Journey, Not A Destination

hmmm - mal's lower fat lasagna :)

mmmm lasagna ... :)

or baked ziti...

you're just blessed

I make a "Keith Lasagna" too... Lean Ground Beef, Whole Wheat Lasagna, Non-Fat Ricotta, 2% Mozz, and Ragu Light Sauce (sometimes I do it fresh, but I always add my special touches to the sauce anyways). Eggbeaters for the Ricotta and BANG...

It's not something I make all the time, but when I have a hankering for the old times... I whip out a fresh piece of that bad boy. I think I've got it down to like 250 cals a slice or something. Not bad for 12 servings...

damn that sounds good!!!

So I went off my diet big time yesterday..... figured I'd carb up for the next few days before starting this diet. Funnily enough, I looked leaner this morning than the entire two weeks and I dropped to my lowest of 188. Funny how that works. I must have been holding water.

I found out that our logo is done, so tomorrow we are going to check it out and if we approve, we'll have the next piece of our identity as a business. I'm excited about that.

Nothing else exciting to report.

Good to hear things are moving along on the personal and business fronts :)

Was there a glycogen balance issue going on?

What style of logo did you and Gord decide on?

Tell me about it.... I'm stoked. He left off one of the components we wanted b/c he said frankly on the message he left for me that he loves it the way it is. He thinks adding it will take away from the power of it, so we'll see.

Not having seen his previous work - I can't agree or disagree but if he's a successful tattoo artist, and Idoubt you'd go to an unsuccessful one - then I'd pretty much trust his artistic eye especially when he makes a comment like 'taking away from the power of it" ...

Hope you guys do like it.. :D

Yea, I didn't have any, haha.

I was eating next to zero carbs.

It's a take-off from the Vitruvian Man with a set of wings on the guy. It's what we wanted from the start, primarily.

Yeah, that'll do it to you... I went CARB crazy on Sunday and looked leaner on Monday morning...

Ah... a little da Vinci... nice touch. So, you do realize I want to be one of your first clients...

Yea, I agree Mal. In a way, it's working out to my advantage. I didn't want the part the artist is leaving off for now and Gord did.

That's pretty common with me too.

Ah... a little da Vinci... nice touch.

In my mind, from the get go, I wanted some spin off of the Vitruvian Man and the wings, to me, signify the ability to rise above.

It's a powerful picture from my eyes.... I'm sure not everyone will 'get it' but that's fine by me. I like to think the service will sell itself and the logo won't matter all that much.

So, you do realize I want to be one of your first clients...

Get in line, lol. I mean, I'm thankful as all hell that people are anxious about it, don't get me wrong. I leaked the website to family and friends and since then I've been emailed by 10 people I don't even know wanting to sign up.... it's crazy. We might actually have too much work... which is never a bad thing.

How does Gord feel about not having the part in without having seen it yet?

He's fine with it... that's without seeing it. Maybe he'll change his mind tomorrow but I doubt it. Honestly, we both loved it when he showed us a mock up of just the Vitruvian Man and nothing else...just rough sketched, so I'm sure we'll be not only content, but happy with what he has for us.

Just curious about your logo Steve, what format will you be getting it in and how it will be used? I don't want to make assumptions on a tattoo artist, he may well be a good graphic artist as well but in todays world you need to make sure you have your artwork in workable digital files as well. I had a guy send me a jpeg of an embroidered patch on a table he took with his camera the other day and wanted me to use that as the artwork on his binders. We can do it but the quality will be very poor.
