kelly's diary

There is a walking group in my town, they meet at 8:15 which is early for me but I'll try. I tend to go to sleep late. Need to go to sleep earlier and get up earlier. Need to form new habits.
The sun is out at 8:15 - get your behind out too... don't make excuses - do it...

It takes 28 days to form a habit, that's 28 days of consistent behavior - put a star o on a calendar every day you do something to contribute towards the new habit and soon it will be yours.

Glad you are back on here & if you lost it before, you know what to do to lose it again. We can get these pounds off. My jeans aren't fitting as good as they were before the holidays either.

As for the pedometer goal. I used to have a set amount, but for now its just do more steps than I did yesterday. Life just seems so hectic lately its hard to fit in the exercise, but Mal is right, I should just get up & do it.

Good luck with your day. I feel especially tired lately too... maybe its the extra pounds I have put on or the crud I have been eating that got them there! eek.

Hey There Sexy!! I'm so happy your back in action again, I've missed you in a HUGE WAY! It's going to take some time to get back on track, but the first step is recognizing you need to get started and then just take it a day at a time from there. I think I can speak for several people on here, when I say this month was a rough one! It's hard during the holiday's ONE to eat real well, especially with all the friends and family gatherings, and TWO to fit in exercise with all that is going on around us. But, it is now just about behind us all and time for us to refocus and get back into gear! I'm ready, I'll say that for sure! I've missed the gym big time the past few weeks, The first week of December I was sick with a bad sinus cold, it left me week by 3pm, then right as I was getting better week 2 we ended up with a huge ice storm here and I was without power for a week, then the next week Christmas and Aunt Flo showed up, LOL LOL If it's not one thing, it will be another right? LOL anyways, I see everyone here is ready to get going next week and I'm really excited that you too, will be joining in so we can ALL keep each other motivated and going! Hope your weekend is a good one, and if I don't get the chance to come back by before hand HAPPY NEW YEAR sweetness!
Kim

Thank you so much everyone. My brother is arriving from Calgary in an hour so I don't have much time to respond but I will.

Saw a photo montage of our family last night and saw my size. Oh well. I ate veggies all night and really filled up on the fibre and had a good day.

Thank you for the warm welcome. It is good to be back among friends.

Cerella, good to see you and let me know when you can come.

Luckily my friends and family see past my weight.

good for you eating the veges! Wow will be awesome seeing your brother - how long has it been ?

I love family gatherings , so long as its the nice members of family (that brings it down from 6 to 2 ..)

HAPPY NEW YEAR TO YOU SWEETNESS!!

May god bless your family with lots of love, great health and happiness in 2008. I'll be back by to check in on you next year!!

HUGS AND LOVE!

Happy New Year!

aren't pictures the worst reality checks? Saw one last night & it was shocked.. I thought I was looking good then bammm oh yeah... I have more pounds to lose than I was thinking. Sometimes in my head I feel like a normal healthy weight. Oh well, we will do great in 2008 & be looking fine by 2009. Thats my motto of the moment!

I know I have a lot to lose but I have walk/jogged the last four days in a row. Its been hard but rewarding. Set a new ticker today.

My one year wlf anniversary is on January 7. Net loss of ten pounds. Am starting this year ten pounds lighter than I was last year.

I am finding the taste for exercise again and look forward to feeling better soon.

Lovely family reunion. Stayed up till 4:30 am playing card games. Rummoli, Canasta, crazy eights, Hearts and Blackout Whist. 3 glasses of Asti Spumante.
Inlaws, nephews, brothers, sister, girlfriends, sons. Great time.

Can't wait till the jeans fit better. Uggh.

Congrats on the ten pounds & being dedicated for a year!

I know I have to remind myself that I am lighter than I was this time last year now & then. Just too easy to want to be lighter sooner & start thinking about how I have been at this off & on for a year... why isn't it all gone already? Then I remember how long it too to put all this weight on & I have to be thankful that I am in a downward slope over all.

Those jeans will be fitting better before you know it. :D

Gonna go get my work out clothes and cds ready for tomorrow morning. Gonna do it again, my fifth day back at it. Waiting for the right words to come to get me started on ab exercises. When I finish my walk run I do some sun salutations to stretch. It would be a good time to do some abs too but my belly is so big I just don't know how to begin. I have no tone there at all. Please somebody help.

Hi :) I'm new here :) I read the last few pages of your diary and really liked them. I'll take the liberty of coming here and say hello from time to time.

Have a great day!

Today my calories were low at 1685. I ate 1/2 cup low fat cottage cheese (100 calories) before my run instead of my protein smoothie which is over 300 calories. It helped space out my food and I am finishing with a higher deficit.

 wow 66 days until the big race??Congrats on the
wet yucky walk, shows how motivated you are..Your calories
look gr8 and coodos on getting the cottage cheese down I try
to eat the stuff and I guess the texture gets the best of me.
Hope you have another wonderful day Tammy:grouphug:
