kelly's diary

I am enjoying my second day of waking up early and slept not too bad last night, taking my meds as prescribed. I feel like I am getting more out of life. Did many things this morning and it was only 11:30, usually I'm just getting going by then. I am looking forward to more days like this.

Went for a swim and I managed 25 minutes of lengths for 190 calories burned.

Drinking my fluid and wondering what to do next. Will visit some diaries.

Working a bit, would like to save for a digital camera, need about $200.

Walked for an hour, 6974 steps, 2.86 miles.

Came home and did some sun salutations and 25 crunches. Washed kitchen floor, cleaned bathroom, had a bath and shaved my legs (I don't know what for). Anyway, I'm all sweaty.

Sluggish this morning but I got my walk in.

Ate about 350 calories worth of rice crackers and two ounces of chocolate chips. Whoops. Feeling weak. Outside its cold and inside I don't have much choice in what to wear, well I do have lots of clothes but I'm not feeling good in my clothes. At least I'm warm and dry.

Take a bubble bath in your nice clean bathroom -

you're aware of how you're feeling so that's a good thing..

Ask yourself how you will feel if you do eat something you don't want to - how will you feel in 10 minutes - asking yourself that question should be enough to stop you.. .

I'm pleased with how I did today. So I ate those crackers, I just factored them in to my calories and I was surprised it kept me full for a long time. The rest of what I ate today was a small portion. Forgot what fitday said but I'm sure I'm well below maintenance.

The good thing was I didn't over do anything.

Gonna go visit diaries now.

Woke up bright and early today, 7 a.m. which is good for me, made possible by adjustment of medication. Boy, instead of coming around at 10, if I can keep this up it will translate in to at least a little more activity.

Coffee's on, I'm gonna read diaries, get tidied up and go an early morning walk.

This is so refreshing to be this awake and its not even 8 o' clock.

Hi Happy

I have been up since 7am...my computer crashed a few days ago and i had to reformat everything

last night we went to dinner...i got a baked potato (i havent been eating any potatoes) and just put salt on it, actually it was good....i also got shrimp scampi but they were very buttery so i was dabbing them on my napkin to get all the butter off...next time i will be specific when i order..anyway i think the waitress thought i was goofy as heck blotting the butter off my scampi......heheheh

but i did splurg a little

good job on the walking!!!!

woot woot woot

diet rootbeers to us :cheers2:

Well here's my new strategy for the upcoming year. I'm going to take my pills at 8:30, be zonked by 9 and wake up REFRESHED at 7:30. I keep saying it but it is a huge improvement in the quality of my life. I get more out of living.

Just a few more diaries and then I'm going for a walk. Gonna listen to a Luther Vandross Tribute CD with lots of great artists. Pace just right for me. Just enough to keep me going. But I will make a good effort.

Its raining out but not too bad, I'll take the umbrella and I'll be back before I normally even get out of bed!!!! HOORAY:)

Oh yea I'm gonna sign up for a swim class that starts on Feb 14 twice a week that will really help things a long. Can't wait.

I'm so happy to see you so motivated, Kelly! Isn't it great when we have those fantastic days when everything seems easier? I hope this will last long for you!

Swimming is great, I do that too sometimes. Moving is easier in the water and the belly is usually less of a handicap there. I hope you'll enjoy it!

Have a great weekend!

I am stoked. Just back from a brisk walk in the heavy rain - 10,711 steps or 4.39 miles and 25 crunches over my big belly.

And its only 11:20 a.m.

4 degrees Celsius here. Not even close to freezing. Sorry for all you folks in the deep freeze.

:waving:Hi there, fellow BC pal!

Good on ya for walking, even in the rain! Gotta love life on the West coast...you do enjoy things lush and green and beautiful as a result of all the wet stuff!

Have you adjusted to taking meds at a different time yet? I really think it could make such a pleasant difference for you!

Hope you are well,
ABBA

Just about off to bed here. Bed time snack one hard boiled egg and half a cup of plain yogurt with cinnamon. How boring.

Watched two movies today, haven't done that in ages.

Hope to have another good walk tomorrow. Kids coming over to record a movie for school or something.

Poor sleep last night. Still dickering around with meds.

Modified walk today, 2.5 miles.

Remembering what Wishes said that weight loss is eating less and that exercise is the icing on the cake. I'm pretty sure I can stick to my regime and my confidence is growing that I will continue to lose.

Houseful of kids right now. Gotta go.
