So last week I had the week off from exercise. I was just beginning to feel rundown, which is unfortunate considering I'm taking a week off after I move next week. I was hoping to last until the move and kill two birds with one stone; rest and get situated. Now I'll be taking rest when I don't really need it.
Such is life.
Training yesterday was good after the week off. It's amazing what planning can do in terms of programming and fatigue management.
I came in feeling much stronger than I had thought.
I could have pushed a lot more weight on these but this is what it looked like:
Decline BB Bench - 225 x 10, 6, 2 RP
Overhead Press Machine - 110 x 10, 4, 2 RP
Cable Pressdowns - 12 x 12, 8, 4 RP
Reverse Grip Pulldowns - 11 x 10, 6, 3 RP
Chest Supported Row Machine - 6P+50 x 4, 4P+50 x 10
RP = rest pause
P = plates

In other news, I finally started writing the book project I'd like to finish in this lifetime again. I've started and stopped now about a dozen times. I have a lot of things to express in my head but I'm better at being reactionary with my writing. For instance, I'm good (at least I think I am sometimes) at responding to someone on a message board or a client in the gym. I'm not so good at sitting down just to write. At least in my mind I'm not.
I'm very critical of a project such as this so who knows if I'll ever finish it.
I haven't worked on it for a number of months and last night was the first time I opened up the document. Things were flowing. Things have flowed before though and weeks or months later the document finds itself in my trash.
