Justina: Back to square one - very excited & determined to do this right

Doesn't being a girl suck sometimes? Guys have no idea just how bad it can get :-( I hope that's the worst you have to deal with for a looooong time! And great job getting out to the track - it's easy to find excuses when you aren't feeling 100% but you didn't give in to that!

Hey lady - Sorry to hear you have not been feeling well! Cramps can be...the worst. You should feel even better about working out considering how much pain you were in! And also, kudos to you on the weight loss. That is amazing (esp. considering the retention!). You are just rocking it out!

Those pictures you took on your walk are sooo lovely! I want to be there right now!

Hope you have had a wonderful week!!

Good job on giving the exercise another try and getting it done! I am very lucky with my TOM. Virtually no cramps or problems, though I do tend to get a bit of a cold or something during that time. Hope the pain passes quickly.

Laura F, Mystic & Camila - thanks guys for stopping by. Being a girl sucks sometime - lucky Mystic that you don't have those problems.

I haven't been around much - got a bit upset the other day over the challenge - so I was childishly protesting by avoiding the site lol. Anyway, I try to be really diplomatic describing it :cuss: Too much drama for my liking & on a separate matter a bit disappointed for not being "the person who lost the most weight" due to last minute new rules. Over 9 lbs loss.. oh well - it is really not a big deal - just psychological.

I am doing well! I haven't gained back the weight I lost during the juice fast. I am planning on doing it again in May.
I am only 0.6 lb up - but it's still ToM - so I won't worry about it.
This week i went out on the track every single day and did my hour walk. I really gotten into it. Yesterday after doing my hour & went to the gym & did some further exercise : sit ups, leg exercises, arm exercises, generally toning exercises.
I am not sure whether I can make it to the track today - there is rain in the forecast & the track could flood really bad - to the point that they close it down.

There is strawberry fest this weekend - I am really excited about it ! I might even make something naughty, like a strawberry tiramisu :) I will see.

TODAY I am having:
B: Peaches!!! (they were on sale)
L: Big plate of chickpea-eggplant salad
S: Pistachios, fruit, pickles
D: Juicing (haven't juiced since my fast)
E: Track/gym - depending on the weather

Great job on not regaining waht you lost during the fast! Also working out while you are in pain wow!!! You rock!

Peaches?! Ooh, I am jealous! I won't see decent peaches around here for another 3 months. I may even make a drive to N. California this Summer and grab a few flats of peaches and apricots... because nothing beats them when they're in season.

Great job on maintaining you big loss! (Between you and me... I thought you should have been the biggest loser, too. I disagreed with the decision that you only measure from the lowest point you've reached. If you got dinged for gaining the weight-- which you did-- then you should credit when you lose it again). Anyway....I digress.

Keep it up, Justina!

Hey lady - I actually have not been very active in the challenge, either. I'm still doing my healthy lifestyle but am finding that perhaps I've outgrown the challenge. The mini challenges, at least, are not particularly useful to me. Having the goal of exercising an hour each day and drinking my water is enough for me, haha. My life just feels too hectic to maintain yet another checklist of arbitrary things that may or may not be of benefit to me. It has actually contributed to more anxiety for me! I'm not sure. I honestly have not posted over there in awhile now...just read up on everything...sorry that all happened. I am with Don on this one...But seriously, 9lbs....is amazing. And even more so that you've been keeping it down! I am in awe of you :) I'm currently 1lb up from my 3-day juice fast...so feel good about that! Haha :)

Strawberry fest sounds sooo fun! I want to go :) I hope you have a heck of a time!

You are doing amazing! Keep it up! You are one of the people I look forward to conversing with most on here! A good portion of my success is due to your consistent support and friendly conversation :) In a few words...thank you!

mmmmm strawberry tiramisu sounds good. I'm guessing they would not mark you as highest loser because you fasted to lose weight? WHATEVERRRRRR! you lost 9+ lbs:party:

Vero - thanks so much!!

Don - thanks for your support! I really appreciate what you said about the challenge :) The peaches were so good!!! Oh I could eat tons of them - lol - one of my fave fruits. Now I am onto strawberries today!

Camila - thanks for your support lovely - I really appreciate it! I am so happy you joined - it's great to have someone here who eats fairly similarly to me. :) The challenge got over-complicated - I think San is listening to the complaints - and will restrict the mini challenge to 1 a week instead of 2/3 for different points - it was hard to follow. I really liked the previous challenge because I met some cool people - but this time around I already know the people in my group - so we are supporting each other on the diary threads anyway - and half of the people didn't even show up.
Thanks for your kind words - great that you consider me inspiration.

Xenon - thanks for stopping by - I explained the challenge thing on your thread.

It was weigh in day today - & I weigh the same as last week!! 248.4
I am really pleased about it. It was tom last week - so I couldn't have asked for a better reading on the scale.

The weekend has been going pretty well so far (despite rainy crap weather) This morning we went to the strawberry festival & got loads of strawberries - still figuring out what to do with them! We ate a lot already - there's nothing better than local produce!

Today I wasn't really hungry. I was ...wait for this... CRAVING SALAD!!! I was like wtf? Me craving salad? what's wrong with me?
Anyway I didn't really have a "proper" meal before 4pm. We went to the gym & did some serious weight training with free weights& machines - then I walked a mile. By the time we left the gym it was pouring down with rain.

I made Greek pasta salad for lun-der (lunch+dinner - I wish there was a name for it) & we juiced a lot (we had so many vegetables in the fridge - I didn't want them to go bad) so the juice will be great for "snacking" during the weekend.

I am thinking of strawberry smoothie...mmm with mint! too bad I am not hungry - hahaha! I hope the strawberries keep until tomorrow.

Have a great weekend you all!

Congrats on staying the same through your TOM. That's tough, so great job!

As for the lunch and dinner word combo... I've always preferred linner. lol!

I think I'm going to with 'lupper.' I end up eating lupper quite frequently on the weekends :)

So many fresh strawberries sounds amazing! I love desserts in the summertime with fresh fruit. I feel better about that than I do about eating a chocolate lava cake or something, haha.

Thank you guys!!! :grouphug:

Thanks for the ideas for the combo of lunch& dinner!! I defo need a word! I have it so often!

So we got:

- Dunch (Dinner+Lunch)
- Lupper (Lunch+Supper)
- Linner(Lunch+Dinner)
- Sunch (Supper+Lunch)
- Luner (Lunch+Dinner)

I wonder which one will catch on! HAHA!

Yesterday I was doing tons of exercise!! I really got into exercising - finally - about flippin' time - after 4 months!! I think I can start to see some change in my appearance & it gives me tons of motivation!!

Today I made kaposztás kocka for lunch - it's a pasta made with green cabbage! I loved it! I haven't had this since last summer & this is the first time I made it myself. Deelish!
I also had some pickled anchovies! Yummy - right before my workout routine!

I walked 2 miles on the outside track. Then I went to the gym and did 20 mins on the elliptical. I finished in the training room:
-situps, pushups, weight exercises, etc...oh I really haven't a clue how they are all called - but I did a good workout.
I am pretty pleased with how I am doing.

Have a nice week everyone!

Isn't it amazing how the body can change!? Seeing those changes is definitely motivating. So great that you are getting into exercise! Eventually you will wonder how you ever lived without it. Hope you have a great week ahead! Keep up the great work!
