Journey, Not A Destination

Hey Steve :)

Thanks so much for your help!!! I am really excited to get started! I will let you know how it goes. I am going to start tomorrow morning. Thanks again! You must have put some effort into that, and I appreciate it a LOT!! Anyways, I hope you are good. It's my only day off to goof off, so i need to get going! ;)

Hey Brit, you are welcome.

No questions? If so, ask them in your journal and I'll check in.

Keep me posted.

Grrrr!

That was the worst game I've ever witnessed. Please God, don't let that be any indication of how the rest of this season is going to be. :(

If that was the worst game ever witnessed then you clearly missed last nights Giants/Cowpies debacle... good god that was scary... I like it when the offence shows up but when the defence stayed behind in Jersey it's hair-pulling out time... This is gonna be a long season if last nights game was any indicator...

It was really worse than the eagles game?

I find that hard to believe. How did T.O. do?

Good morning Steve! Getting by all the diaries to see what is new with everyone. Sorry I have not been by more often, but I have been swamped at work and otherwise forum preoccupied since my son is at Navy boot camp (since 07/14). I have been corresponding with other moms and a bit distracted.

BUT, I have not lost my focus on my weightloss goals. I just started a beach boot camp class that meets twice a week and is tough, but in a good way!

Hope things are going well with your goals and the website and married life is treating ya well! Have a great day!

Beth

It's cool that you can interact with other mothers of military people. Hope you son is doing well in bootcamp!

Thanks for the well wishes. :)

Thanks for posting that article under the "great read" thread. It was a great read. I've read posts where you've mentioned fish oil. Is there a particular brand of fish oil you prefer?
Thanks.

You are welcome.

No particular brand on the fish oil. I tend to go with the moderate priced versions. There are really expensive brands and really cheap brands. Figure the really expensive aren't worth it and I hope that the 'middle of the road' brand has a bit better quality than the el cheap-o's.

That said, get whatever... LOL.

I take 1000mg containing:

180 EPA
120 DHA

These 2 you will find on the label.

I take 6 of these daily.

I really don't. There are a few products out for sale that are excellent, but you don't need to buy them. You should be able to find a good bit on something like youtube.

That said, I'll add that I think dynamic flexibility work is over-rated this day in age. I certainly think it's important.... but some people in the industry make it out to be the next big breakthrough in mobility and performance.

People have been buiding impressive physiques long before such a heavy emphasis on dynamic work was brought into play.

Personally, I'll spend about 5-8 minutes of mobility work before starting my training.

This usually includes things such as:

High knees
leg swings (side to side and front to back)
hurdles
torso twists and circles
arm circles
some direct shoulder stuff that you probably don't need to worry about
scapula pushups

Nothing earth shattering, that is for sure.

What's crackin', homeboy? (Well.. other than your ass crack. haha jk) Just dropping in to say hello.. and by the way, that email you sent last night was too cute. Thanks! :D
