** wonders why I hang out here**
Hi SteveReleasing a blog/vlog, eh? Sounds great, and yes oh course you help lots of people!
Maybe you can help me. The back of my right knee is perturbing me at the moment. TWO MONTHS ago, I think I might have strained it kickboxing or whatever. I don't even recall when it happened, which means it wasn't sharp pain or anything. AND it does not bother me at all, normally. But...... when sit, spread my legs out to stretch over one, then the other ,the left leg I can pretty much lay on, but the right leg I can only go half down before my muscle there hurts and doesn't allow me to stretch down. For two months it has been like this. I feel no pain whatsoever while running, weight training, or even Kickboxing, really, but I've lost the range of stretch that I had....and it has not improved at all in 2 months. I was trying Hanumanasa this morning
(Monkey pose, )
and of course I know I can't fully get into it, BUT the left side was almost there, the right side I could barely do the front splits AT ALL. What the hell can I do? I have not seen a specialist, and I looked on the internet, but cannot pinpoint what actual anatomy is screwed up.........
A quick test for PCL injurys is to sit on the floor and have someone gently push down right above your knee(distal end of femur) while lifting your foot at the ankle at the same time. If you feel pain in the back of the knee you have likely injured your PCL.
