Justina: Back to square one - very excited & determined to do this right

MrVee:
well, we buy it frozen or refrigerated. It doesn't taste particularly well when eaten thawed or just simply refrigerated. However, when I toast it, it tastes great - just like any other wholewheat bread. I really like it. My favorite is the sesame one.

Thanks Mystic!!! :)

OK, I may have to stop reading your posts. Kidding, of course.

Some of the food you eat looks fantastic... but I can't eat a lot of it because of the breads or rice.
I followed the link to Salmorejo and started to salivate. That looks REALLY good and I will have it at some point in the near future.

Thanks for stopping by with words of encouragement. You too are doing really well. Keep it up!

Hey Justina

Had to catch up on your diary. Well done on the 2lbs loss! Just think any loss is fat of the bums or legs or tummy. I'm interested in reading that article you mentioned about too much sitting down. Do you perhaps have the link?

Your food menu looks so delicioush! I would kill for a potato!

Keep going!!

Hey Justina- the museum/+window shopin' walkin sounds like a wonderful way to get some exercise in & fun...

~ will have to try the Ezekiel bread sometime- have seen it mentioned in many "healthy" reads...but never tried it- good to know it tastes better toasted...

hope U have a nice Sunday- keep up all the 'healthy" work - your scale is moving in the right direction ~

cheers,
maryann

I don't eat potatoes often - once every 2 months - i love it though!!! Too bad it's not diet food.

Thanks for stopping by Maryann! I like Ezekiel bread - bc it has no added sugar or oil of any sort - like 90% of bread sold. Let me know how you like it if you try it!

Thanks Lucy!! Mainly thank YOU for that recipe!! I made it today again!!!! :) love it!!!

More daydreaming today - lol. This time we went to home depot & another store - walking around and dreaming up our future home!! we even had heated discussions about tiles and windows!!! oh the fun!!! :biggrinjester:
So tons of walking involved again today.

Foodwise I was baking Lucy's one person flaxmeal cake again - it is so good. Nutritious, got fiber, protein & I share it with husband (who is happy!!! especially with the ratio) - 1/4 for me, 3/4 for him - so my portion is under 100 calories :)

Here is my menu for today:
B: Ezekiel bread & strawberry jam & herbal coffee
S: No snack
L: Homemade chicken fajitas with wholewheat tortilla wraps - yum-yum
S: Flax-meal cake & blueberries
D: Vegetable juice (carrot, celery, cucumber, ginger, apple, orange, lemon)

Exercise: walking - 2 hours

Keep it up Justina - you're doing great!

We also do the daydreaming story when it comes to our house - so I can definitely relate!!

Thanks Mystic, Anna & Mands - i <3 your support :)

It's REALLY warm here today. 23 C (72F). Uffff it's like British summer!! ;)

Not much to report today. I did a bit of anti-Valentine's day window shopping.(anti-Valentine's day - February 15 :p ) Lol. We don't celebrate Valentine's day - at least not buying into the whole commercial hype. Last year my husband sang me a song out of the blue - in Italian. That was priceless! :beating:
This year I am still trying to come up with something fun & creative.

Anyhow food today:
B: Ezekiel toast & sour cherry jam + herbal coffee
S: Small piece of dark chocolate (70%)
L: Rice salad
S: Fresh mango
D: Leftover from lunch (I made a huge bowl)

Exercise: It's gym time...Funny, i think i actually miss it...must be something wrong with me lol. :D

Hi Justina

I decided to pop in and have a read at your progress and it seems to me lady like you are doing very well. Keep it up and keep that wedding in mind and how great you'll look and even more so on how much confidence you'll have. My weigh in is sunday too (WOW) hehe, I can't wait until sunday even if I have only lost 2lbs I'll be happy as long as that darn scale is going in the RIGHT direction then I'm fine with that. Keep up the great work girl!

We only had 17 degrees and it was yucks! Raining too! How I wish for 23 degrees!

Great stuff on the gym!

Oh-la - tornado warning issued for today. Gosh - I m so not used to this place. & it's only the beginning of the season.
No basement or shelter around...hope it misses our place.

We only had 17 degrees and it was yucks! Raining too! How I wish for 23 degrees!

HAHA - You always make me giggle... :D

Scary day today - with the tornado alert issued - ugh - gotta love this place. I am sure if i had been born here and had family and friends here - would be a different story, but for now I am just counting the days & hoping to get out in one piece.
I never experienced this kind of weather - I much rather be dealing with snow!
Anyways.
Some good news. I got some DVDs from the library!! They have a LOT OF EXERCISE DVDs - all sorts - I am so glad I didn't order more. First I try a few see which one I like the most. I got 2 for now: stretching & one that looks like body sculpting. I don't have the car this afternoon - so I am excited to try them.

Food today. I did experimenting - I tried something new - and it did not come out the way i had imagined it. Next time I have to do a few things in a different way. Here goes the menu:

B: Ezekiel toast & cream cheese + herbal coffee
S: Banana
L: Salmorejo - a Spanish tomato soup - with raw tomatoes - not cooked - I usually absolutely love it but I just did not like the recipe I used. (too much garlic, onion, olive oil)
S: Blueberries & small piece of dark choco 70%
D: Sauerkraut soup
WATER & Herbal tea
Exercise: DVD.. :)

Hey Justina - keep safe with that tornado alert - ... it is scary....

Have fun with the exercise DVDs...always nice to mix things up & try something new -

The cold spanish tomatoe soup looks interesting- bit like pureed brushetta- tried a few tapas years ago on a spain/france trip... & starting to see some on menus here in Canada..maybe they are catching on over here...?...will keep my eye open for them..as a lot of them sound fairly healthy....

& Sauerkraut soup.... I like that one ! ... & I like just sauerkraut.... yummy...

have a good one Justina,
cheers Maryann

We get a few tornado scares around here too. I thankfully have never seen one, but they do hit around the city sometimes. Always scary, I always worry about my horse! Hope some of your exercise DVD's work out for you!
