I havent noticed cym for awhile now...

So I have eaten at maintenance for a few days and now I'm feeling really good about going back to 2000 calories, or may be 1900 if I can do it. Anyway, I'm going to keep track of my food.

One thing I'm struggling with still is eating in the night. Last night, 1/2 cup of homemade granola. Over 250 calories. Its sort of a trigger food for me. But I like how filling it is in the morning and easy and a chance to eat seeds.

Weight holding at 181. I'm so proud of this.

I am charting the number of calories I eat over the next two weeks.

Howdy Kelly,
Your are doing great and getting your cals back
up tp a comfy levele!Your almost in the 170's ,Keep up the gr8
work,Tammy

Did not eat in the night last night. Yeh. When I woke up I just said to myself, "Thank you (I'm losing weight)" and went to the bathroom and got back in to bed as quickly as I could. I told myself I needed sleep, not food.

Yesterdays calories were high because I had to add on late night granola snack, plus I made a pasta salad with LOTS of roasted veggies. I ate two cups because of all the veggies and the calories on fitday looked too high to me.

I discovered that pasta salad is not all that filling, esp without protein. Not a good diet food but I had to use what I had in the house.

Today will be better.

That's awesome Kelly that you were able to avoid the late night munchies!! That's a big start, I'm so proud of you!! If you keep that up, I'm sure you'll have that scale moving in no time. I agree anything with pasta in it, is probably going to add up to some high calories, even with all the veggies. But, I love pasta too, so it would be hard for myself to say no to that. Hope your day is a good one

Hi Kelly!
I used to have a big problem with eating at night as well. It really helps me to drink hot green tea or oolong, but not too much because of the caffeine. The warmth of the tea can really make you feel full and satisfied. Then if for some reason I still want to eat I'll go and cut up some carrot sticks for a light snack.

Good luck with the night time eating, it can be hard but you can get over that hurdle!

Howdy Kelly,
Yay on going to bed instaed of nightime eating I had a seriuos taco bell attck lastnight and went and made me a reduced fat creamcheese bagle instead(140 cals)then hopped on here and went to bed it is tough but can be done!I love your new plan.:) Goodluck and let me know how it does for you,Tammy

I am frustrated. I eat my calories and go to bed usually a tad hungry. Then in the night I get in to the homemade granola and I have to add those calories on the next morning. Well I finished the granola last night, probably about a cup, which is nearly 600 calories.

I know, people will say ditch the granola, but the good thing is it is quick and nutritious as a breakfast, my son loves it, and well, I love it too.

Maybe I will try making a small batch, a "breakfast" batch. I was making a large quantity of it and had so much on hand.

Rode my bike 2 hours yesterday and 2 30 minute walks as well.

Feeling a bit down in the mornings when I wake up these days, yesterday too. Exercise saved me. Wondering what I will do with my life when my boys are gone from home, which seems to be already happening, although my youngest is just turning 15, it seems I am seeing him less and less. Must get out the door today.

Kelly, you will attract good things into your life after the boys are gone. I can promise you that. I think you've hit on it. Make smaller batches of the granola.

Howdy Kelly,
Yeah the kiddies grow up too fast..The gronola
sounds yummy but like you said maybe have a smaller portion and some
fruit with it?Hope you feel better and way to go on that LONNNNNNG
bike ride I am week when it comes to actual bike riding if I am not
comfy I can't do it lol and my big butt is way to uncomfy on a bike lol.
Have a gr8 weekend tAMMY

Am making a gift to my son of a batch of his favourite granola. It is OFF my food list. He can take it home to his dads place. I will stick to my protein shakes. Tonight I will try a glass of water by my bed instead.

I really want to see the 170s. Its coming soon, I can feel it.

I am sure u will! Soon the 160s too!
the glass of water by bed is good idea.... i keep a bottle with me on the bed (i stay on upper deck) and i hurt myself sometimes when I rolled over it in the middle of the nite lol.
hv a wonderful nite. can try taking up new hobbies as your kids grow up so u dun get bored. :)

Howdy Happy :)
Sounds like a gr8 plan I am sure 170's is there it
will show up in a day or so! I usually try fruit or my 40 calorie
popsicle before bed along with water and you get satified without
all the bedtime calories.Lol I love the take the gronola home with ya I wish I can do that with alot of stuff in my house but my lil ones loves there treats just have to hide them from mommy haha.Have anice weekend Tammy

It is coming soon Kelly, believe in that!! And believe in you! I'm working for the same goal, and I'm not about to give in anytime soon. Have a great weekend!! That's so sweet of you to make that treat for your son. AHHHH, your such a great mom Kelly!
Kim

1850 calories today, 1.5 hr bike ride. Low cal day forme.

My new mantra: (Thanks BigDave)

This process is long and takes dedication and the ability to fall and get back up again.

Hey Kelly your mantra is perfect. I never wrote it down, but I post it enough. I think that the trick isn't staying on the wagon its getting back on as soon as you fall off.
