Feels like less than that today Im telling you, it's been a bit tough!! Its coz I used so many calories on breakfast!! Gotta weigh in the morning so I'll post again then. Im a bit nervous after how much I hyped it up after last weigh day!! This has not been a great week for me, but hopefully will have something good to report anyway :)
 
Hey KP thanks so much for visiting my diary. You're doing great. Those breakfast calories will kill ya if you're not careful, but its great to start the day off on a full stomach.
 
Hey Kez- you welcomed me on my diary too...
Seems like you and I are in similar boats- about the same to lose/goal weight, I packed mine on and off a few times in uni! How's it going? Go for it on the swimming- once you get it there's nothing like it. I just started going again- it's a great all-body workout and you can't get stinky!
Let me know how the aquarobics goes- I've done a few different ones, some were great and some were awful!

Weight loss!

Hey thanks Cannon and happy squid!!

I am glad to say that despite having a not-great week, I have still lost 1.5 pounds!! So I'm happy :)

Also, this is a bit of a milestone coz although I am not QUITE at healthy BMI (which was my original goal for today) I HAVE lost 10% of my body weight!!!! (and I only need to lose another 0.5pounds til my BMI is healthy again, oh I am so close I can taste it!!)

For the biggest loser challenge I have joined, I need to lose 2.5pounds by Sunday. Taking a slightly different tack this week. There are 3500cals in a pound of fat, so I need to burn (3500x2.5) = 8750 more than I eat in next 6 days. That's a calorie deficit of (8750/6) = 1458 per day.

So, I'm gonna work out how many calories I burn each day (got a cool website that does it for me!) and count my food calories carefully. So it doesn't matter too much if I have a day of eating 2000cals, as long as I do so much exercise to burn it all off and more, to keep my calorie deficit!! And it doesnt matter if I do no exercise one day, Ill just have to eat less to maintain the deficit. Obviously I'll be somewhere in the middle most days!!!! In theory it should work, just depends if my body does what the maths and biology say it should!!!

I'll keep it up and post on here every day and see if my theory works!!!

Hey all!

First of all, please excuse any spelling mistakes/silliness in this post, it is 3am here in UK and I just got back from a looooong night and morning drinking and dancing and being generally naughty and I am still drunk right now writing this, but I want to get it down before I go to sleep!

Too many,all alcoholic. approx 700 (a lot, I was so tempted to play down how much I drunk but I am gonna be completely honest with you guys!)

Food fantastic but alcohol, not my frientd! Never mind, I haven't been out for MONTHS so don't worry too much!! Not gonna beat self up.

Calories burned today
Including BMR, normal day to day stuff, plus almost 2 hours walking (in anticipation of how much I was gonna drink tonight!!), plus over 2 hours dancing in club = 3300 burned

Calorie deficit=2058-3300=1242
Goal is 1458 so I was 216 cals off today (thanks to alcomahol!) which in theory means I need a calorie dificit of 1674 to make up for it tomorrow, I'll decide int he mornning when my head is clear if that is a sensible goal or not!!

Thanks guys I am feeling really good bout this week! It's 11am here in UK and Ive worked out that if I go to the gym and do my dance dvd I can have a calorie deficit of 1674 today, which will make up for last night excess! (To be honest with you, it could have been much worse, clubbing night usually end up with kebab and chips, which would have been impossible to make up for today!)

A girl needs a good night out once in a while! Glad that you let loose. It's no fun to count those alcohol calories though is it? Haha- but I know what you mean, I never drink but when I do it ends with tonnes of pizza and potatoe chips... can't believe you resisted despite your state! You're a strong gal!
So have you got that 1/2lb for your BMI yet? Keep it goin!

Hey everyone thanks for your comments! God I love this forum :)

So, I didn't make it to the gym today for various reasons, so won't have reached my calorie deficit target, but I think I did quite well anyway today see what you think!

Total calories burned today = 2485

Calorie deficit = 1328 - 2485 = 1157
(supposed to be 1458, or 1674 if I wanted to make up for yesterday. So missed both targets, but I still think I did quite well. I would have met both targets if I'd been able to make it to the gym!)

I'll weigh in the morning, hopefully I'll have managed to lose another 0.5pounds since Monday (thats 2 days) in which case healthy BMI yay! I'll let you know either way :)
 
I am healthy!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well, I did it!!!!!

This morning, my BMI is officially within the healthy range. First time in many months!!!!!!!! It is a good feeling, although a slight anticlimax, coz my scale is TERRIBLE!!!! Not v accurate I think, and the needle wobbles about all over the place, and the dial is so small I have to kinda crouch down to see it, which makes the needle wobble even more! So have spent the last 10 mins balancing onthe scale, trying to get the needle to stay still, and figure out my weight! Finally decided it was somewhere between 149-149.5 (0.5-1pound down since Monday) Which means my BMI is 24.8 or 24.9 ie healthy!!! (only just though). My starting BMI was 28.

Anyway, gotta get going to the gym!! Keeping it up, I love all you guys so much, I'm sure the reason I have not given up yet (this is the longest I have EVER stuck to weight loss plan!) and have no intention of giving up (I'm in the commitment cluB!) is all the support I get on here so THANK YOU ALL SO much, and I am paying it forward as much as I can!!

08/11 and 09/11

Hey!

Well, I can't be bothered to post detailed calories today! They have been slightly high the past 2 days, hovering about 1700, but I have done SO much exercise, a boxing class AND water aerobics yeaterday, and the gym this mnorning, plus an hours brisk walk a day, so I'm doing well!
