where has the time gone!

Hey guys, thanks for the compliments.

SO.. i took friday off and went across state to hang with friends. I decided to pick up a little freelance job along the way. turned out to be bigger than i expected, and i was helping my friend and his borther sand his floor down. great times.... so i am finally finished with both. now all i need to do is finish my syllabus for my class, which starts next sat... Anyway, yesterday i ran 5 miles for a total of 20.5 miles for the week! a new record. this week i plan to do only ten, which reminds me i need to plan a running path for this neighborhood so i can run on the holiday. I also did bis and tris, which was nice. so i am in recovery mode now, hoping to get mucho sleepo for the next couple days. hope everyone has a fun and safe remainder of weekend and holiday, if you have one on monday!
 
Martes

Bueno, hoy is martes y... just kidding lol

today is tuesday and I decided to take yesterday off from posting, so here it goes. Yesterday, I ran 2 miles, then meet up witb a friend to workout. I ran earlier just in case she wasn't as intense as i was, and i can keep pace with her and not worry about pushing myself. But we went to this ridiculously huge high school, ran a mile thre, i tried to sprint a quarter mile and got 3/4ths there, so not bad. i sucked because i ran out of breath before my muscles fatigued, so my breathing stamina isn't as great as i hoped, but hey it was still impressive for me anyway. We walked a couple laps and we ran what i swear was the longest set of bleachers known to man at any school. i went up and down 5 times, and mi thoght i was going to collapse lol. she told me that i seemed like i could keep going, and i told her because i don't let my body dictate when i should stop. i always push, but i was near done lol. i may have been able to push out two more at that pace i would ahve been considerable slower. oh yeah, when i did sprint the quarter miles, when i ran out of breath, i only slowed, i didn't walk, so i may not have been going top speed, but i still ran, i just had to slow to a speed where i could regulate my breathing. that was pretty much all for monday., just video games and relaxing otherwise.

ok today. My plan is to run light this week. 10 miles was my goal, but it'll be 11 because of the extra mile i ran on monday. I did a 2 mile run today, and decided chest and back, even though it is bis and tris day. no worries, good to mix it up anyway lol. so today was a mostly dumbell day sans flys and decline, because i can't position the dumbells right with decline and all the benches were used, so i did the machine for flys. I suprised myself with how mcuh i was lifeting with dumbbells, which i'll post below. as far as dumbells workouts go, the number for weight if PER HAND, so you'll have to double it for the total amount i lifted.

pull-ups BW- 3x10
DB flat bench- 1x10@80lbs, 1x10@90, 1x10@100!!!!! lol
deadlifts :( - 3x10@225
DB incline bench- 1x10@70, 1x10@80, 1x8@90
DB bent over rows- 1x10@65, 1x10@70, 1x10@75
BB Decline bench- 2x10@205, 1x10@185
Lat pulldown- 1x10@140, 2x10@160
Flys (machine) 1x10@105, 1x8@150, 1x10@135

Wednesday

Where to start..... ok, i'll start with my story of the day.

Today at the gym was leg day. usually on leg day i try to squat 405 once or twice. well today, when the spotter went to spot me he tickled me, which made me buckle and down i went lol. i caught myself before crashing and was able to rack it at the bottom lol. we set it back up and tried again and i got of two go me! anyway, besides that debacle, i ran for my two miles, and i think in honor of melissa's first 5k, i will run 5k tomorrow instead of my planned 2. That way i feel like i'm training with her and supporting her. i'm a dork i know lol. my goal will try to be in 30 minor less, so we'll see. I also was able to get in 3 hours of tennis, which was absolutely amazing. pretty good day over all. here's my workout cord lol...
again supersets so insteading resting i just do the other workout to hit other muscles while the later are resting i'll list them in pairs

i did 11.5 pullups just to see how many i can do at full stregnth.

squats- 10x225, 10x315, 10x315, 0x405(lol), 2x405
hip adductor- 10x190, 10x190, 10x190

lunges- 10x120, 10x 120, 10x120 (60lb DB in each hand)
hip abductor- 10x190, 10x190, 10x190

leg extentions- 10x215, 10x215, 10x255
leg curls- 10x190, 10x190, 10x190

10 box jumps stack 14 steps high.

That is some awesome stuff. I have such a long way to go.

Those box jumps - how high is that total? How high is each step?
 
lol! that's great. i've still a long ways to go. i am thinking abiyt toning the weights down a tad to push through this fat i have left through running. try to accelerate it a little more
so tomorrow i go lighter, higher reps.

Thursday

So here we are.

Ok I am abosolutely sore. i can't explain how sore i am all ove. mu butt is even sore. leg day is killer and my back is just as back lol. just adn arms are moderately sore, but oh man are my lower body and back is crazy sore. Today was bis and tris, which went well. i'll list the workout in a second. As promised, and i hope you read this melissa, i ran my 5k (well a little more, it was 3.16 miles) as my way of training with you :) took me 28 minutes, a new personal best!!! tennis later today and i am debating what to run tomorrow. i am at 10 miles for the week already. should i just do 12 or go crazy and do 15 for the week lol. i don't know i guess i figure it when i start running tomorrow. here's the workout

preacher curls- 3x10@75
close grip flat bench- 3x10@205

21s (you curl 1/4 up 7 times, half way up 7 times and full curl 7 times)- 3x10
kickbacks- 1x10@45, 1X10@30, 1X10@35

reverse curls- 1x10@55, 1x10@65, 1x10@75
dips- 3x10@BW

friday good times.

Man i feel really good today!

i played 1.5 hours of tennis yesterday and got quite a workout. I came home wrote up a project overview sheet for my class that came back with minor changes, figured out what i wanted to give for their first assignment and uploaded it, hit the gym with a moderately heavy chest and back day, ran 2 miles in 17 min, and now i am at work with the day blazing by. i'm going back across state tomorrow after my class and i am looking forward to that as well. gonna hit the tennis and golf company to demo a couple racquets for my friend and i to play around with, as well as buy a bag and new balls. I feel really confident about my class this sat, and i've no real complaints about anything in life right now. can't get any better. oh yeah it can, I'm losing weight and transforming my body into the solid temple it deserves to be! work was pretty much the same as tuesday, so i won't bother posting, it was just a tad bit heavier. I even went up to 275 on BB flat bench to make sure i wasn't losing strength. i should have went to 295 lol. So that's how i've been. pretty dead in here as of late, sucks, but i guess i'll live. how is everyone doing!?!

thanks for the kind words Alta. i can't begin to describe the amount of positive energy your post put out. i;m flattered you find my journal motivating. you're doing such a great job yourself. but i guess i find yours motivating as well so there ya go! anyway thanks again.
 
Monday

Man i am so spent! This weekend went by too fast! I played tennis of friday, then saturday, then sunday lol. A lot of tennis. My class went really well, and ii think i will get some great work out my students, i drive across state again to hang with friends following class and i just had a blast. making smores grilling mmmmmm just good times. we tried wii fit and i found out i am much more flexible than i thought. I can actually touch the floor with my fingers when i bend down, feet together and legs straight! i can also reach pass my toes when seated, with the legs straight out! totally surprised myself there! Today i ran a measly 2 miles and did chest and back for weights. I think i am now going to focus on my diet and get lean for these last 39 lbs, not saying i will lose muscle, i think i have enough and need to keep it up, while trimming down. i woke up extremely late today, so i couldn't run as long as i wanted too, but i have tennis tonight. So, that's my weekend in review. How is everyone else doing?

I wish I could play tennis you make it sound sooo cool. but I am utterly scared of balls, can't help it. haha I am like Daria.
90 pounds is a daaarn world of weight I can't even imagine how good you must feel! but you are working hard for it, amazing. I only have to lose 30 and it feels like so much, it is nothing really :)
