Wow, you look great yourself Steve - and I don't know if those pictures are "meant" to show progress, but from right to left, and to your avatar, it does seem like you are getting towards your goal - right? Good for you!
Hey, thanks for stopping in!!
Yea, I am making progress. I am leaner now then any of those pics. I will take updated pictures soon. I still have a month left of dieting, but there are a lot of circumstances thrown in that time period that will potentially throw me off track for a bit.
That said, it should be interesting to see where I end up at the end of June.
I live in a country where most people tend to be quite thin, so beyond those who pester me to lose weight, I do have women approach me telling me how they'd wish they could just put on some weight! In a sense, I think they'd want more curves without fat...
Where do you live?
I like curves. If I had to build my woman, she would certainly be curvaceous.
I don't find musclebound women or non-shapely women overly attractive, not that I'm shallow. It's just one particular preference of mine.
The problem is I've noticed that when I purchase workout gear and tools, people have this issue that muscled female equals not female female anymore - most go: "no stay away from the weights, the dumbbells etc.!" It's kind of sad how people have a limited notion of what strength training does to a body.
I used to train a lot of women. It was amazing how little they understood the body. Society has set up at atmosphere where people think it's easy to get lean and muscular. Even for women!! And this couldn't be further from the truth.
It's ashamed too, b/c since this notion exists, many women stay out of the weight room. Or, if they pick up weights..... they are equivalent to 3 lbs.
When all along, I think weight lifting is the most important form of exercise. Tides will turn, but it takes a lot of time and education.
Also, I find it irritating how people think that because you pay attention to how you look they just presume you have nothing else to offer - my personal experience. Very irritating, but not life hindering...!
I can certainly relate to this. Caring about your health and physique seems to be equivalent to being shallow nowadays.
Some of the coolest people in the world, that I've met, live this lifestyle day in and day out. It's their jobs. It's their lives. It's everything. Again, it just a form of ignorance.
To me I want to look how I am getting to feel more and more - confident, strong, self reliant...
That's great. I find too many people focusing on the scale. Whatever it takes to get to a certain weight, they'll do. They relate ultimate happiness to a certain weight.
It's not about that. It's about building a new you.... emotionally and physically. It's about how you feel. How you look. Improved performance and ability. The list goes on. The number..... that's such a small variable in the grand scheme of things that it's practically irrelevant.
I hope nothing but success for ya.... if you ever need anything, you know where to find me.
