Journey, Not A Destination

Holy cow!

Do you think people will sign up? I would actually attend this is a lot of people sign up.....

I'll have to check the calendar when I get to the office tomorrow.

I think a lot of people will make excuses, like no money, too many family obligations, no babysitter, school, work, etc... That leaves the rest of us who are serious and are ready for what Vegas has to offer. lol

I think a smaller group will be just as much fun as a larger group. I'm happy either way.

For sure we have 4 of us coming and 2 maybes. It would be great for you to join us!! We'll see if we can get anyone else to commit in the near future.

You survived sleeping on ice, you can survive 2 nights in Vegas with 6 women!! LOL

That would be awesome if you would join us in Vegas! There are definitely a handful of us already committed to going. :) By then I should have the last of my 20lbs gone and should be ready to par-tay...It will also be a couple weeks after my marathon so I should be fully recovered and ready to get my groove on. haha

I might have to be in Atlanta for some stupid training thing that only comes around once per year. I still have to verify a) if I need it and b) when the next session is.

But I'd seriously consider Vegas. I love meeting new people and my Vegas trip slated for next month was canceled.

So what's new? Not a whole heck of a lot. I'm right now toying with the idea of getting a new car. My monthly payment on my current car is pretty steep considering how often I drive the thing. Plus, it's not a very practical car.

Fun, sure.

Practical, no.

I've been considering a pick-up truck actually. The new Toyota Tundras are real nice. Very fast for a truck and they're huge. Plus, all the windows go down all the way, even the rear-window which is a new feature for trucks. It's just sharp looking. And outside the realm of gas prices, it's a very practical vehicle.

It would be tough letting go of my car though.... so who knows. I suppose if I can reduce the monthly payment, that would be a motivator. I have to wrestle with the idea some more.

This week has been real busy and a bit stressful at work. On the finance side of things, I got into a huge fight with another adviser who works for us.... I mean huge. Things are smoothed over now but it was pretty ugly.

On the gym side of things, I've been picking up a lot of local clients and training at homes. It makes it so tempting to really push the business but I don't yet.

Plus, I'm still working on getting into that gym I mentioned earlier. I mean he hired me on the spot. But I can't quite figure out how I want to utilize the position. I'm so busy right now that I'm leaning towards simply using it for local clients who want to be trained in the gym and not working directly at the gym working on building up a client base via the membership there. I just don't have the time, I don't think.

This weekend Krista is gone... she has a bachelorette party in Atlantic City. Saturday I am meeting with a client way up near NYC to start her off on a training program. On the way back I plan on stopping in at a few dealerships to check out this truck and stopping in at a best buy to see what they suggest I do with the video camera we bought from them a few months back and Gordy froze on top of the mountain, lol. That should be interesting... thankfully I got the big warranty on it. I think they said I could run it over with my car and they're replace it... so hopefully they'll replace this. I just hope they can pull some of the vids off it.

sounds like a fun weekend..

a pick up truck with gas heading towards 5 bucks a gallon?

maybe you want to get a scooter or something :)

I don't have a far commute to work at all, and I think we need to get used to the idea of gas being expensive.

Hey Steve! I saw an electric scooter on clearance at Target... goes at speeds up to 10MPH for only $110 out the door... want me to send it to you?

Hahahaha, that would drastically increase the time it takes me to get to work, which means I'd have to wake up earlier, which means I'd probably murder someone.

I'll stick with a gas guzzler.

Although my neighbor growing up had scooters and we had a ton of fun on those things.

Segways are cool.

I'd be way out of place though with one of them around here. I'm quite certain I'd get hit by a car.

there's a segway tour of chicago that starts at navy pier -and there's a little park where they have the tourers practice getting used to the machines... I watched one day and there was one guy who was having trouble with the fact that if you leaned back - you'd go backwards and he kept going backwards and trying to jump off only to get almost run over with it..

Haha, where's the video camera when you need it.

They do look fun. But they don't go very fast, do they?
