K1nS03 weight loss diary

ok so back from shopping, picked up some scales, weighed myself AND ive had quite a shock actually. Im currently at 16 stone 13lb (237lb) which is alot more than I thought :( kinda gutted but hey, at least im starting now :)

So im feeling pretty miserable right now, I wanted to go swimming this evening so I dug out my cossy only to find out it doesnt fit now. Not even close. We're quite low on cash atm now aswel so its not like I can just nip out to the swimming baths and buy one. Nowhere else will sell them (shops) until summer is closer so im really annoyed. Think ill just go out for a walk instead.

hey!! its a good thing u measured your weight - now you can see the results:eek:))
i m 221 lbs - 15st 11 atm...but i was 234 lbs the beginning of january.
to be honest from the second week it slowed down to 2lbs a week.
So dont worry - you keep up the good job and you drop the pounds!!! You have started it - it can only get better!!
Swimming is soooooo good for you!! so try to get a new one if you can! it will pay off!!
well waking is good too!!! :)))
good luck!

Day three now. Its kinda catching up on me and I just want sweets :( I did buy myself some low fat crisps and some jelly with <10 cals in so maybe that will help. I gotta keep strong though, im guessing its going to become easier to stick to with time? Maybe when I start loosing that will keep me going :)

Do you like fruit? Apples and Satsumas have almost entirely acted as a replacement for choccies and sweets for me, though it took some time to adjust, they do deliver the sweet punch you're looking for though.

i use a food dehydrator and i dehydrate pineapples and some other fruit and eat them instead of candy or sweets.

I never really bothered with fruit before, its not that I dont like it, just always prefered sweets and crap lol. I have bought myself some banannas, apples and oranges now though, I just need to train myself to eat those I guess

Definitely! I honestly used to scoff, on an average day;

2 bars of chocolate (mars/snickers/topic etc)
2 bags of crisps (walkers chesse & onion/salt & vinegar)
2 500ml Bottles of Coke

^All of which are out of the window and replaced with 3-4 pieces of fruit per day, generally a couple of apples and a couple of satsumas/tangerines/clementines and the odd banana here and there, if I'm feeling adventurous I vary it up with pears, kiwis or strawberries, hehe. I still do drink carbonated drinks, I must admit, but always zero cal variations and much less than I used to. It takes some getting used to but switching out the chocolates and crisps for fruit (or other snacks like nuts etc) will become much easier to deal with after 2-3 weeks, which is about the time it takes to break/form a habit. Good luck dealing with that front :p

So heres todays foods etc. :)

Breakfast:
Bowl of special K with semi skimmed milk - 171 Cals

Abit more Cals today but ive been finding ive been feeling a little down. I spoke to some friends and they said that it may be down to the fact that ive had such a change. My body is kind of rebeling so to speak so maybe I shouldnt try to drop my cals by so much? Any advice? :)

Well done on picking up some fruit! I'm like you, I much prefer sweets and junk, but last week I picked up some fruit for the first time when I was doing the week shop, and quite honestly I wasn't looking forward to meals for the week. But I soon realised that I feel much better when I eat fruit, like there's no guilt for eating crap and I feel good about myself for eating healthy.

Give yourself time to adjust! :)

Thanks hun :) I love fruit when I do have it, I just get the feeling like I havent had anything, its not the same as having sweets lol. Ill get used to it though :)

I met up with my friend today and explained about the swimming cossy issue only to find out she has got a spare that she hasnt even worn yet, which I was welcome to have :D So I got it, tried it on and its perfect, not that I look good in it or anything... that will come in a few months ;) But hey, at least I can go swimming!!
