Hey Mands thanks for popping by and congrats on your weight loss already that is awesome :), its really inspiring to hear every bodies stories!

Just managed to drag my self out of bed lol so im up and getting ready for the gym, i decided better get my self out and about, less temptation that way!
should be a good one!

Hey there, was just reading through your journal and wanted to say hi. Good luck resisting temptation this weekend. I'm going to try to do the same. Getting out and about is a good idea! Have a great weekend! :)

You've got a lot of people on your case now Kiwi...better not dissapoint everyone :p

(I say this, having had a kebab and Carls Jr in the last 2 days...oh the shame!)

Enjoy your gym session!! Being out of the house makes it soooo much easier not to munch on forbidden foods.

Have a fab weekend!

hi all! , its 12.45 on sunday avo here

Happy to report iv had a great weekend!, I have managed to resist temptation which is HUGE for me to be honest im really really proud of my self!. On friday i was definately not thinking i would be able to do it ( i know i know negative thinking never helps!).
Anyways on saturday i had a choc orange shake for brekie, only managed to get to the gym for about half an hour because i forgot it shut at 12.30 (duuuuuh) I had a meal replacement bar for lunch and then a nice salad wrap (wholemeal) for dinner and i snacked on a bit of fruit after dinner, i had a couple of vitaweat crackers too.

Today i decided to go to the gym again because i didnt get as much of a workout yesterday as i had wanted.
I ate a meal replacement breakfast bar on the run which i know isnt the best thing to do but i wanted to get to the gym to have plenty of time to spare.
Had a great hour or more long workout and went right through my programme.
Im feeling good!. I might have a shake and some fruit for lunch and im not quite sure about dins yet.

Oh also i downloaded the my fitness pal app for my phone, and i think its awesome!! , if im feeling tempted to eat something bad or what have you i will just look it up and reading up on the calories deters me!
Iv also kept a diary on there of what i have eaten and what excersise iv done for the day and it adds up everything for you, showing you what calories you have left for the day etc. quite handy!

Its a gorgeous day here in the naki so i might go sit outside and try get a bit of sun on these white legs!
:)

Glad to hear your weekend went great. It's still early sunday here. Also glad to hear your sticking on track and kicking those temptations to the curb! That app sounds very interesting and helpful, I might have to download it :p

also jealous of your sunny weather. haha

Def get that app. Its very handy!!

So not much to report at the moment... its tuesday morning and its another gorgeous day, was sooo hot yesterday!
I had a good monday trying to get back in to work mode, I had a meal replacement bar for breakfast and then i had one of the soups and and a bit of fruit for lunch. The soup was suprisingly nice!.
I also snacked on a lowfat yogurt during the day (apricot mmm yum!)
Then it was off to the gym for a decent hour workout.

Im having one of my shakes atm and its the vanilla flavour... not so much a fan of that one.

Im quite suprised that i havent been craving or missing any of the sweet stuff like coke, fruit juice, alcohol, choclate etc and pretty proud of my self for sticking to water. What I am missing is bread!, i could kill for a piece of toast with melty margarine or a toasted sammy. mmmm carbs!

does anyone have any good ideas for healthy (yummy) stuff to snack on during the day?, apart from stuff like fruit, low fat yogurt, nuts and seeds and such which im already trying

anyway best go to some work!
have a great day all :)

I've been told having protein and fibre are important in snack - like a protein bar and apple would be ideal. But yeah, I've just been doing the whole fruit, vege, and maybe a nut bar/nuts...seems to work for me!

No cravings yet? Thats pretty awesome...fingers crossed they never come, some people actually don't get them...lucky people!
Maybe having a prepared low calorie option handy for when they do hit...low cal chocie, coke zero ect. Or maybe that just encourages you to eat more...i dunno!

But hay, it sounds like things are going good for you, so AWESOME :)

no cravings yet... well apart from the toast and stuff ,but im sure they will come lol
thanks :)

Iv not got alot to report at the moment, my diary will probably start being pretty repitative and boring...

Iv got a couple of challanges coming up this week.
Iv got a dinner out on thursday night for a workmate who is leaving, now we are either going to an indian restaurant or a tapas bar, im im a bit nervous about choosing something that is relatively healthy!!! , i think i will bring my phone with me and use the my fitness app to look up cals and stuff, im not going to be too obessive about it but hopefully i will make a good choice.
Also theres another farwell morning tea on friday where every body brings some food, of course there is usually not the most healthy stuff there, pasteries and cheese and crackers and stuff so im hoping there might be some fruit platters or fruits and nuts or something, i might even bring some of them my self! hmmm thats a good idea.

Ohwell off to do some work now!
:)

Iv had a pretty busy week so not had alot of time to jump on here and write in my diary!
Anyway as i wrote in my last diary i had a couple of challanges this week, I managed to get through them reasonably ok, though admitidly i did stray a bit from my Kate Morgan diet but i still added the calories up that i ate and they were toooo bad.
I stuck to my meal replacements for brekie and lunch all week and snacked on fruit or yogurt.
On thurs night went out for dinner to a tapas bar, i was abit naughty and had a glass of wine and a few nibbly bits like samosa and chicken taco thingys but I didnt go overboard and i had a salad for the main meal.
Yesterday we had a farewell morning tea, luckily there were some healthy veges with dip and crackers, I did have abit of chiabatta bread and ham too (I soooo enjoyed the bread as i havent had any in ages!!).
Iv also been hitting the gym everynight apart from the night i went out for dinner.

Anyways so heres my news!! . I jumped on the scale today and after 2 weeks it is sitting at 100kg (after starting at 102.5) I was very suprised!!!!!, now i know this is probably water weight or whatever but it is very encouraging to see the scales going down, and omg already almost at my first mini goal of being back in the 90s :) :). I am a happy camper!

Hope every one is doing well!

There's nothing wrong with a little snacking here and there. It's fantastic that you kept the right mindset, and were able to go out and enjoy yourself without any guilt. Also congrats on the loss! You have been going to the gym, that's not all water weight ;) your doing great!

Hows the long weekend/short week been going for ya kiwi?
Hope you didn't fall off the wagon like me :p
I wanna see double digits from ya....whats the latest

Woopsies havent written in here in a while! , life has been pretty busy at the moment, i come home completely dead from work and the gym and crawl in to bed lol
Things are going good though still hitting the gym and sticking to my diet (mostly!!). I did cheat a bit at the weekend, i went to a house warming thing and might have had a few drinks and a piece of pizza! , But i worked my ass off at the gym and im just sitting on 99!! YAY lol was quite suprised because i wasnt expecting any change yet.
Happy days! , hope every one else is doing awesome
:)

A slip is ok as long as you get back on the band wagon and continue dieting. And well done on the exercise!!

You will see results soon!

Wheres the updates Kiwi? I want to see if there was any binge eating on Waitangi Day :p

Haha nah, hows things been going anyways?

Lol ok ok i know iv been pretty shocking at updating this thing!

I was abit naughty on waitangi actually and had subway (im not supposed to be eating bread!!) and a coke zero. But meh i figure thats not too bad , and i spent most of it at the beach and went swimming so that must have burnt a few cals :p

soooo im now at 98 (YIPPEE) and pretty stoked, i guess all the hours at the gym are paying off.

I had a breakfast bar for brekie today and a smoothie and a couple of bits of fruit for lunch.
Every thursday at work we get free smoothies and as much fruit as you could eat for a small koha which is pretty cool!

I will hopefully start writing in here more often since iv just bought a new laptop and i get to pick it up today :D

First, welcome and keep the updates coming.

So I read your whole log and I only had to look up three terms (Jafa, waitangi, and Koha). Being a Texan i can share some of our unique terms.

Here we tump things over, I live in a hollow (pronounced holler), and we are always fixin to do something.

Silliness aside, great job so far!
