Journey, Not A Destination

That's so boy scoutish of you... :D

that you and krista are a very cute young couple will definitely work in your favor - especially when you're so honest..

Are the current owners the original owners -or rather have the owned the place a long time? if that's the case then their morgage is probably paid off so everyhing they'd make on the sale of the house is pure profit - so a lesser price than their asking to get rid of it... is definitely an option.

And you know all this -i'm just trying to up my post count :)

I happen to know it is paid off and they have lived there a very long time. I also know they are extremely wealthy people who aren't hurting for money at all.

Oh yea, I also started my interview with Lyle McDonald this weekend. We are currently on question 4. I'm not sure how many questions I'll ask... so far he's been very generous with his time. I'll probably keep asking until he tells me to shut up, lol.

Again, if anyone has any questions they'd like me to consider asking... here's your chance.

I have a son that is now 2 years old; when eh was 3years old he hardly weighted anything mean 15-17 pounds..The doctors gave him all sorts of test and said everything from he's alergic to evrything to sistic fibrosis, to everything else..The final word was mal absorption...SAY he could eat 5 bowls of cereal or other foods and only get the food value of one that was for about anything..They tested ,tested and retested..They gave him foods, liquids, and I Vs then did bloodwork....He did not get the nutrition from the foods or whatever he had..MALABSORPTION... To this day he is still small but continues to eat like a horse...

I've been using yahoo radio for a couple of years for when I'm in the office. I've enjoyed it for the most part and the annual subscription is cheap.

I just found a new love though for internet radio.

I think it's

Free, very easy to use, and plays great music. Customizable too.

Anyone else use this?

I use Pandora and love it. I can't believe it's FREE!! When my ipod dies at work I log into Pandora.

Was this in reference to our discussion a week or so ago?

It's out of price range at the moment... that is unless I rearrange some things in my life which I don't think I'm ready to do. Supposedly though they are thinking about dropping the price drastically if they don't get any good offers soon.

It was built in the 1700s. Just an awesome property.

I'm stealing from Sensa's diary...just wanted to say good luck to you on the house hunting. If the house was built in the 1700's does it come equipped with some cool ghosts and a scary basement?

It's totally a buyer's market right now. I'd low ball them!

I hope... I love being scared!

I posted a couple of pics a page or two back... it doesn't look like a scary place at all.

Yup, that's about the only thing I have going for me with the deal. If it happens it happens.

To make you feel better...I bought my house in the summer of 2005...the peak of the decline. Now my 1200 sq ft home is under water $125K...wtf. That is what happens I suppose in the housing market!! It's a lot of ups and downs...good thing you are coming in on the down. Silicon Valley is so overpriced.

That is really the only reason I'm considering it. I know the value of this home compared to what it's listed at and what I'm willing to offer. There's a big discrepancy and it's the sort of property that I would hold on to for a long while so I'll make that ground back.

It's more the cash flow of it all and the idea that it locks me into my current job status of finance full time and training on the side.

You can totally do it if you really want to...I'm sure you know this as you are above the average stupid man on the street LOL. You just have to do a little budgeting and sacrificing on the toys and frivolous spend. :) I'd seriously take advantage of this market....

I feel ya. I've been saying to a lot of my friends, "now is the time to buy if you're going to!"

Now that it's on my plate, things are different, lol.

I know they shouldn't be. If I were to pick a price range of a house though, this would not be in it given my potentially uncertain future.

I hear ya!! I'm can't wait to see my mortgage jump in 2 years when the fixed rate adjusts....talk about uncertainties. You seem like a risk taker...come on now...you almost froze to death just a few weeks ago!! What's a giant mortgage got on that? LOL Worst case you go bankrupt and ruin your credit. hahah, I know...not funny.
