Great job so far! I really love days when I burn close to 1000 calories. I feel really accomplished but of course they don't always happen. I burned about 550 today and it felt pretty good too :)

Any exercise you get in means a lot so be happy with what you get done:) It's all a big accomplishment!

Like we're all realizing, losing weight is not one big choice -- it's thousands of little choices that all reinforce each other.

Wow, TomO, its almost like something I once read confusious said...or was it in a fortune cookie *scratches head* I can't remember but its good thinking anyways.

step aerobics/interval training 201 calories
40 minute walk there 90 calories 291 cals exercise so far today.

Boy its going to be a challenge to get a 300 calories deficit 12 days in a row to lose a pound. This is a lot of work.

And don't be discouraged if the pounds don't melt off exactly in accordance with your deficit. I've been on a plateau for 20 days now, and have racked up a 9,000 calorie deficit. I know eventually I'll break through it, and probably drop 3 pounds in one day, and stay there -- to my next plateau.

That's just the way it works sometimes.

Just keep on doing the right thing, and you'll get there.

Yes, it's a lot of work. But it sure beats being depressed about being fat.

Good for you!
 
stick on some chooons and have a dance..disco dancing burns loads of calories according to fitday. you get to burn cals and have fun :D

Am following Steve's advice that maintenance for someone my size is about 2250.

Interval/step class
40 minute walk for 300 exercise calories total
Total daily calories burned at least 2541
2341 calories consumed
200 calorie deficit

Plateaued at 189-190 but I did see 186 for one day last week.

WOW sounds like your really gettin into this Kelly :):):) Great job and it feels great to burn 1000 cals been there done that a few times :D:D:D Exercising your butt off and eating well will get yout o were you wanna be in no time!!! You go girl!!!

I think it's great reading over what you are doing, and TomO is right about the deficit not making sens sometimes, especially early on in the process. Essentially, we can be adding/toning muscle which makes it look like we aren't losing weight, but we are still losing fat, which is what counts :D

One way to counter that confusion is to use multiple ways of measuring your successes. Like, say... Measurements? :p

aerobic workout

Did my aerobics class this morning. Walked to and from. Included 5 painful minutes of skipping rope.

Would like to do hot yoga. 1 1/2 hours in a 100 degree room doing yoga poses. Tough. The sweat pours, the heart goes crazy. I would probably just have to lie there in my underwear. You don't feel good afterward in the early stages. $199 for 20 classes. That would be a good goal to garden for. 14 hours of gardening.

Ate 2700 calories yesterday. Couldn't get full.

190 today. Got a weight loss compliment on the way home from class today.

So that's gotta be progress.

Today, 5 min. of skipping rope, next week 6 minutes, next year 60 minutes.

One step at a time.

Am remembering eating butter from the brick. Spreading it on thick on rice cakes so that it would take lots to fill in the little spaces. Butter, butter. Bowls of buttered popcorn. Now all that butter is sitting on me. But I will burn it off.
