Journey, Not A Destination

Thanks Steve. Now if I could just figure out how to eliminate the cramping at night, I'd be a happy camper! The cramps are in the ligaments on my instep, too -- very hard to "walk it out" in that location.

Did you have an xray of the hand? Maybe it's broken.

I was reading on another respectable forum about people with cramp problems and how it's related to skewed electrolyte levels... Lyle McDonald actually gave some dosage recommendations of magnesium, sodium, and the like.... I'll have to see if I can dig it up again.

Hand isn't broke. I did have x-rays taken. They believe it's "nerve damage."

I'll give it another week and see how it feels as I start going heavy again in the gym. If it's bad, first I'll go to the chiro for some ART. After that doesn't resolve the issue, I'll have to go to a good doc I know in the city.

Just checking in on my newest harem hottie! :D How's your eating/workout program going this week?

I have to say--your discussions with Trevor make smoke come out of my ears. That's some heavy stuff! I'm mainly talking about past ones that might as well be written in Greek..lol. ;)

MGB has accused me of giving you a huge ego. I just call 'em how I see them! Big plans for the weekend? Leather arm straps?

Eating and training are going fantastic. Feels excellent to be 'on point' again. So much more energy and I'm starting to fill out again.

Smoke out the ears, huh. You might want to get that checked!

Hahaha. MGB doesn't know what she's talking about. Don't tell anyone but I think she's a little crazy. :p

This weekend I'm meeting with my partner to go over some website stuff. That can always lead to some mischief though.

And no, there will be no leather anything involved in my weekend!

HA! Well at least you can proudly say you have Hawaiian written posts in your diary from yours truly.

I want to fit right in with the local lingo when I'm there!

Ummmm that'll be difficult because for the most part if you really want to speak/ listen to native Hawaiians (k?naka maoli) you'll have to go into small areas of Big Island and well, Ni'ihau... but the latter's impossible if you're an "outsider." There's always "pidgin" (creole-like style of English), but then again.. any monkey can do that. :D

Yea, I've heard that certain sections of Hawaii don't take kindly to 'outsiders.'

Fascinating.

Yah... but that's pretty much anywhere you go. Ni'ihau is a private island where Native Hawaiians live. I have a lot of family there. And don't frett... I've got my Native Hawaiian ID card, so they won't fack with you. HA!

Haha.

I actually had a run in with a local in Maui. I never told the story b/c I hate being viewed as a meathead.

But we were driving on the Road to Hana which is incredibly busy with tourists. With that in mind, I can totally understand how the locals hate the congestion, especially on such a beautiful stretch of road and land.

However, I too hated all the tourists. They were your basic morons driving around without a care in the world.

Needless to say I wasn't in the greatest of moods.

I go to cross this single-lane bridge. I'm about half way over it and then a truck comes on and makes me stop. I was clearly on the bridge first. Yet, he insisted that I back up.

Me being about as hard headed as they come refused. The guy gets out of his truck. So I get out of my car. He took his stupid shirt off like I would run the other f-ing way from his 140 lb scrawny ass.

I simply said, "I'm not backing up unless I'm made to do so."

He huffed and puffed and hopped back in his truck and let me go, haha.

Thankfully he was by himself. Most of the locals travel in packs it seems. I saw countless pickup trucks loaded with guys. If that would have been the case, I probably would have backed up like a pussy. Def. didn't feel like getting jumped on my honeymoon.
