I'm actually contemplating buying a bathing suit this summer....something I haven't done in about 20 years. And on top of that...I'm actually looking forward to wearing my new bathing suit without a tee shirt on top! The thought is still a little scary but I think I'll be happy with the results.
The scale is totally playing tricks on me. I stepped on it last night and it said 157.5 (knew that was totally wrong) and this morning it said 167--so yeah, the scale must think it's hilarious to project the wrong numbers. I guess I'll just have to wait until the scale starts behaving again.
Oh Oh Oh! I have some irony for ya'll! Remember how I said that I hated staff development b/c they always suck, and how a guy in the district did a horrible presentation this last time----well I know for a fact that our next staff development isn't going to suck, why you ask? or perhaps you've already guessed....Wahoo, lucky me! I get to do a presentation on January 31st. I'm actually looking forward to it, I really want to get these other teachers to be motivated to make their band programs into typical programs--no more excuses of 'inner city', 'bad kids', etc... If I can do it, so can they and yes...it's freakin' hard, and yes you do have to do things 'outside the contract' but if you want a great band (or even a sucky band) you've got to work at it. So, at least I know 1 staff development day this year won't suck.
