyone is alright!
Today was the last day for my current routine. This weekend i'll be writing out a new 12 exercise routine, and i thinking of going with sets of 10 instead of 12. the session after that will most likely be sets of 15, and by then i should nearing my goal and switching off of full body circuits and back to splits. I was so glad to have had finished out strong with this session, and i'm looking forward to next weeks. I fought my body so much to do cardio today. i was soo tempted to go home. it actually took about 30 min to actually get on the effin machine and make magic happen. 3.06 miles 30 min, 560 cals. i realize on weight days i'm much to fatigued to match the speed i do on my hour sessions, but i'll live. going up north this weekend, so i'll be missing the cardio circuit class this sunday, which i'm fine with, as i could use the extra day of rest to prepare me for the new routine.

As far as weight lost, my average of 8-10lbs per month is on track, but i would like to do more than sixteen for the first 2 months, here's hoping for at least 3 lbs, putting me in the 230's for march.

So i got back in town from a little traveling up north with my gf.. This is the start of a new routine. just got to lay it out before i turn in tonight! I didn't do anything as far as exercise monday or sunday, which i needed to rest time after and intense 8 weeks. I came back today pretty stong on my one hhour cardio session, knocking out 6.6 miles on level 17, a new record. I don't know why i push myself so hard... No matter how much i say i am going to take it easy, i find myself trying to best myself. I guess its a good thing though... right? Eating has been a little iffy, but nothing i can't recover from and then some, i should be fine come weigh in next week. i didn't want to weigh in the middle of the week, so i am going to wait until next mondya to see where i am at. I am soo excited about hitting my 200 goal. i can just taste it! i can't wait to see whaty i look like!

Something interesting. to note. While i was out of town, there was a lady there who i hadn't seen since sept. in sept. i weight about 230, and as you guys know i went back up to 260 to put on more muscle and now i am about 242. Well the first thing she saw, have you been lifting heavy weights? your arms are a lot bigger ad muscular than they were before. YES!! proof that it worked lol!

OK so here is the new routine! please have a look! SO today was the first day testing out weight limits, i completed everyone for 20 reps except for one, but over all i am going to drop the weight on most workouts. for 20 its justa bit too much, for 15 reps completely doable, but not 20, it took so long to complete it i couldn't do may cardio this morning so here is it. the new weight i will be using will be listed in parentheses. everything is 2 sets of 20, but today my decline db press was 1x20 and 1x14 (just too much weight

lat pull down @ 140 (140)
dumb bell squats @ 120 (120)
incline DB press @ 180 (150)
db curls @ 35 (30)
skull crushers @ 55 (55)
clean and press @ 75 (MAYBE 65)
bent over rows @ 60 per hand (50)
steps up @ 50 (50)
decline db bench @ 180 (150)
Cable curls @ 42.5 (42.5)
seated overhead tricep extensions @ 50 (50)
Seated leg curl@ 150 (150)

there you have it. 12 grueling exercises..... man was it tough today my gf followed along with weights adjusted for her and she burned 420 cals on her heart rate monitor/ counter, which is a lot for her being only 5'.. so its a burner alright!

well i managed to go back and my 30 min cardio session. this time i hit 3.45 miles which is the fastest i've ever gone, about 575 machine calls. it was a good workout and i didn't even feel completely out of breath. so its showing good signs of progress. On another note, i wanted just to see how much i could so i tried to lift 315 today. got it off 4 times, which i'm happy with. cardio for 1 hour tomorrow.. le sigh...

Hi all, finally back to my regularly scheduled routine! got in my one hour of cardio, taking it easy getting in 6.21 miles in 60 min on level 17. 1125 machine cals, quite a nice burn if i do say so myself. I'm just happy that i won't be going back there today! had an awesome dinner! It was so good i took a pic to share.

the contents are as follows.

steamed mixed veggies
half a pack of 99% fat free tukey burger mixed with 2 extra large eggs, with fat free cheddar sprinkled on top.

roughly 500 cals and 85g of protein and 100% delicious!

Hey all!
this morning i was successful at finishing all 24 of my sets of twenty! so the weight changes i made worked out, and i'm really enjoying this level of intensity. the workout takes an hour if not a little bit more, if i am exhausted. This workout severely impacts my cardio output, as i fought tooth and nail to get 3 miles in 30 min. I ended up with 3.01 miles, and boy was it tough. Here's the final rundown of the routine with the adjusted weights showing now:

lat pull down @ 140
dumb bell squats @ 120
incline DB press @ 150
db curls @ 30
skull crushers @ 55
clean and press @ 75
bent over rows @ 50 per hand
steps up @ 50
decline db bench @ 150
Cable curls @ 42.5
seated overhead tricep extensions @ 50
Seated leg curl@ 150
