Goal by August 15th
140 lbs or fat% under 27%

My weekend of festivities set me back a stunning 0.3 pounds (actually on my scales 0,1 kg.. The rest comes from rounding up the numbers in conversion...) which I just can't be bothered to complain about. I had mentally prepared myself to see maybe 1-2 pounds more.
Today I have a lot of work-work to do and I'm going to meet my trainer for an update on my weights program in the afternoon.
I've decided to keep an eye on my daily deficits, particularly because I need to be in good working condition (brain included ) for the next four weeks. This week I still try to lose some weight, next week I'm going to (at least temporary) maintenance, and hope to keep the measurements reasonably similar for a while.
And so the journey continues... ;)

Sounds like a good plan. Let us know what the trainer says about your routine going forward. Have you just started working with weights recently?

Hi Julie. It'll be interesting to see what your trainer says in light of Steve's contributions. You seem to approach this thing very analytically, which I of course appreciate. Have a great week!

Sounds like a great plan Jewels! I hope to reach close to the 150's by the end of August myself, it's going to be a lot of weight, but I'm going to do whatever I can to get there, I'm sure you will reach your goal line before me, because I'm still several pounds up on you, but I'll get there eventually and it will be nice reaching that line! 140's HERE WE COME!!! Have a very nice day today!

You really are good with your measurements. I tend to go purely by the feel of my clothes. I've attempted measuring myself but I seem to lose track of where exactly I measured the last time, which creates a continuity problem (e.g. my waist is where? Above the roll of fat or below it? :) )

I think you've got a balanced attitude to this whole programme, which I think is more important than everything else put together. I'm sure that not many people would understand why you're concerned about deficits ("Surely that means you're losing more weight!", some would say). I was at a severe deficit yesterday, thanks to my walk, and this has affected me brainwise today, as I've felt really slow and sluggish, so I know just what you mean..

I hope the trainer has something good to say...for his/her own good..we're watching with hawkeyes..

The updated program is there in the Harsh Truth thread being microanalyzed by Steve. Unfortunately I didn't get his feedback on the original one before I had the update meeting.
I had a three month period of weight training last autumn and now started again in the end of May.

Have a great week. I'm sure a lot of that weight will fall right back when you get in the swing of things.

I'm sure. 0.3 pounds is minimal after everything eaten and drunk during the weekend anyway. :D

I'm glad to see you're back again, Kim! I hope your groove class rocked today!
:)

Thanks Rhoda! I have this forum to thank of my current attitude... :D
The trainer was happy with my upped weights and changed some things I wasn't comfortable with. Now I only have to learn the new exercises.

Stats for Monday
Exercise about 600 cals
Cardio 25 min
Weights 45 min
Walking 30 min
Eaten
cals 1926
prot 145
carb 171
fat 72
fibre 37

The weight training was a bit half-hearted today, since we went through one set of each with the trainer and I returned to do some of the rest after we were done. Now it's the learning phase...
Don't know about tomorrow yet. My best friend is going to come to dinner in the evening. Haven't decided about the rest of the day.
Have a good Monday evening and nighty-night!
Julie

Great summer plan, I am interested to see how your measurements change in the next few weeks. It's exciting! hahaha thanks.

Rainy day here today.
I'm tired and a bit stiff and sore from Sun&Mon efforts so although I would've liked to go burn some calories before this evenings dinner with my friend, I'm not going to do that. I'll concentrate on work, housework, cooking and stretching and hopefully I can continue exercising tomorrow with a re-energized feeling. I have enough to do anyway, so I don't mind saving two hours in not going to the gym.
I'm wishing everybody a brighter day! :)
Julie

Hi Juliette,

How'd dinner go? Good on your for taking a break - your body will thank you for it today..

Some work related things to settle. Nobody's interested in anything in months and suddenly several people want everything done at the same time. Schedules, programs, things to arrange, people to call..
I managed to go to the gym, otherwise the day's spent working. And I'm not much nearer to the work being finished..
I hope you out there have had a more peaceful day. :)
Back sooner or later. ;)
Julie

Well, I've been on holiday for almost a month now, so it IS kinda unfair to complain about one day. Ok, let's call it 3-4 days, at current pace.
And I'm still eating and exercising as I was. I've been practising this for a month and as I'm just home working, instead of travelling somewhere makes all the difference.
I'm just annoyed of not being able to hang out here with you..

It's the worst thing when there's so much other crap to do and you can't hang out on WLF! But it's great that you're still eating and exercising well. :) Don't get too swamped with work.
