Justina: Back to square one - very excited & determined to do this right

Justina, you doing so well with all the exercise!!! Your weight will start going down, down, down if you continue in this fashion. But you can do it!!! GO GO GO :)

Well thank you guys! I am still doing well. I was a bit naughty yesterday - well just a little - plus a I worked my butt off in the gym - so I deserved a small drop on the scale this morning. :D

Yesterday I made black bean burgers for lunch: It had quinoa, pepper, onion, rolled oats as main ingredients. It turned out pretty good. I had it with wild rice & cucumber salad.
Then the naughtiness began: I had small frappucino light in SBs & a triple chocolate cookie. AND i had a a bounty (chocolate covered coconut bar)
Then again I skipped dinner. I just had a lemon water.

I went to the hairdresser's yesterday - & had half of my hair chopped off! It feels so much lighter! I love it - it is still relatively long: little longer than shoulder length! It's kinda cute & shinny :) However sitting at the hairdresser's in front of a full length mirror did nothing to flatter me...I was like ugh!! I need another juice fast, quick! So I decided on doing one earlier than originally planned: probably on 7th May, and for 8-10 days.

Exercise: I did 90 mins!! i skipped weight training - I wanted to get a day rest from that. I did cardio: 30 min bike, 60 elliptical! Go me, right? :D

NO decisions should be made after sitting in front of the mirrors at the hair dresser. I got my hair cut last week and came out feeling like a sheered, bloated sheep.

Great job on all the exercise and eating so well, Justina!

I don't get the urge to exercise after going to the hairdresser but I do end up wanting new makeup. Generally some sort of concealer to cover up those dark circles under my eyes. But then I see my new haircut and usually forget! GREAT job with the workouts, and who cares about the naughty treats? We all need some sweets sometimes, and we know that you've been doing awesome on the food front these days.

I like that you can treat yourself and not fall off the wagon completly!!! sometime if I have one bite,,,,I get so far off the wagon that I can't see it!!! Nice workout!

Hey you guys, thanks for the support! :)

First of all what does pizza advertisement do on a healthy/weight-loss forum? Lol - usually they are health related - today it was for take away pizza - boohooo!!

Anyway - great day exercise-wise: I did 3 hours in the gym - this reminds me of my old self 2 years ago back in Spain...Oh i love revisiting that old self - maybe turning my newself into a gym-addict!!! It would certainly help my case.
It was not 3 hours of hard core exercise - I broke it down:
75 min - treadmill (walking)
30 min - weights, situps, leg exercises, planks etc etc
75 min - elliptical
I am well happy!

Food: I had ezekiel bread for breakie. Then for lunch I made tomato soup from scratch & krumplis tészta (my guilty pleasure) - potato-pasta dish - hence my need to extend my stay in the gym - lol!!!

Anyway I m having a salad for dinner! I am looking forward to it!!

I hope you are all good!

Wow the three hour workout. That's something. Guessing you'll be feeling it tomorrow.

I have yet to have a go at krumplis tészta yet. I know I can get all the ingredients though.

Good work on the exercise and diet. I may never catch you now, which makes me very happy.

3 hours?! Wow! There's no way I could do that, and if I did, I wouldn't be getting out of bed the next day...haha! Great job, Justina! :)

Thanks guys!! I really appreciate your support!! :) You rock!

I have decided to make Friday my weigh in day again - I prefer it - I changed it because of the challenge - but since I m not whole-heatedly in it anymore - I just weigh in for it - but make Friday the official one.

So I weighed in today & ta-dam! 246.8! New low! I am loving it!! :hurray:

I can't believe I finally lost some weight (without the juice fast)

Unfortunately this weekend will be the REAL challenge - we are flying to Michigan to attend a wedding, plus eat out with family for multiple times...! I want to have a good time - but I don't really wanna screw up the hard work I have done..
So it's gonna have to be portion control.

Yesterday was great - I did 2.5 hours in the gym again. 30 mins was weight training with dumbbells, push-ups, situps, planks etc., the rest was cardio.
I am not feeling it today...I think my body is getting used to the exercise..which is defo a good thing.

So my lovelies you have a good weekend - I will be back on Sunday night!!

You are incredible. Seriously, your progress gives me hope and encourages me to keep going. I love that you are turning into a gym-addict! Sorry the black bean burgers turned out messy...that's too bad! I saw that some others who commented on the recipe had tried rolled oats. I'll have to try that sometime :)

Keep up the amazing work.

Wow, that's a lot of exercise. Just remember there is such a thing as over training so make sure you really pay attention to your body, and make sure you fuel your body well for it too! I'm sure you'll do great over the weekend even if it might be a bit tough.

Hope you have a GREAT weekend, Justina!

Mystic is right... pace yourself! Of course this doesn't mean much coming from me considering the high octane week I'm just finishing. ;)

Hey you guys, thanks for the support.

I appreciate your concern for over exercising - I won't - I promise. I just think about how much exercise I used to do before moving to the US. That's what I am trying to simulate a bit. When I do 3 hours in the gym - one hour is walking - or light cycling - something that is not necessarily part of proper exercise - just part of a lifestyle I no longer have. I only do 30-40 mins weight training - which I think is normal. The rest is cardio.

Having said the above - I did not do much exercise over the weekend. Walking yes - I tried to be active - and a bit of dancing. Yes, it was the wedding weekend in Michigan. & I defo did not exercise enough to justify my eating. :willy_nilly:
The food was so good at the wedding (mostly Italian - it was an Italian wedding) - plus I had bagels for breakfast & the other day eating out for breakfast.

At the airport I was trying to be sensible & get some healthy options: veggie wrap - but again - who knows what hidden ingredients lurking there.

& since it was 5 de mayo - we went out to have Mexican last night..

So there - a food-filled weekend. But I knew it too well that this weekend was coming. So I had fun & no regrets. I am back on track today. I had fruit for breakfast, I am making my own lunch from scratch & going to the gym in the afternoon.

Tomorrow I am starting my second juice fast. I have not decided how long I will be doing it. I am thinking between 8-15 days. My goal is to do at least 10 days. I am hoping this time it will land me in the 230s.

I am 249 this morning - which is great - considering the weekend. 2.8 up. I can live with that. Besides for me it's always been easy come easy go - as long as gaining weight goes. I can get rid of it fast if i tackle it right away.

Have a great week!!!

Hi Justina, sounds like a great weekend. The 2 lbs is most likely water from sodium, so no worries there. I'm only going to say this one time so I don't sound like an old worry wart... but I do want to be honest and tell you that I worry (a little) about long juice fasts. There's no science behind my worry, just uneasiness about it for your sake. I'm sure you've done all your research and know the safe limits, so I'll defer to your better knowledge and trust your judgement. Just be careful, OK? Are you getting any protein during these fasts?

Alright, WorryMode Off. :D

Have a great week and keep us updated!
