Juliette cross-training for Romèo

you go girlfriend :)

and we want a full report of the festivities - and photographic evidence of the skinny dipping of the fine looking scandavian men :D

Will try, but not sure how my photographer skills work in the shine of the Midnight Sun. Don't own an underwater camera either.. :rotflmao:

What a rip-off! Just try your best, that's all we ask. :p

I'm glad you're feeling so good about your successful weigh-in. You should! It always makes me feel good to hear that others are feeling good.

I'm glad to be of assistance there. :D I often try to find positiveness in others on my down days, so now I'm proud to spread my joy around!
:hug2:

I just noticed this, are your measurements seriously 38-29-38? Because that's pretty perfect. You are one curvy thing, I'm totally jealous! ;)

Aaawww, thanks!
:blushing:
:and very thankful for the compliment:
I'm 38.8-29.5-38.6 actually, but hopefully getting there.. Not quite Marilyn Monroes range any day soon. She is said to have been 38-23-36... Whew...

Her sizes varied, but 36-24-34 is commonly given as her measurements. Unreallistic for a lot of people, but at least not the 18 inch waist that starlets seem to have today.

Hey Julie, awesome job on the waist! I would love to get my waist down, its so important to one's health. I'm one for eating as much as possible without gaining, so I would think you have room to be eating a lot more. Do they have the resting metabolic rate test in your area? I found a dietician that gives the test and you get an exact reading on your daily calorie needs. No guessing with this test (you breathe into the machine for 10 minutes). On the other hand, I'm starting to get converted back to my old ways, just eating the healthiest I can and as little as possible (which still ends up being an awful lot) and letting the weight take care of itself. In any event, I personally think you'll do fine adding in some more calories.

Morning!
Cannon: I might have a chance then... ;) Actually I think there's not much more in my waist to disappear. My ribs are already visible above my waist, so I really can't even imagine what I would look like with further -4.5 inches off.
Sunnydee: I'm actually starting to feel a bit hot... No complaints there..
Blancita: I'm all for adding cals, for the simple reason that it would make my life easier and keep me in better shape long term. That's why I want to get some real info to build my plans on. We'll see what Steve and others have to say about the subject.

Meanwhile, here are the stats for Thursday:
Exercise
Walking 60 min 325 cals
Eaten
cals 1774
prot 154
carb 168
fat 53
fibre 38

And next time I'll be counting my cals on Sunday, maybe on Monday. We'll see how the Midsummer goes. :D

Hey Jules!

What's your goal weight if I may ask (in pounds??)?

Have a wonderful Midsummer. Hopefully the pics will include one of yourself??!

Hey Blanca!
My goal weight's somewhere between 133 and 138 pounds. I think. My ticker's set to 133, but my principle goal is fitness rather than a particular number.
There's a pic of me on page 18 (I think) on this diary. It's from 4 pounds ago.

I wish you the finest Midsummer ever!
I'm off to join the festivities and celebrations. We are going to have a big barbecue on the beach, eat, drink and be merry! :D
Hugs to everybody and see you later!
Juliette

Such a cute girl! You really look very nordic to me as an American :), with your long legs, blond hair and innocent face.

You have worked very very hard so I say "screw the diet for Midsummer and enjoy!". One day of not counting calories will not make a difference "in the long term".

It's great to hear that you feel hot. That's a wonderful feeling and you deserve it!
That's actually the first time I had seen your picture. You're so lovely! You look great. I hope you enjoyed the day's festivities to the fullest.

Thanks! Here I'm not considered to look very nordic at all.. I have brown eyes, quite dark skin (around here..) and I'm considered to be a brunette. Just goes to show that it always depends on the context..
And absolutely no counting yesterday. We had good food and wine, enough of both!

I did. Some more to go today, and we already had blast yesterday evening. And thanks for the compliment. :jump:

Kiss a Finn for me at the Midsummer would ya? (one with teeth)

Well that's still on my to do list. There was one very eager and willing candidate last night, not to my taste though... Plus a got text messages from an old flame (not that much to my taste either anymore).. It's funny how the holidays and festivities of different kinds bring our thoughts back to our pasts. And make some of us call/send messages/email people we haven't been with for a looooooong time, hoping to revive something truly past reviving. Two of my ex's seem to have this problem, my best friends' ex too.. We could check our watches by the arrival of these messages every holiday available.
We have yet to figure out why they do it and how could we possibly get them to stop. Not answering is not working. Neither is being really blunt and telling them to get lost. Any ideas?

Hugs to all of you!
Julie
