Journey, Not A Destination

::gives steve a cookie::

hmm - you didn't drive your drunken butt home now did you? you're smarter than that... :D

i was gonna question why you were posting so early on the weekend mornings.. :D

No, another guy actually decided to come home with me who drove. I was sober by that time but I still didn't drive.

:: removes glare::

you're a good boy :)

awww but you picked up a stray boy and brought him home... like a stray kitty.. that's sweet.. ya could have left him with me :D

Dude... I like that! :)

I think the picture pretty much sums up how I feel and look the entire time I'm there! A disgruntled, sweaty mess! :) The photographer did a good job of capturing the true essence of Tyly at boot camp! Lol.

I liked the bikini pics better... but who in their right mind wouldn't!?

:p

Everything is great! Still coming to ATL next month? If so, can I hire you for a session?

I think I will be down there in October. Not next month, unfortunately.

Depending on schedule which I won't know until the trip is closer, I would gladly head into the gym with ya.

She's doing much better, thanks. Still not carrying me around but she's getting around. :)

Gym was good yesterday.... I'm sort of doing whatever I feel like at the moment, listening to my own body. Since I'm only getting two days in the weight room, both days contain a strength component but it's minute, just enought to maintain. Funnily enough though, I'm getting stronger even though I'm not really training for it. I think it's a matter of letting some fatigue that's accumulated over the months to dissipate.

Beyond that I'm doing a lot of core work and throwing in some higher work sets at the end... some compound, some isolation.

Still training full body.

Yesterday looked like this:

Squats -- 4x3 (this was only with 235, I'm still nursing my groin believe it or not and then 1x12 with 185.

Row Machine -- 2x5 with 3 plates + 10 on each side then 1x13 with 2 plates +10 on each side

Bench -- 2x5 with 250 which felt real easy then 1x15 with 185 which burned like crazy

I then did some fluff work for bis and tris... nothing serious. 2 sets of 12 for each. For bis I did lying cable curls which I absolutely love and for tris I simply did some pressdowns.

It was a strength day for core so I did a few sets of weighted crunches then moved on to reverse hypers.

I should be squatting waaayyyy more than I'm benching though. In relatively, it's not heavy at all.

Anything but being casual usually induces stress and I try and avoid that at all costs.

Unless you're talking about eustress.

:)

But I'm serious... eustress is important. People do all they can to avoid pressure in so many instances but in the case of eustress, it's often the fuel for persistence and accomplishment. It's a fine line for some, including myself, between stress and eustress. There are times I don't control my line of reasoning or thought and what was once eustress turns into a serious stress.

It's amazing the toll this takes on my, physically and emotionally.

Powerful stuff.

I just have this mental image of you stomping your foot "But I'm serious" lol not that I think you would stomp your foot lol but still
