Buffalo Chik Strips are so good1 I just bought some. You know what else is strangely good-Morningstar Veggie Corn Dogs. I never thought I'd eat a corn dog, but the Morningstar ones are good and only 150 cals each. You're doing so great!

alright... it is going to be soooo hard to keep eating healthy while i am home... Tonight for dinner, my mom made this toasted ravioli w/ her special tomato sauce (its very very sweet) and cheese bread... no veggies... then we all had buster bars for dessert... i either need to start cooking for everyone else, or only eating half of the food I'm given... and then fill up on veggies before. I need to go grocery shopping and load the fridge with veggies and fruits... there was NO stuff to make a salad in the house and only three bananas...

on the other hand, my family really needs help getting their own health in order... everyone wish me luck as I try to transform their eating habits this summer!!!!

oh... and i went to the grocery store and bought lots of good stuff like asparagus, lettuce, spinach, tomatoes, apples and strawberries... also cottage cheese and yogurt.. the fridge looks so much better now... i think my family has been living on frozen pizzas for a few weeks... My mom works full time and goes to school full time, my dad works and farms in his spare time, and my brother has soccer practice and electric car activities on top of his school... so no one is ever home...

I'm really excited b/c i am going to cook asparagus and salmon and some new potatoes for dinner tonight... I can't wait!!!!

Sounds like you had a great grocery trip! Don't you feel great going through the conveyor belt with all the healthy food, rather than crap? I'm always so proud of myself. Wow, maybe I'm just a dorky loser...either way, I hope your dinner came out good and I hope your family appreciates your efforts!

On the up side, i'm really just guessing at the calories in the kolaches and in the potluck for lunch - i'm hoping that i'm overestimating the numbers, but really I have no clue - I could have eaten much healthier and not had the pasta salad, but i don't think i had a large portion of anything I had.

I had no idea that these tacos had so many calories - had taco bell tonight b/c my boyfriend always gets tacos with his bro on fridays... i just learned when i checked the website however that you can order them fresco style - without the cheese which cuts back on lots of the calories - i'm going to have to do that next time we have taco night...

I really need to stop eating fast food w/ my boyfriend - i need to sit down and talk with him about it. I have been doing okay about buying salads and not eating all of the toppings, but it is just so unbelievably tempting to want to get french fries or a nice big bacon cheeseburger when he is eating all of that yummy food. grrr..
