Man, I tried to write an entry a few hrs ago, then all of a sudden, there was a major thunderstorm and whenever that happens, the power goes out, SO now I gotta remember what I wrote!
le_squish: Yeah, I remember one session from the Thighs of Steel tape, that had a series of squats, wide legged squats and plie squats that I absolutely loved since they made my thighs burn in a good way. Thank you about the mini-goals. I thought they were a good idea, too, lol. I have been kinda obsessed about the number on the scale, though, also. Yeah, you would not believe how much unnecessary calories add up, if you drink even one soda a day.
kj67: Thank you! That really means a lot to me! There just came a point where, well, I just turned 30 and I decided I just did not want to wait any longer in being happy with my weight. I'm not growing any younger! I haven't actively tried to lose weight for a long time, though. I do eat bananas on occasion and I know I should stretch more often. Bad habit, I know!
So, today I had:
2 cups of coffee
2 egg salad sandwiches with a slice of velveeta cheese
and going to have biscuits and gravy with scrambled eggs for dinner.
Shouldn't be too bad on calories today, either.
Last night, I did get hungry and I ate a banana and spoonful of peanut butter. It almost made me cry wanting a bowl of that Marshmallow Mateys cereal that the kids have for breakfast. It's like cocoa puffs with flavored marshmallows in it. But, after having the peanut butter, I was feeling satiated, at least. And then after that, I knew I just wanted it for the sweetness.
I also took the day off from my walk and will start back up tomorrow. I did do my lower body exercises today, though. 3 sets of 12 reps each:
squats
wide leg squats
plie squats
lunges
reverse lunges
standing outer leg lifts (w/ 5 lb ankle weights)
lying down inner leg lifts (also w/ ankle weights)
butt blaster (on hands and knees with a 5lb dumbell behind your knee, lifting your leg up till it's parallel to the floor)
Tomorrow, I want to do my arm exercises and might work some ab exercises in, too. Just haven't felt the burn in my abs in a while, feeling I'm not making much progress on that part.
