Your day was not as bad as you make it out. I bet you just felt fuller than you usually do because you have been eating so much healthier.

PLUS... you still managed to get on that exercise bike.

Good luck tomorrow.

(I'm trying to find some kind of "bar" that I can keep in my car for emergencies if I happen to be out running errands and get hungry. How is the Kashi bar you had? I really like the Kashi Go Lean Crunch cereal and the Kashi Cinnamon Harvest cereal, but have never tried anything else.)

Your lunch and dinner are taunting me. Stop it!

I'm sure you are going to be fine, I wouldn't worry. I mean, let's be honest, you have been kicking ass lately. Don't worry, because one slight stumble is something you can recover from! Good luck with the weigh in!!!!!!!!!

exercise update

UGGGGGGHHHHHHHH! I got up from dinner, cleaned my plate and headed straight to the exercise bike. I biked for 10 miles!!! It took me 32 minutes and 33 seconds. It says that I burned 364 calories...but I'm not counting on it. The bike didn't even ask for my sex,weight,height,...nothing...so you just never know. ANYWAY, it still kicked my booty and I had sweat dripping down my face! I'm not home yet, but I might do my Cardio Max when I get home just for some extra burnage...and to ease my conscience. :willy_nilly:

Woohoo! I did the Cardio Max workout after the exercise bike. 5 min=warmup 20 min=Cardio 5 min=yoga/cooldown.

Minus-You're right, I was thinking that same thing. I really think I freaked out b/c of the amount of food I ate. It was a lot for what I've been used to for the last...43 days.

I LOVE Kashi food!! They could hire me as their spokesperson :biggrinjester: I eat their frozen meals, cereal, snacks, and whatever else they want to throw out there. The Kashi bar that I had (Pumpkin spice) was sooo good. However, I would like to comment on Kashi's ability to disguise the word "sugar" in their ingredients lists by calling it, "evaporated crystalized cane juice crystals." I almost choked on a whole grain while reading that!! Are they thinking we are idiots or what?!

Haha! I thought that I might overload the system here on the weight-loss-forum by entering in the words "fried mushrooms and cheesy mash potatoes" I still feel the guilt sitting on my thighs. Oh well.:chillpill: No worries....until I get on the scale tomorrow. Seriously though, I'm not that worried b/c of the amount of exercise I did today. It might do me some good to have all that protein in me! *Thinking positive thoughts* Thanks Buckeye!

(540)Breakfast: 1 cup of Kashi Organic Autumn Wheat (190), 2 tbl. low sugar,low sodium peanut butter(190), half of a banana (50), 1 C. of Orange Juice(110)

What I wouldn't give for some fried mushrooms and cheesy mashed potatoes. :drool5:

Congrats on not having a gain even though you splurged! But what you ate today sounds fantastic...I'd been wondering if Kashi was any good or not.

And I assume Laughing Cow cheese is also yummy? :D I've wanted to try that out too, but I keep forgetting when I make my grocery list.

My opinions on Kashi and Light Laughing Cow

Thanks!

Seriously. Kashi is my favorite. I would be lost if they suddenly up and disappeared. I'll list my favorite Kashi stuff:

Favorite frozen meals-- Sweet and Sour Chicken; and if I'm in the mood I like the Rosemary Chicken (Be careful though. The rosemary might jump out and slap you in the face!)

Favorite Frozen pizzas- Roasted Garlic Chicken; and Mediteranean

Favorite Cereals- Go lean Crunch (This is good on cottage cheese and I'm sure it would be great in yogurt too); and this morning I tried the Autumn Wheat (which is like Mini-Wheats and it was reallllly good with peanut butter. I haven't tried it with milk yet, but I'm sure it's delicious.

Granola Bar--The Pumpkin Spice Flax was awesome!

Waffles--Go lean Blueberry. (Didn't like the original and I want to try the Strawberry Flax)

Crunch Bar--I've only tried one of these once at a friend's house and didn't like it too much. It was months ago and I wasn't really back into eating healthy yet, so maybe I didn't have much of a taste for it. It was one of the Chocolate Nut ones....(peanut,or almond) I think that I would like the Chocolate Preztle ones. Yum. Only as a treat though, cuz it's FULL of sugar...or as they like to call it...."evaporated cane juice crystals" HAHAH! Cracks me up everytime!!

........

The "Light Laughing Cow cheese" is really good and a nice portion in each wedge with only 35 calories. I have the Light Garlic and Herb; and the Light Swiss, which I haven't tried yet.

You are doing awesome today!

I'm glad that the scale gave you "not so bad" news today. All that exercise just burned those calories right up, and you were still able to enjoy a little extra endulgence.

Thanks for sharing your Kashi tips with us. I LOVE the Go Lean Crunch cereal. And, I bought a variety pack of the Kashi granola bars (Trail Mix, Peanut Butter, and Honey Almond Flax). Haven't tried any yet, but I'll let you know how they are.

One of the greatest things about this forum is finding tips & tricks that others are using.

Girl you are looking good with this eating plan of yours! Laughing cow is amazing, I should really start buying it more often. There are also those little Babybel (sp?) that are little cheese circles and they are really light on the calories also. I love cheese and know that aisle like the back of my hand. Sad really. haha

I hope you are watching the Olympics tonight, water sports all evening!!! :patriot:

USA USA USA!

Congrats on the no gain too. That is really amazing, considering that your meal made me gain four pounds just reading it. The four pounds was the jealousy increasing inside of me. haahaha Have a great night!

Thank you Minus!!! :D

HI pastelroses.

Comming by to see how u r doing? And doing good I see!!!!!!!!!!!
Very happy to see that things are going great for you and your weightloss.

Im rooting for u :D

I've got a bad case of the "blahs"

218 this morning. I've been 218-219 for over a week. It's getting boring. I'm going to give myself some constructive advice and anyone else that is reading this is welcome to do the same! Please.

So, I tried to tell myself a couple of days ago not to have any cheese for a day and that backfired and I've pretty much been eating it at every meal since. What's wrong with me? So I decided that instead of going "cold turkey" on cheese (how sad is that?:blush5:) that I would cut it out for one meal a day. Today I am not going to have cheese at dinner. One small step at a time.

See, but this bothers me. If I wanted this weight loss bad enough wouldn't I do something more drastic than to not eat cheese at a meal??? I'm feeling down today. Not because of the scale, but just in general. I just want to curl up on the couch and zone out on tv or play some video games. blah.:chillpill:

To cheer me up a bit I'm posting my weight loss chart in here. I can't deny that there has been some progress. Just not in the last week. I guess I should also keep in mind that just because the scale does not move does not mean that there is no progress going on. I know that what I'm doing is healthy and good for my body in the long run. Well, I'm glad I just had that little pep talk with myself

So if anyone has any advice....I welcome it. (I can already hear somebody saying: Stop weighing yourself everday. I agree with all of the reasons why not to do this but I'm just not there yet.)

Day 45 8-12-08

Well, I upped my calorie intake today. My mood is thanking me for it.:Angel_anim: I was a bit cranky earlier.:cuss:

218 lbs. this morning.

(615)Breakfast: Kashi Rosemary Chicken(all natural ingredients)(330) mixed with a light laughing cow wedge(35), ate it on a toasted whole wheat pita pocket(150) Glass of OJ(100). From all of that I got 25.5 g. protein and 8 g. of fiber. Full and happy.)

(710)Lunch:3/4 piece of deli ham(100) dijon mustard(10) wedge of light cheese(35) half a serving of triscuit thin crisps(70);
half a banana(50),1 tbl. natural peanut butter(105)serving of win-dixie brand vanilla wafers(120) 2 cups of milk(220)

I'm at 1325 with just breakfast and lunch. I'll def. be going over 1700 calories today. I'm okay with that. My in-laws are coming over for dinner tonight(mom- dad- and sis-inlaw). Since this morning, I've been slow cooking a roast(with 3tbl. flour and seasoning and 3 tbl. olive oil when I browned the meat) with carrots, onions, celery, snap beans, and garlic. I'm making mashed potatoes for them and a sweet potatoes for me(and anyone else that wants one) I'm not sure how many calories are in a roast, but if I don't over-do it on the portion then I will probably be at my maintenance calories today.

Maintenance: 2381 Calories/day
Fat Loss: 1905 Calories/day
Extreme Fat Loss: 1744 Calories/day

Hey there,
Well, I don't know if it's the day or what, but the blah's seem to be contagious today. I certainly have them myself! I think that if you can just make it through today, you will be feeling so much better.

About the cheese, just remember that you cannot freak your body out by completely changing everything at once. Maybe instead of not eating cheese, you can try eating lower fat. I am also a cheese lover, and have found that I can use fat free cheese on the things like sandwiches, tacos, etc. It doesn't melt as well for some reason, so if you use low fat cheese when you are making things like enchiladas or lasagna, it works better. I know it sounds crazy to be talking about making things like lasagna, but think of this... You can use whole wheat pasta, make your own chunky tomato sauce, add mushrooms, and use ground turkey instead of beef. Plus, use the low fat cheese... Now, how bad is that? Plus, make a big 'ol salad to go along with it and you've got a pretty darn healthy meal, if you ask me!!!

Keep on going, we will all get through this day and continue our journey toward success.
