hey sweetie, thanks for checking on me! i hardly ever visit this place anymore. kinda got out of the forums/facebook thing for now. tooo taxing. hope all is well!
 
hope all is well with everyone and you guys are still making progress, i have so many views now its crazy. i hope this thread was motivating to all of you who read. push push push through. I'm still add still hanging around the 225 mark, but i think i've lifted enough and want to drop another 25 and thirty. perhaps i'll be bag to log the last leg of my journey. hope all is well with everyone.

hai guys! i think i'm back for a bit. i am going to go through the last leg of my weight loss journey now, and i wanted you all to experience it with me! i'll post more in a bit about the state if my workouts as well as current pics, so i look forward to motivating and being motivated the the people of this wonderful forum. good day to all!
 
ok here is my first entry on the road to a leaner me. i'll recap the week thus far.

monday: missed the gym in the morning, played two hours of tennis, followed bby a trip to the gym where i did 30 min on the elliptical and a 20 min ab workout.

tues: hit the gym in the morning, 30 min of cardio and a 25 min arm workout (bis and tris) went to the driving range to hit some balls for an hour after work

wed: no weights, 1 hour of cadrio on elliptical. at lunch went for a 20 min walk witha co-worker,a dn then went back to the gym in the evening for another 30 min of cardio with my gf.

today: 30 min leg workout followed by 45 min of cardio.

if you haven't noticed i'm hitting cardio hard nowadays, i think in the gym alone i am at 3:15 in cardio yay. i'll most likely do another 45 min tomorrow putting my at 4 hours. and 4000+ machine cals burnt fat is in trouble now!!!

I just read through a bunch of your diary and all I can say is, WOW inspiring! You are what I want to be. Just completely motivated and just push through the weight loss.

Congratulations on making it to where you are now, you look great! I'm sure with your level of dedication that you'll meet your next goal in no time! :)
 
thanks for the kind words guys, i want to lose 25-35 more lbs of fat before i call myself done.. ways to go hopefully i can achieve most by year's end!
 
So here we are friday, and things are doing well. So 3 weeks ago i was at 240 (
had been lifting heavy and just putting on muscle) i wasn't happy with the number on the scale in comparison to what my body looked like, meaning i want to lose more fat... So now i'm down 7 lbs slowing creeping back down. the beautiful thing is this, when i went up the 15 lbs, besides shirts getting tighter in the arms and chest, everything fitted exactly the same. so now that i'm losing again, things are starting to loosen up, even though i weight less when i bought them! talk about crazy!

anyway, yesterday my gf wanted to do zumba at the gym so i went as well (we both did the morning as well). I did chest and back for 30 min, then 30 more min of cardio.

this morning i worked on core for 20 min followed by another 30 min of cardio, so this week at the gym i did roughly 4:25 of cardio for about 4300 cals insane! the crazy part? i've 2 hours of wallyball tonight! i love it, i can't believe i slacked on being so active!

hope all is well with everyone else. I've got a pic of me at the gym benching with 100lbs dbs.. anyone want to see?
 
well weekend was kinda fun, went tot he circus and spent time with the lady and friends no workout this morning, i've tennis at 5:30 followed by a 30 min circuit workout at the gym. here's that pic i was talking about btw...
 
Hi Everyone!

Its been a few months since i been on here and i just wanted to give everyone a big HELLO! I hope the holidays were good to everyone, and despite the desire to lose, you guys indulged and enjoyed yourselves during this wonderful time with friends and family. That said:

ITS GAME TIME GUYS!!!!

My journey has went a little different. 2010 for me was a fun time. I was sick of eating at a deficit, so i didn't. in fact i got weird and felt i was too small for my liking so i decided to go heavy and try to put on 20 lbs of mass to chisel in the new year, along with massive strength gains.

Well it worked. i got up 18 lbs. to 248 and i was doing 305 for 4 reps on incline bench and 335 for 4 reps on decline bench. i was squatting 405 for 5 reps and doing step ups holding 75lbs in each hand. despite the gain i didn't have to buy any new clothes or pants which means i did a pretty good job with muscle to fat ratio gained.

well from thanksgiving to x-mas i put on 10 more lbs lol and with no tennis to counter act all the wonderful food i wasn't too surprised. So this year i figure i'll go back to 2009, and i'll begin to post the same way. may it be an inspiration to all who need it, and motivation to all that needs to be re-energized! since its Friday, I'll do a summary catch up.

the plan for now is weights 3 days a week and cardio 6 days* a week. (* this means there may be more than one cardio session per day, which i will go into).

monday- 1 hour of full body strength training-circuit style followed by 30 min of intense elliptical action.
monday night- soccer for one hour (i'm in a league)

tuesday-1 hour of intense cardio-15 min ab workout

wednesday-1 hour of full body strength training-circuit style followed by 30 min of intense elliptical action.

thursday-1 hour of intense cardio

friday-1 hour of full body strength training-circuit style followed by 30 min of intense elliptical action.

friday night-2 hour wallyball session.

saturday- rest

sunday- 1 hour cardio circuit w/ abs class at the gym
(my GF wants me to do this with her).

this is my plan and i've followed it exactly up per day. my diet consists of lean, high protein meats, and low carbohydrates, with the ones i do intake being complex. i also try to intake a gallon of water a day and at least 150g-200g of protein.

Please look forward to regular updates and if you guys have any questions about anything let me know, i'll be more than happy to answer any of them in detail.
 
i figure i'd post a variation of the routine i do when i do weights. its only two circuits, but its a lot of exercises! It hits chest, back, biceps, triceps, shoulders, and legs. every thing is for 12 reps

pullups (BW)
squats@315 (i vary this up with leg press lunges and deadlifts as well)
incline BB bench @ 225
olympic bar curls @95
triceps pushdown @70
seated BB shoulder press @135
seated cable rows @160
leg extentions @210
decline BB bench @225
preacher curls (hammer machine) @90
dips (bw)
leg curls@180

that usually takes 45min-1 hour to complete 2 circuits. when i started this on jan 3rd and barfed so it's pretty intense lol.

just to get the ball rolling i'll give a little update for this week. sunday was nice circuit class that was a little easier than normal because the trainer was being nice for the superbowl lol...Monday was a rough day from partying on sunday so much.... so i went in and only did my weight routine. monday night i did my soccer game, which we tied, which i'm always satisfied with. tuesday i was soo sore from soccer i decided to do an evening session and went at about 8:30 for my 1 hour cardio session. after knocking that out at 9:30pm i returned 8 hours later to do my weight session along with 30 min of cardio! tomorrow morning is another cardio session, which i'm looking forward too. can't wait to get it done!
 
so today got to the gym on time. i was done with my hour of cardio by dawn. its pretty nice to be in and out like that i tell you. today was an hour on the elliptical, level 16 and 7.06 miles for a total of 1040 machine cals burned. pretty good workout i'd say, and still don't have to be at work until 9 so i'm in the bed relaxing. i thought i'd go back to sleep, but i went to bed at 8:30 last night so i'm pretty much up... time to check up on all thet "new" people on here now.
