Mystic, Verobc, MrVee - thanks guys! :)

Quercus - thanks! I did have protein during the reboot - not in massive portions but enough I am certainly happy to eat solid food again! :D

Day 4 after juicing.

I am 0.4 lbs down from my weigh in day weight. I m really happy about it considering it's ToM.
Yesterday I was really active the whole afternoon -I spent hours outside! It was sunny & warm & I was loving it.

Funny, I actually feel slimmer. I still have to lose A LOT though - so it's a bit silly to say that. It's good for me to feel that way. It makes me more determined and motivated.

My mini-goal was to be 230 by the beginning of May. Well, that ain't gonna happen... but I have made a great progress & I am just trying to lose a few more pounds before May begins. I really think I should do another juice fast in the middle of May.

Today I am debating whether I should introduce back meat (in the form of chicken) or dairy (in the form of feta cheese). Decisions, decisions.
I will post an update later with the foods today.

Happy Monday y'all! :D

I imagine that feta will have a pretty high sodium content.

I'd opt for skinless chicken breast ahead of feta.

Only blue cheese and Roquefort cheeses are higher in sodium than feta cheese. These cheeses are rich in salt because of the methods used to make them. For feta, milk is curdled, and the whey is pressed out of it. This whey is then turned into brine by adding salt and water. The pressed brick of curds are placed in the brine to culture for at least six months. This process gives feta its wonderful sharp tang, but also imparts lots of salt.

Your ability to plan and then subsequently stick to that plan amazes me. I need to borrow just a little bit of that ability from you sometime!

Verobc - they are both yummy!!! I went with the harder option (for cooking that is) :) chicken!!

Omega - thanks for the advice - I did end up going with the chicken!!! skinless boneless :) & cooked! no oil added - so proud of me!

Laura F - Well thanks!! Sometimes I do totally lack the ability to sticking to my plan too! I wish I was more disciplined!

Mands - thanks!! I m really happy with the juicing results!

Mystic - thanks!!

Yesterday went pretty well - even though I cheated a little... i had a small piece of dark (well 60% mint) chocolate. Still overall I am happy how I did.
I made paradicsomos káposzta for lunch. It is made from green cabbage, tomato sauce, onion & some sort of meat. I added chicken. Well I did a simplified version - in the original, people do put oil & flour but it honestly doesn't change the taste - it only thickens the soup. Mine came out YUMMY.

It was beautiful weather with temperatures in the upper 60s (23C) & i went to the track for an hour of power walking. I felt so motivated - I listened to music & I planned up all sorts of future events in my head!!! I loved it!!

I also drove to a nearby attraction (hidden gem really) to take some pictures.View attachment 20615 View attachment 20616

Today I will have more paradicsomos kaposzta - got a lot of leftover - I made a lot! So I don't have to cook.
I am also planning to go to the gym later.

Good day!

Hey Justina! Great job on the juice fast and the HUGE results! That soup sounds awesome, too.
Keep doing your thing and stay on your healthy track.

Thanks guys for stopping by!

I had a very painful day yesterday. I was not feeling well.. (ToM) i tried to avoid taking painkiller until the evening. My husband was so worried about me - he wanted to take me to the hospital. So then I decided to take the painkiller. I am good now.

I wanted to go to the track in the early afternoon to do my walking - and I did go - but I had to come home & rest. I went back later when I felt better and did 3.5 miles in an hour - which for me is quite an accomplishment.
I felt really good about myself - doing the exercise despite the fact that I had a bad day. So yay.

I came home from the track - and I weighed myself. I was only 0.5 lb up since morning - which I thought was brilliant - by the time I went to bed I was 3lbs up!!!! without eating anything!!! All i had was water with my medicine & a cup of tea without sugar.
So I ended up with a 0.5lb gain in the morning. I know this is retention, so I am not even going to worry about it - this is probably the least amount of weight I ever put on during ToM.

Today I tried quinoa pasta!! It's actually quite nice. I had it in a Greek pasta salad - I wish I could buy it more often - too pricey for my liking.
I am going out to do some grocery shopping. :hurray: Yay!

I will check out diaries later.
