That's something I haven't heard before, lol.
As long as you are hitting the major muscles twice per week, I'm fine with it. And if you are doing enough cardio/fitness stuff, weights once per week is fine for lower body.

I've been going to my gym for 4 and 1/2 years, pretty much since I moved to Santa Cruz. I have been a regular class-taker because I enjoy working out with others, and I have never been able to land a good workout buddy. So I work out alone unless I'm in a class. Well, except the Cambodian Ground-Fighting. Anyway, I know the trainers by now and they know me. I come to Psycho Michael's kickboe class religiously because it is such an intense, interesting workout--the music is good, and he always mixes it up to shock us. I LOVE it and so do many people--his class always has 20+ people--whereas other classes have 3-10 people. Anyway, a class can be permanently cancelled if enough people do not show up and I imagine it hurts the trainer's feelings. SO even though I would prefer to run, and weight train some days, I grudgingly go to the less popular classes just so the attendance is OK and because I'm friendly with the trainers. There is not enough time in the day. And when I was training for running a while back, and didn't come to a lot of the classes, I was missed and they asked where I was. Compounding my guilt.
This is weird! Oh well I just will have to work out 2 xs a day I guess![]()

Although, I was away this weekend. I went up to the Poconos and partied with some friends that live up there. It was a lot of fun.They said it was bachelor party number one.

Question for you -- I noticed the day after I did those jump squats that my right foot was hurting in the plantar fascia area. That really started worrying me, as the very thought of having plantar fasciitis again it pretty horrible. I was thinking about doing a modified jump squat, where I don't actually get off the ground, I just go to my tip toes, and then gently come down again. That way I wouldn't risk tearing the fascia again. Does that sound like a good alternative?
